The others, our fellow humans, are the(abyss)…………. We must take them with us to heaven! They well help us in our journey, as we help them, thru our faith in Jesus. It’s a collective effort! Start fishing………for souls! Take them hunting or fishing, they’ll figure it out!

I was raised on the bayous of south Louisiana and at night my grandmother would spray Black Flag spray over us while we slept to kill the mosquitoes in the room. Cole oil stove , fireplace, chickens, milk cows , were the means not to be hungry. Trapping and fishing were work and fun. Looking back they were wonderful times with hard work and appreciation for your culture and family sacrifices.
This story of the man wanting to be baptized in nature reminds me of how I (much to my shame) I missed the mark when my oldest daughter wanted to be baptized. Your response Phil was so spot on as was my daughters. She accepted Christ at age 5 but was around 10 when she asked to be baptized. Our church building was almost complete (we had been meeting in schools for many years). She told me she needed to be baptized. My response was, wait the church is almost complete. She said NO I need to do it now not wait. So as our church had done for the years we were without a building we did it at the picnic at a tree farm in a cow trough. She got it, and boy did the Holy Spirit convict through her words! It's the obedience, it's Christ not the place.
The Duck Call Room is different from this podcast. There are usually 4 Godly men just talking about life. They draw people in & *lead by example* rather than by preaching. Never underestimate the impact that has. As far as award categories, I believe Martin said they're listed in the entertainment genre. There are always interesting stories ~ they have children & families, they appear at events, they fish/hunt/cook; The Duck Call Room is not based on Si's telling 'mostly true' tall tales. That was the highlight of playing outside was running behind the truck spraying whatever it was spraying. The fog was so thick we couldn’t see each other. One of my favorite memories as a child. 😂 probably DDT
I’m kinda bothered that Al thinks he knows what’s best for the Duck Call Room podcast. People like myself will ALWAYS watch certain podcasts we like just because the genuineness of the people. Everyone has an audience buts its consistency that makes you great.
The two Silases, Uncle Si and Jase, have many many characteristics in common. It saddens me to hear the negative talk regarding the Duck Call room-Uncle Si is very loved and appreciated.

Just wanted to say I love watching your podcast, also wondering is it cheaper to adopt children from other countries rather than here in the United States? Just seems that people whom have money and adopts children they always adopt from other countries, I feel so bad for the children here in the USA if I was able or in a position to adopt I would for sure adopt from the USA 🇺🇸, just saying
To me, putting the award on the shelf reminds me of the difference between earthly rewards and rewards in heaven. As far as I know you don't do this for earthly rewards.
I know my great grand parents told me some stories that were outlandish but I believed them. Especially now their great grands now have some of the same outlandish stories. I believe some people just experience things other people don't.

Y'all are so right BC its the same way in Alabama when they give snow everyone comes for milk(snow cream stuff) and bread. I worked in our small town grocery store and it madness. And we had the fastest 3 fast cashiers and bag boys (which us cashiers were faster than the boys. Pray for us we are suppose to get snow Monday and Tuesday. Also send up prayer for me I discovered I had breast cancer around Christmas. And always praying for y'all.

I quit listening to Duck Call Room to be honest. It’s funny, but it didn’t really have a clear focus. That’s what I like about this one, the Bible Study.
