The Robinsons helped me realize that I couldn't improve my life before I went to Jesus and that I needed to take the initiative and be babtized and then by going to Jesus my life would improve and they were absolutely correct. They helped me learn so much about Jesus listening to them for two plus years. Now that I'm 21 I know I still have a long road but I'm not the same as I was before taking Jesus into my heart fully and I'm so blessed for it. Thank you guys

My Dad hated his hearing aids. He said there was so much background noise it would drive him crazy. So I understand not wanting to wear them unless necessary. I love this podcast! So glad you keep making these. Have a blessed day Robertsons, and everyone watching.
God has been pulling on my heart for decades now, preparing me for where I am heading and I finally feel like “I get it”, my calling. I’m a stay at home mom of 4 and we homeschool. My husband is a firefighter. And I am starting to write a book! I’d appreciate any prayers for our path and if I’m also meant to go “speaking”, shepherding. Edited to add: I just now heard Jase talking about writing a book and goodness I feel like it’s yet another sign for me that it was this episode today. The book is about why I consider myself “prayerfully blessed”. My testimony and some insight into our godly marriage.

I'm the same ago as Phil, my parents are 93 and 97, I don't like so much about new tech, but I'm very happy my 97yr old World War II vet dad can call me very easily from his cell phone and I am able to enjoy him he's extremely cognitive still and I'm just grateful that I do have the wherewithal to talk to him so I thank God for some of these new inventions but I do agree that can be problems God bless you all and so glad my Godly dad is still alive but I know he's going home very soon but I praise God I know where he's going amen

The reason Si talks louder if the caller is farther away, is that when he was young, this was effective.
Back in the day, the phone systems were analog. This meant that the voice signal was NOT converted into binary/computer code at each end before being sent X,XXX miles.
Rather with analog, the signal travels in its "raw" state AND it degrades as it works its way through miles and miles of noise causing copper wire, through multiple switching and amplifying devices, not to mention ending up coming out of a sturdy, but crude, speaker at the end of the line. As such, soft voices would get drowned out by interference, signal noise (static), and amplification distortion the call collects along the line.
Thus, a person would need to 'speak up and speak clearly' or enunciate loudly (think Phil saying serious like Bur-Aw-Craw-Ceee (bureaucracy)) in order to overcome the negative impacts of all that junk that builds up on the line, especially after a few hundred miles or more.
my Dad is 81 and has never had a cell phone. My mom does and all my brothers and sisters have cell phones. But Dad is the one that you can get ahold of, better than anyone else.

I got stuck in the middle of an intersection on a sheet of ice with two infants in the car. Someone with a cell phone saved my bacon so I bought one for safety.
Our phone line went out for two weeks a few years ago and afterward we got a cell phone for each of my parents. It has saved our bacon lots of times. I got a cell phone my freshman year of college and it has helped me so much if I'm ever in trouble on the road. I always have my phone on me when I drive anywhere just in case. They are a useful tool.

Si was correct with the yelling on the telephone in the past. With the analog lines, they had what were called ECHO CANS, which were placed along the call route to increase the volume of the call along the way, but it also picked up and repeated the interference as well. This meant the further the call, the louder the interference, the louder you had to speak. Jase is correct in that with the new digital technology, and fiber optic lines, the calls are now clear sounding, and no need to yell. This is a layman's interpretation, so forgive me if I misspoke! Love the show!

My dad is one of 10 siblings and we grew up talking and adults playing cards just as you describe your family and dominos. Tv was on for wizard of oz or the goonies but we didn’t sit and stare.

I found my keys to my home and car in the refrigerator . Lol I had them in my hand and opened the frig,and I set the keys on the frig shelf, freeing my hands to get something out to eat. I looked all over the house for those keys.

I just noticed how crazy it seems that Abraham lived almost 300 years longer than our savior. A tool of God lived longer on the physical realm than the Son of God. It puts into perspective how much Jesus really gave up for us. Praise the Lord!

Don’t worry Phil I have been barefoot for 67 years. I only wore shoes when I had to go out. I love being barefoot- got hurt pretty bad because of it -but I have stepped on a nail with shoes on and went it right through.
I remember in the late 90's, my poor dad (in his late 70's) was talked into buying a cell phone at the store in the mall. He didn't understand what he was getting into nor about the monthly billing! He couldn't figure it out and gave it to me...That's how I found out what had happened. All he wanted was a regular phone service at the place he moved to! I was so mad at that sales person!!! I spent hours jumping through hoops to get that phone into my name so he wouldn't be stuck with it.

My wife and I were looking for my wife's cell phone. I called it and we heard it in the dishwasher 🤣.
I have never seen her move so fast as the dishwasher had just started. How did you manage that I said laughing! The phone was caught in time and It still works.

As to age and cell phones my stepmother is 99 years old and she had a cell phone before me and I'm 63
She got it because her land line was not depenable
I didn't want one because of cost but I gave in 12 years ago because there are no pay phones any more

Never wore a watch, they just wouldn’t work right, to fast ... to slow, after the first day they stopped, than my hubby got me an Iwatch I love it 🥰 so my phone is basically strapped to my arm ... think of the service men and women who have actually died for our country, it happens more than you think. Not that, that makes them close to Jesus, just the percentage that Al gives might be off a bit.
We Highly recommend every person to remember that Jesus died as the only Perfect sacrifice for all humanity of every single color and race...period!! God sees everyone through his Only Son and I thank God for this Every day. The President is doing things Lawfully by keeping the Illegal people out!!!
