Water pump on that is easy to do it yourself and the wheel bearing, you can do it yourself too. My 12' chevrolet impala Lt water pump went out, and i spent $100 for a new one and did it myself. Also, i thought my eavp solenoid was bad, but it was the hose line that was cracked, and that was the reason my engine light kept turning on, so i went and bought a 3' fuel line and replaced it and since then, my impala is running like a champ. I didn't need the whole 3' hose line. I only needed a foot of it. 170,000 miles, and i changed my oil every 4000 miles.
I absolutely love my 2008 impala SS at 98k miles on her. She treated very well, things ive done to the car is 4t80e swap an headlights. Oherwise, she still working with little to no problems.
Honestly, the Impala is a great choice! But NOT the ones with the 3.5 v6 and 4 Spd auto. Those are trash, but I still like my personal car. If I was getting an Impala, it would be a 2012 or up.
You are right it is the wheel bearing I have a 2012 and I have changed out the wheel hub twice. I guess it’s something with these cars the way that they sit is crooked and they just eat up the wheel bearings having dealt with this problem more than once, and I know how to change the hub by myself
My friend just got one and it has over 2000,000 miles on it. t runs good for him. are you selling yours?? if so how much let me knoe for real no bull. Ill take the bus and ride it back. Ill give you Cash.
I have Same exact car And it’s been good to me 150 k strong 💪

but what about the 3.8 series ii and iii?
Series iii is best
I have a 2011, 72k and still perfect. Ready for something else and people are fighting to buy my car.

Did you ever sell it?
We change our mind about selling. It will be mine for another 2 years.
Wheel bearing replace should be about 400 bucks not thousands
Next impala WILL be a 2012 or better then I'll be satisfied
That dreaded 3500 engine is just too underpowered (and a gas guzzler) for this heavy car.
@@thedirtybubble9613 true. i’ve been getting only 18.6 mpg recently. it’s terrible.
@@davidphammm1 In town I get 14 mpg driving. I get about 26 mpg on the highway. That's with a light foot too.
Buy a ev and forget about the ice junk..once you do you will never look back.
@@GerryMatestic-bw2zi I will consider it. I’m looking at some used model 3s.
It's not the transmission, ice vehicles are pieces of crap..
@@GerryMatestic-bw2zi absolutely true
