Hey, KSK how do you scale properly, My laptop resolution is 1440p, In gnome I use the tweak tool to scale which increase the fonts but the window tilebar icons remain small and also other things.
Bro don't use tweak tool it will break the UI. Choose the native scale resolution of your laptop, then go to settings, accessibility features and enable LARGE text. Simple..
I installed the BlendOS repos on Garuda and tried to install blend-settings but unfortunately it didn't work for me. On the other hand, installing the nvidia 390xxx driver in BlendOS brought me serious stability problems. I think this is a visionary distro from the point of view of managing and installing Android and containers. I look forward to the developer team making it really capable. Please take example from Garuda and LinuxMX
Yes the project is niche, I like the way how it helps to use DNF, pacMan , Apt all in one place + android apps. Its a visionary distro that needs an optimisations.
I’m using lattepanda v1. I just installed blend os but it won’t boot. Instead, it boots in UEFI Mode. Any tips?

I guess I downloaded April Build Not sure though. Current builds are very buggy. Try Vanilla OS

Very similar to the ublue project. It looks great with a lot of polish.

Its very smooth. I uses cinnamon desktop which is considered to be light weight.

NO bro bare metal.
When you are running BlendOS on VM, your hostOS relies on Intel VT-X.

IF you install blend OS on a bare metal, you can use virtual Box or QEMu or VMWare to install Fedora or Ubuntu on a VM. This is possible through VT-X, make sure its enabled from BIOS.

for those with install problems: you have to write the image in dd mode and use another drive for the installed os then in the installation medium go to console and type lsblk to see your drive for installation then type gdisk /dev/your_drive then type o, type y and type w and again y. Now unplug the drive for the installed system and replug and beginn the installation with blendos installer
It may also need windows file system support as well. it would make windows users stay on linux.

Yes it does have stability issues.
Maybe I'm just jaded from working with Docker and Kubernetes, but the idea of using containers and overlay FS for daily driver OS things seems unnecessarily complex and likely prone to weird behavior.
I'm stuck on manual formatting. Does this not support dual-boot?

Since there are only like 5-8 basic distros and everything else a fork- why don't the developers just go ahead and MAKE the damn containers before they ship it? I don't understand all that crap- and it didn't work right for me because of that. They should just MAKE the containers and have them already there and working-- PERIOD.
distrobox is my distro killer. immutable distros are a little too hardcore and kind of swinging into the "howard hughes" level of paranoia if you're just a regular everyday garden variety linux distro hopper/gamer.

How to dual boot BlendOS and Windows 10?
BlendOS installer offers to create manual partitions. Using that you can dual boot windows 10 or 11
Similar to Windows with its WSL system.
Only this is Linux with WSL for other linuxes.
can someone help me how to calibrate this thing on my sound driver, it didn't work 😢. I've tried watching many videos how to fix it but they're the same only alsa.

Bro try a Distro that ships with LTS kernel, for ex: Ubuntu 22.04.
Then install pulseaudio and see if audio works fine.
Mind you that, if your laptop is older its better to go with LTS kernel based distro.
Next when you make a video, please pause between clicks, to allow viewers with visual impairment to keep up. You will understand when you are 40 years older than now. 😊

Wow is it bad right after installing it won't let me upgrade it via the terminal I had to do it with gnome store setup the Ubuntu container it won't let my start it I have so many issues it's not even funny vanilla os is better

you can use waydroid pretty much in any distro to run android apps.
It is not as elegant as Vanilla OS, so I have installed Vanilla instead. Installing arch and Ubuntu packages is much easier.

I don’t know what you mean by "fancy", they’re both gnome and with the same user interface. In fact, Vanilla OS forces you to remember parameters for each dock, while Blend allows you to use the native command, facilitating installation. And Vanilla OS does not support Android apps...

I didn't try but the installer is capable of making dual boot.

FYI before anyone decides to use this try it in a vm first i installed it on hardware waydroid does not work at the moment no idea why i followed the barely documented instructions in the settings app and this is on the release it is not a beta but i guess expecting a distro made by a literal child to actually work the way it is supposed to is false

It is very very very unstable. As of now its just alpha quality software, not even beta. Things break all the time. No youtuber should recommend this to a wide audience which may try to use it as their daily driver.
I just reviewed it. At the end of the video, i quoted it has stability issues. Just appreciating the efforts of the developer. Thats it. All it needs is optimisations.

All of this Stuff About Blend OS is Difficult to digest.
Take it easy. I appreciate the developer worked hard to bring this project. It needs some optimisations , polishing stuff and fixing stability issues.
The more I see about blend the more it feels like a worse version of NixOS with contanerazation built in.
It's actually getting better now.
