In this video i responded to your kpop opinions. please keep in mind once more that this is just MY opinion and everyone is entitled to their own :) as i’ve said earlier, this is just a rant and chatty session. Feel free to leave your personal opinions too on the comments & suggestions for upcoming vids. My apologies for not being able to respond to all your opinions. part 2? lol.

Some things I need to clarify.
1. The rumors about KAACHI turned out to be false!! Thank you to those who pointed that out. I made this video a few days after kaachi debuted and it was when every kpop channel were making videos about them so i just got my information based on those. But yes, i do realize now that the rumors are false.
2. Just because I don’t get the same energy from bts anymore doesn’t make me an anti. I’m am NOT going to unstan them just because they released something that wasn’t my cup of tea. I’ve made it so clear that I still support the boys and look up to them.
3. To everyone pressed about me saying that “UGH” didn’t slap, please remember that everyone has different music tastes & i’ve mentioned it so many times in this video that it is just MY opinion and that i’m entitled to that and so are you to your own. I also never said UGH was bad, i clearly said “.. doesn’t slap AS HARD as...”. I respect everyone’s opinions so please do the same for me.
4. I mentioned it so clearly that i understand why bts won soty so pls don’t come @ me like “but bts won by blabla and twice jdjdjd” and what not. I KNOW that and even mentioned the reasons why bts won in the end. Pls watch the whole thing before you start commenting.
5. I’m not saying Taehyung can’t change. I clearly said “i guess he just MATURED”. I understand he’s an adult and though I miss his childish and goofy side at times, I know that it is totally normal. I just stated what I observed from him.
6. I am NOT trying to argue with people from other fandoms. In case you didn’t read the title, it’s responding to kpop opinions. So no, I wasn’t trying to create a fight. I was also giving my own personal opinion.

As much as I’m both an ARMY and a ONCE, I 100% think FANCY should’ve got the SOTY. I love both songs but FANCY captivated me more. Boy With Luv was a total bop but I don’t think it beats FANCY. Like I said I’m a huge ARMY and ONCE so it hurts to choose between songs but it’s the truth.

-hold up, I'm so mad about this. This sounds like those toxic parents/aunts/uncles who compare siblings ALL THE DAMN TIME. Chaeyeon has better vocals. Chaeryeong has better rapping. Both are dance queens. Both worked their asses off for the past decade to be an idol. DON'T COMPARE THE CHAESIS, THEY'RE BOTH AMAZING IN THEIR OWN WAYS.

Lia is a singer who learned to dance and the rest of the members are dancers who learned to sing.

Lia’s whole situation about being lazy and not know how to dance is very similar to BP Jisoo’s debut situation. Jisoo was trained to be an actress and idol throughout her trainee life which explains why she isn’t the best when it comes to dancing but it doesn’t mean she’s terrible at it. Fans needs to realize that it’s normal for someone to be better than the other cause some are born with that talent.

I’ve had this same opinion since I became a k-pop stan: stanning a popular group doesn’t make you basic, and stanning an uncommon group doesn’t make you different than other stans.

Yep. Stanning a group just means that you stan a group. No one is a basic K-pop fan for liking big groups like BTS, and no one is "special" for liking more unknown groups. I hate some of the K-pop fandom for establishing stupid rules like this. Stan whoever you want, music is music regardless of how popular it may or may not be.

i think people only say this bc kpop songs in general are written pretty high keys. but technique is totally more important than vocal range. i think its just ignorant people who make these kinds of comments without being educated in music/singing
@Daniel Perez Alvarez IKR. There's just something about them. All of the members have distinct and unique voices but when they harmonise, angels sing. And don't even get me started on their technique. Even the main rapper, could be a main vocalist. I don't stan them, but love their music and support them.

I feel bad for taehyung. People have to realize that he’s a 25 year old man. He’s grown up. He doesn’t have to smile all the time. I mean nobody actually smiles all the time. Nobody is extremely happy all the time. Not even taehyung. It isn’t because of fame, it’s because he’s grown up. There is a difference between being sad and being grown up. And i think it’s time for you all to learn that difference.

They’re using the girls as models and endorses rather than them being artists. I think BTS is trying to be more careful in front of the camera. In the past, they were not as popular as now. So they were more comfortable. Yoongi was cursing in front of the camera. If they do the same, antis will create a problem. They also got older. Now they are more mature.
i definitely agree with them being more mindful of their portrayal in front of cameras, but i don't quite agree with the yoongi part since he added quite a lot of curses in his lyrics in D-2. he doesn't shy away from being true to everyone.

