The video is set in Moscow in 1989. It is based on the story of Andrei Chikatilo. The former teacher was long considered the worst serial killer in Russian history. He killed a total of 53 people, most of whom were children or teenagers.
Ich Hasse Kinder was released on International Children's Day. Lyrically, we've all been there in one way or another. It's usually at the supermarket for me. I have Misophonia and tinnitus so it's a bit of a nightmare and I'm torn between trying desperately to block the noise out and tracking the kid and it's parents down and wiping the floor with them. Coming from the UK though, I tend to just tut a lot and mutter how my boys never behaved that way. In keeping with the lyrics, your own kids are little darlings while everyone else's are just sent to torment you. Watch the short film though as it explains everything😉. Good news day though as the investigations against Till Lindemann have been dropped as no evidence has been found to support any of the allegations. There's a lot of people out there who need to take a long hard look at themselves.

Actually went to a mother that wasnt bothered by her unbearable behavior of her child ( destroying public property and stuff) she just said that she doesn’t want to interfere with his personal growth.

This reminds me of Gerard Way's explanation behind MCR's Teenagers. When interviewed he said he was on a subway and was watching the way a group of teenagers were behaving on a packed train. They couldn't give two shits what the other passengers thought. They just did what they wanted and he was amazed at it. They had no fear of punishment or pissing someone off. Oh and I hate kids too.

I love this song. This song is about children crying and his being on a plane hearing it how much it bothers him. Till has Misophonia. Sounds bother him.

It´s a video about a young guy who was bullied over and over again until he became older well...and then the revenge on those who hurt him came ofc by him.

In my opinion, the song cannot be interpreted correctly without the music video. We see how young Till is a kid bullied by his peers. Children can be ruthless, and such treatment affects the victim throughout his or her later life. So Till hates children because they spoiled his life, so he takes revenge on his tormentors by remembering what kind of children they were. However, we later see Till in the company of a woman, his wife, so young that she could be his daughter, and his children. It is clear that he loves them very much and, just like in the text, he is not sure of his feelings. He decides to admit his guilt - the murders, so he is calm, a bit indifferent and gets drunk. Perhaps he thinks that he would not be a good father and prison will be a chance that he will not hurt his children. Lindemann is a genius, he is able to touch upon the dark human side in a unique and uncompromising way. For me, one of the greatest artists of the 21st century in the true sense of the word.

The 20ish minute version shows/explains more. I've had more than a few flights with a screaming child next to you or near. Flashbacks of an under two year old who had the lung capacity of a grown adult. Four hour flight abd the brat screaming for two hours. Noise canceling earphones couldn't drown them out two rows in front of me
