I think I’ve finally found the perfect watch case. If you’re like me you really do cherish your watches, and having a storage solution that is both aesthetic and beautifully made is something I value. In today’s video I review the 8 watch case by Bosphorus Leather. I give my honest opinion, and include details that I find important to owning this case.

Great review Chris…I have 2 Petra watch boxes and they are great! I have the same configuration you have with the green and tan as well as black with red interior. They are a great size to fit in standard safes. PRO TIP: Bosphorus runs a Black Friday sale that they discount the box price and throw in a matching single watch travel roll with the same colors. Also I got a camp watch pouch free. Great deal if you can wait.

My biggest concern is watch pillows, because when you have a 6.875” wrist like mine, I wanna make sure the pillow doesn’t wanna expand too much within the bracelet/strap - that stress on the watch would stress me out too lol - I like the Rolex OEM style pillows because they have that particular shape that conforms to a smaller watch while taking the brunt of the force, instead of that force being carried out by the watch. Hopefully that makes sense, people with bigger wrists might not even have thought of this. Even other fellow small wrist ppl might not cared… This is one thing that keeps me from fastening my Cartier onto its OEM pillow, way too much expansion stress on the bracelet. Meanwhile the Rolex provided pillow is just perfect (you do have to be careful the watch doesn’t slip off though, but that’s a given and it’s worth it). The only watch storage solution I’ve found that copies the Rolex pillow shape is the Everest brand. Not sure if they’re *actually* as flexible as the true Rolex ones. Sorry for the long comment but hopefully someone gets value from it.

I have to agree, the watch cases are amazing, i got the small 2 watch case in the same colours for my bi metal rolex Rootbeer and Wimbledon. I have a watch roll for others plus buying a case would mean i have more spaces and 5 watches is the perfect number for me at the moment. My only complaint is the screws that are at the side of the cushions which show and could potentially wear the cushions, this only happens on the two watch case though.
I was not aware of that issue. I would definitely send Bosphorus pictures and voice your concern, maybe do that and also mention how you’d like a 5 watch box. Maybe they can take that issue into consideration and give you a better price 🤷🏼♂️ worth a shot. Btw I like that idea of having a separate two watch box special for your bi metal watches. Cool idea

The quality looks beautiful for the price. I chose a less expensive wood and glass box that I'm very happy with but I can certainly appreciate this one.
I still really like the look of a nice wood and glass case.
I think you've sold me on this brand as my first watch case. Currently have the same watchstand as yourself but my collection has since grown. I even like this colour combo but can't decide whether to go for the traditional case or the briefcase 🤔

Great video and gorgeous box! I’ve been using Tawbury for their 8 watch. But this has me considering a change 🤔 OR, maybe additional 2 watch Bosphorus for my most special pieces.
I haven’t heard of that brand, I’ll have to check them out. But yes adding a two box for maybe your two most worn or prized would be cool 🤷🏼♂️
Scatola Del Tiempo from Italy is a solid alternative, even though you said there wont be better, I feel Scatola is a solid competitor and made in Italy.

Very helpful. I've been looking for a watch case. In regards to Wolf, I think it depends on what you buy. The watch winder you have says vegan leather but the roll I bought says genuine leather, "pebble grain leather, interior suede," to be exact.
Oh maybe they started doing genuine leather. Thats good, because I like their designs but materials matter just as much. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this review! As someone with a small 6.25" wrist, a lot of cushions that come with the nicer watch rolls or boxes are too big. It seems like this one might work, so I'll be ordering one soon.

Quick question - I see that the upper panel under the lid that is monogrammed is leather instead of suede as shown on their site. Does monogramming automatically change that upper panel from suede to leather?

Chris, a good review. I've been eyeing a custom watch box from N&N Watch Cases in St. Petersburg, Russia... 10 watches in a walnut case with green leather interior for around $800 USD. Unfortunately, they currently cannot ship outside of Russia.
I would say that in some ways they are comparable albeit the Bosphorus Leather is leather covered versus wood, but I prefer wood.
I have seen N&N watch cases, they do look pretty nice 👌🏼 unfortunate you can’t get them rn

Whats the size of the pillows? I have an average wrist size, my rolex day dates fit me right out of the box with out adding or taking links away, but seems like every watch case i find has really small pillows that dont support my watches.
I didn’t change the pillow sizes. So the standard size

Damn, you actually sold me on that LV more than the Bosphorus 👌🏽🤣, imo if you got Rolex Cartier and Pateks LV is the way to go, if you got Omegas Seikos and Breitlings than Bosphorus 🤷🏻♂️
To each their own. But I think the material on the Bosphorus is better. I guess if you want the LV to show off the collection, I could see how that would look very appealing. But it ain’t worth 8k 🙃
@@ChristopherNegroni You did just mentioned LV goes up in re-sale value, that’s a big factor. Just like the watches I can enjoy it, know in my head it’s worth and get my money back practically own it free where as Bosphorus you automatically lost value as soon as you swiped the card, And yes I rather have my Rolex and Pateks in a lesser quality LV logo box same reason I rather drive my X6 unreliable but bad ass looking 2022 BMW and not my 2006 Toyota stick shift Corola I got parked, that will probably still outlive my luxury car, it’s all about the snobbery, reason why I got my big o house and pool, to show off, UA-cam community (except for the Pontiff) want you make you feel bad for being a show off snob, but I’m a snob and I work hard for it, so yea I like showing off my bad ass snobbery things
@@frankv7068 I’m not trying to make you feel bad at all. I love a bit snobbery myself. But for me, and again this is personal taste, I like the minimal, no so brash in your face look of the Bosphorus. And the fact that it’s nicely made is a plus. Now what I did not say is that the LV box goes up in value no no no my friend I said it retains some value. Maybe you recoup 4K of your 8k and that’s assuming the box and all the cushions are still in good shape. What I also should of mentioned is these Bosphorus cases also hold their value. It’s a quality item that’s all I’m saying.

I just wish you could either remove those straps on the sides of the watch tray, or if there were buttons on the inside walls of the tray so you could snap those straps to them, once you remove the cover piece. I don't like the way they look just flopping around and I think you'd have to mind them every time you close the lid.

@@Channel-io1di no not really. Because they are constantly bent when the buttons are fixed, they kind of stay in that position. But I also always button up the top before I close it. I like it all in place that way. I wouldn’t remove the cover away from the box