I don't think fame changed BTS. We just have to understand and accept that people are bound to change and it's only emphasised with BTS because everyone's eyes are on them. You can't expect that Taehyung now will be the same with Taehyung 4 years ago and that applies to the members and every other idol, they were younger then and became more mature now. They bound to change.

“The fame got to BTS”, I’m not really a big BTS stan but from videos I see that they are really humble people and I see from some clips of RM’s speeches, they are very empowering. Sure they got a lot more famous over the years, but not everyone stays the same the more people got famous. If I was in V’s position, I would’ve changed the way I expressed myself as well because I wouldn’t want to make any bad mistakes. Then again this is just my opinion.

Good day had 3 very strained highnotes, it's really not a sign of her being a strong vocalist. However I don't think she's weak either, and now she doesn't try to do things that she can't do properly like those highnotes, which is great. She works with what she has and does a great job at it, which is what every soloist should do
To be honest, the way BTS matured throughout the years is amazingly beautiful. The first albums they produced were mostly focused on debunks and controversial statements towards the educational system immensely. Now that they've completed those series, they came out on music supporting more on oneself. Mostly, people want more badass concepts and hip-hop, since BTS initially started as one. Their maturity can be seen through all of their songs, and I'm really proud of what they are putting out. They never keep set on only one concept, even in series albums like LY Tear, Answer and Her are vastly focused on different things. Just because BTS have moved on from dissing someone openly to talking about more deep subjects, they haven't lost their touch at all🤷🏻♀️.
They are discovering more concepts and trying every one of them. From hip-hop to R&B to instrumental, they keep trying to do more. And they do it perfectly each time.
MOTS Persona and 7 are more focused on the artistic type.
I do understand that people don't have the identical musical taste but at this point the 'I like BTS' old song' statement and the 'BTS is overrated' statement is only raised to cause arguments. Y'all need to find something new, this is getting too old and boring.
Well said👏 artist change like their music. And us fans change too. Stanning kpop groups are like relationships. The spark is always there, it just doesn't shine as brightly as you first got into them.

What's more, to those who keep saying they prefer their old sound, they basically mean 2013-2014, because people forget that they've been evolving since 2015 with TMBMIL. That means songs like Blood Sweat and Tears would have never been born if they kept doing the old style.

About bts ‘letting fame get to them,’ I think the thing about fame and having the world watch everything you do, you start to try to do anything to protect yourself and your private life more. Nothing they do is really private anymore and that can really lead to them putting up walls and putting on personas just so they can keep somethings about them private. I mean, taemin from Shinee/superm has talked about how he lies a lot just to protect himself, even if it may not be something he really has to lie about. So it must be like but amplified to the extreme for bts. Especially when any little thing they do that the public may not like could cause a huge scandal. I think when their popularity starts to fade you’ll get to see them start acting like themselves again

They call me Baepsae not huge changes I think. I’d say they’re probably just more cautious. Although I think they actually showed a lot of themselves in the break the silence docu-series. Idk it’s just harder to be yourself when you have the world judging every little thing you do so I think they just started keeping certain things and opinions to themselves which is normal. Most idols create a version of themselves that they show the world and them keep who they really are private. I think hobi was taking about it actually. How he presents himself as someone who’s constantly happy and outgoing but that’s just a heightened version of one side of himself. Leeteuk from super junior is also a good example of this. He’s always the confident, excessively happy host but really he took up so many job opportunities on reality shows to pay off his father’s debts that he left behind after he killed himself and his parents. And leeteuk still only showed the happy side of himself and never really spoke about his personal problems or the depression he had at the time. So yeah I don’t think bts have really changed but they’ve just chosen which parts of themselves they’re comfortable exposing to their fans.

Jin & J-Hope is a prime example for that. Jin never really tells us anything the little he does tell us is stretched out to make it seem like more. J-hope isn’t all hyper as he seems on camera in person the members stated J-Hope himself said he wish he didn’t have to be that way on camera. Both are really introverted but act all extroverted on camera

Mamamoo are not dressing the way they do for clout and I'm pretty sure they made it clear in Hip. Literally not everyone dresses the same because clothing is a form of expressing your personality. It doesn't matter if it sounds cheesy because its true. Thats the beauty of fashion. Mamamoo has been criticized for their fashion because it can be bolder than what people expect but thats who they are as a person. Doesn't matter if its on stage in relation to their music and art or just everyday. They want to dress with what they identify with most no matter if its considered too masculine, showing too much skin, or too extra.Thanks for mentioning that its just fashion btw! ♡ its too bad that some people just dismiss it as wanting clout when they don't really know them.

