    New to your channel. Thank you for sharing all your talents and solutions on how you do things. Personally I would like to see more fused glass videos. I started out doing stained glass but I’m totally a fused glass artist now. I always learn from people like you even if I’ve been doing it for a long time. You are a wonderful teacher.

      Hi Donna,
      Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the video. Did you look at the fused glass one on how to make a fused glass candy dish?? There are some other videos I have made using fused glass in them. Check out the Leaded Glass floral videos, also there is one on a wall hanging floral project. Appreciate your kind words and welcome to my channel.

      Hi,
      So glad you found my channel and are enjoying the videos. There are 40 different projects to look at. Please feel free to ask me questions about any of these projects. How long have you been doing fused glass? I'm going to do a video in the near future on how to make a candy dish. This project will have both fusing the glass, slumping and draping in it. Keep your eye open for this one, should have it posted later this month. Again, thanks for your kind words,
      Regards,
      Bill Stone

    Great idea Bill, thanks for sharing! Where do you get the spinner mechanism and do they come in different sizes? Did you add any dichromatic or sparkle to the paint? Some of it looks very sparkly (is that a word?).

      @billstonesstainedglasscrea3310  5 місяців тому

      Hi Susan,
      Thanks for your comment, the reason the pinwheels sparkle is because the base glass is iridescent, and that gives you that look when the sun hits it! The Spinner motors are from Amazon, they have all kinds of them, some are even solar powered. They aren't too expensive. So glad you're enjoying these projects, it's been fun sharing them with others. Hopefully you will check out some the other videos on my channel. Have a great day!!

    when you fired the painted glass piece was the painted side down (against the kiln shelf) or up?

      Hi Bonnie,
      Thanks for your comment on my UA-cam channel. The full fire is with the painted side up, then after it's fused, I turn it over and cut it, so the small black lines show. Glad you enjoyed the video. Did you get a chance to check out the fused glass candy dish video, it also has a painted dish in it, then check out WE HAVE A WINNER!!! Here we took a vote to see which one everyone liked best. Thanks for subscribing to my channel.

    Love it Bill ! Makes me wish I could get a kiln. Have you built a mobile?

    • @billstonesstainedglasscrea3310

      Hi Julie,
      Great to hear from you again, glad you enjoyed this project. I'm going to make a mobile later this month. I'm going to used fused glass parts left over from other projects, I think I will call it the odds and ends mobile. If you want to play around with the fused glass, check out some of the UA-cam videos using a small microwave kiln in a microwave oven. You can get them from Amazon. You will also have to get a separate microwave oven with a turn table in it. It doesn't have to be an expensive one. Maybe you know someone who has an old microwave they want to get rid of and will give it to you. If you use one of these little microwave kilns in the microwave you can't use it to heat any food, because of the high heat and it will contaminate the inside of the unit. I hope you have tryed some of these projects. Thanks for your comment, look forward to hearing from you in the future.
      Regards,
      Bill Stone

    I've watched other people put a clear piece of glass when they use frit on top but you didn't do that? Is it because of the temp, or is it a personal choice? Like with jewelry, I mean like a sandwich clear glass, frit, clear glass

    • @billstonesstainedglasscrea3310
      @billstonesstainedglasscrea3310  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi Michelle,
      Most of the time I don't put another piece of glass on top because I don't want it to be too thick. Also, when you put the second sheet of glass on top sometimes it's hard to keep the bubbles out from in between the two sheets of glass. If I were to use a bottom sheet than frit than a top sheet, I would make both of them 2MM thick and not the standard 3MM thick. This project was made with glass that I painted. Hope that makes sense. Enjoy your day!!

    where is the firing schedule? for the glass paint part

    • @billstonesstainedglasscrea3310
      @billstonesstainedglasscrea3310  4 місяці тому

      Hi Susan,
      If you're into fused glass already, just use your firing schedule for a full fuse, my kiln is between 1475 degrees and 1485 degrees to get a nice flat fuse on my glass, I'm using COD 96 glass for all my fused glass projects. The Paint I used for this project is made by Glassline and they say you can go as hot as 1500 degrees; I have never tried going that hot myself. I hope that helps you out. Check out the video Fused Glass Candy Dishes, there is a painted glass dish in that video also. Please feel free to ask me anything about these projects on my channel. Thanks for your comment. Have a great day!!
