I asked why and she explained it like “even though she was like Rapunzel’s adoptive mum and raised her and loved her, some mums aren’t supportive of this. Especially when the daughter is young. Back when this takes place, there wasn’t anything to avoid being pregnant before or after the fact.” She never told me the original story of Peter Pan and made sure to rewatch the movie before letting me watch it, realizing there were still some things in the Disney version she didn’t want me seeing. i read a version of peter pan when i was in like 6th-7th grade. but it was different i remember it talking about a tribe being there and one of the girls liking him but he ended up leaving her behind but still sent her letters or something like that. i’ve been trying to find the name of that book bc i wanted to read it again but i can’t remember the name or author all ik is the book cover at the time was like a orange-ish black mixed with a flower on it. if anyone knows the name pls cmmt it bc i can’t find it on google! EDIT: i found it the book is called “tiger lilly” thank you to the cmmt i saw when i was scrolling seeing that name made me remember that was literally the title of the book😭
