Was it 07? That one had You’re Ever so Inviting by Underoath - my favorite video game and soundtrack ever. The only reason I still use my wii is so I can play the GameCube version
Agreed so much, definitely I was thinking Dead Poetic, The Used, Eighteen Visions. I never thought I would welcome the return of fashioncore as a rooster alternative to cringe AFs like MGK and Ronnie Radke
Speaking of vision, parts remind me of Eighteen Visions as well, amongst a ton of other bands from that era. Sound, aesthetic, everything, is so perfect.
I never cared for much “post hardcore” outside of Underoath, and they set the bar and held it high. Congrats fellas, you just broke that ceiling. This and Adaptive Taste are perfection, stoked for more.
Hello, good morning Say bye to yesterday Where you going pretty lady With that look on your face? Really love this song. I'm 29 and often listening to the music I enjoyed back in high-school or before then when i want to indulge in the early 2000s emo/post harcore type of music. I've been hoping to find a band that makes music that sounds like it was something that would have came out when I was a teen. It's so good!!! However this is still very unique and I absolutely love the lyrics and the way the musician sings words. So beautiful. Perfection.
I remember when it was released, I looked for new bands every week, today a little less But from time to time I come back here A mix of post-grunge and metalcore!
Love seeing guys like this and seeyouspacecowboy. I rejected the scene I grew up with after finding 90s hardcore and emo bands and entered an obnoxious pretentious phase in my 20s, but now that I’m pushing 30 I’m romanticizing the bands I grew up with again. I miss the days of underoath, Thursday, taking back Sunday, from autumn to ashes, poison the well, he is legend, emery, fuck I could go on and on. It’s cool to see and I hope we see more of it
What a powerful, erotic, dreamy, like style. Instant nostalgia when listening to this. The mix of Ollis softer vocals and screams meshes perfectly with the bands synergetic playing, it just sounds and feels complete. Y’all are wonderful story tellers, and this is inspiring stuff.
@@chewingonfoil dude, you're so welcome! Completely underrated. Really glad I could turn someone else on to them! Jamie Lenman's solo stuff is pretty great, too. Not Reuben level, but totally worth checking out.
My God I was suprised that this just dropped this year. This is so dope guys im looking forward towards more releases. Definitely going to be in the heavy rotation.

Just found it yesterday.
Almost 4 years
@@alexmorpheus67625…
Just heard this for the first time. Reminds me of Alexisonfire. I'm about to go on a deeeeep dive into the discography!
five years now
It’s been so long since I’ve heard such a great post-hardcore track. I feel like I’m playing Madden in 2006. And trust me, that’s a really good thing.
Was it 07? That one had You’re Ever so Inviting by Underoath - my favorite video game and soundtrack ever. The only reason I still use my wii is so I can play the GameCube version
@@jackhiggins9354 07 had by far the best soundtrack
And I feel like playing FIFA 06. That game got the best EA soundtrax in my opinion.
@@jackhiggins9354 just wait until you hear about the Dolphin emulator
This gives early 2000s Alexisonfire vibes and I'm here for it.
im so glad im not the only one who heard this
MySpace emo is back and I’m here for it thank you for this beautiful song
Much better quality than what MySpace had to offer really. More concise hooks too with these guys.
@@Greatlakeskyle. oh 100% without a doubt much better but the aura around them reminds me of that era
I don't know if I'd say this was enough. It's really good. And emos gay lol
Not emo but still myspace asf

I get a nostalgic feeling listening to these guys. Reminds me of my teen years. This def would've been on a AMV back then haha
i used this song on the latest AMV from my channel lol
Combining Post-hardcore roots with modern lofi and shoegaze dressings, wrapped in one solid earworm of a package
LOFI??? WHAT
@@xnosmokenoknivesx maybe the vocal mixing? Not too sure, but I am sure there are multiple inspirations for this group

why are you looking for aesthetics lol
fugue vibes are important
Check out Underoath

This song scratches a part of my brain that's been itching for years
I always loved bands like Funeral For A Friend, Alexisonfire, Underoath (2004-2008), Dead Poetic, Emery, Chasing Victory, etc.
Now I love you too
I love this band so much, they deff bring back the great forgotten post-hardcore style of Thursday, dead poetic, underoath, and many other greats.
Agreed so much, definitely I was thinking Dead Poetic, The Used, Eighteen Visions. I never thought I would welcome the return of fashioncore as a rooster alternative to cringe AFs like MGK and Ronnie Radke
The vision these guys have so far is a perfect storm to success.
Speaking of vision, parts remind me of Eighteen Visions as well, amongst a ton of other bands from that era. Sound, aesthetic, everything, is so perfect.
This is more Underoath than nowadays Underoath
Chris Frost saddest fact 😭
The accuracy of this statement
this is more like alexisonfire, but tbh they've got their own thing going and I fuck with it
Word ❤️
This comment is hilarious but also depressing at the same time. Underoath has transformed to hot garbage.
I didnt even like this genre but I do now. This sounds straight out of 2003 and im loving it.
Reminds me of Finch.
Really excited to see these guys supporting BMTH in January, takes me back to 2008 when I first started getting into Deaf Havana and bands similar!
it scares me how much these guys know precisely what they're doing. so clean (no pun intended), polished, throwback to early 2000s phc
Gerard Way Jr. fronting the love child of Dead Poetic and Emery while filming a Senses Fail type video
Dead Poetic I haven't heard that name in YEARS
I had my playlist on shuffle and a Static Dress song came on followed by a Dead Poetic song, I could not tell the difference lol
That Emery reference though, sheeeesh

Hello, good morning
Say bye to yesterday
Where you going pretty lady
With that look on your face?
I felt your disease
Left blind and so weak
I raised everyone
You owe it to me
Let it go, let it go
That's all you had to say
I'm not one for many words anyway
Don't speak unless spoken to
The bottle it takes
Away the mistakes we made
I hold everything
You left this to me
So you know these dreams
I hope you know they don't float
And I'll be the saviour under your waistcoat
Emergency surgery
You standing over me
I held you close
This scene's so fitting
Headstones they prove what we once had
They prove what we once had
Let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go
That's all you had to say
I'm not one for many words anyway
Don't speak unless spoken to
These guys opened for sleeping with sirens on monday, I've never fallen in love with a band so quickly. So fucking amazing.
I feel lucky to know this band, good shit
This was beautiful. Thank you for this post hardcore revival ❤️
It’s weird to hear music like this coming back more often. I definitely would’ve listened to you guys back in the day.
Zoomers got started early on the nostalgia trend because shit just keeps getting worse every year 😎

Heard y’all on my Discover Weekly and can’t stop listening. Definitely giving me an early 2000’s emo and mid 2000’s post-hardcore vibe.
This reminds me so much of Emery and The Bled! Missing those days and KUDOS on this! 🖤🖤🖤
So much bled vibes
I’m glad someone else hears The Bled in them!
The whole way thru is some gritty heavy vibes played in such a smooth way
I really thought the vocal delivery is unique af. Awesome stuff
Said it on twitter and I'll say it here -- best song of 2019 hands down. Hope there's more sooner than later. Fantastic stuff!