i feel like positions shouldn’t exist in the first place. i feel like it limits their skills. like someone could have the potential in rapping yet not have the chance to show it bc they don’t have a rapper position.
I agree I think Visuals are important as it can attract more people initially and then they learn about the group but I don't get the point having it as an official position. There's no purpose of it to me.
I dont fully agree with the fact that BTS's music was better before. Every group's style will eventually change, if they were to keep the same style of music it'd get boring. Im actually glad that they're experimenting different styles rather than keeping it the same way. I think its just the person that is not used to the change.
Åesthetic Tåehyung - yeah. For instance, I loved pop music from the mid 2000s to early 2010s. Throughout those years, many artists changed their style of music and some music trends died too. So, pop music now is not my taste. The same goes with BTS. Many people grew up listening to the oldies and prefer that style. Maybe some people prefer BTS style of music now than the oldies. It's all about your taste in music. So no, BTS songs aren't flops, they're just not your cup of tea. We can say BTS songs are flops if we see a decrease in their views and album sells. But the thing is, at least for me, I LOVE everything before Persona, you can't really say it's because they're trying other genres because they've went through so many genres before Persona and yet I loved them all. I don't dislike the boys, I do however dislike the newer music. Also Bighit focuses on Jungkook and Jimin too much (coming from a Jimin and RM stan), the distribution in Dynamite is terrible even though the song is alright.

Thats why they are so "overrated". I can't remember the last artist who openly pushed the idea of loving yourself, not just in songs but even in speeches, heck in an actual album, dedicated to just that! Sometimes I feel like I like BTS's old songs more and sometimes I feel like I like the new ones more. I've also seen a lot of people who prefer the new ones too. Since my tastes keep changing, I've stopped comparing their old and new songs because honestly I love both and I'm really happy about it
they have a song for everyone out there, since they dabble into so many different genre and musical styles. none of their songs are definite skips, imo but i definitely skip some if they don't fit a certain mood, so i feel you!

I didn’t rrly like either, but I could always find at least one song that I liked. For me the rap line came through. Home + UGH! are my fave off of both. And ppl have to stop sleeping on Ego. I might not like the album, but I get ppl who do.
Map of the Soul: Persona wasn’t really my favourite era either. Personally think it sounded like an attempt to drag in a Western audience (WHICH ISN’T BAD). The collaboration they did with Halsey wasn’t that impactful in my opinion, Halsey didn’t really add anything to the song that Jimin hadn’t already done. But don’t get it twisted, Home and Jamais Vu are STILL the superior song, we stan those songs. I think the artistic collaborations stopped after Steve Aoki because Steve Aoki x BTS was just too good. Mic drop, waste it on me and The Truth Untold are all so good, I can’t even express how good they are.

Regardless of how much people don't like it, the amount of fans that era brought is unprecedented. I'm pretty sure its the era that got the kind of radio play we've been begging for because a) it was radio-friendly pop and b) it had the radio queen at the time Halsey on it. Not to mention it had support of Korean General public because you know they like soft easy songs like that (take the queen spring day for example). The album also gave us the last number we needed for 3 number ones, we got on SNL, the album sales were crazy at that time, 3M pre orders! and the most views in 24h. You got to admit compared to this comeback, persona's youtube streams felt a lot more organized, but I completely blame YT for that.
The era may have not the most liked by fans, but it was loved by everyone else ^-^

Tbh I really hate hearing “BTS old music is better” like BTS has been playing around with music to test new tunes and music types for a while now. Like I can almost guaranteed that if their music was the same as it was like 4 years ago everyone would be begging for a change and then complain about it like people did with TWICE’s concepts. If artist have the will to write and produce their own songs (especially bts) they are gonna touch a lot of genres. BTS used to be Hiphop/R&B and they’ve touched every genre out there cause they try to keep the music diverse but still keep the meaning.
To add to that, suga produced years ago beats and they used them in ON. so they basically still have the “old” music xD

Being 7 years in an industry while only being in their teens/young adults while debuting will sure change a person. They got older. Their music changed drastically and some may not like that, but in my opinion, its all about taste. They made a huge concept and genre change indeed, but just as they change their music does too.
They managed to stay stable and humble even after all of this fame. Ofcourse we don't know what goes on behind closed doors and truly dont know how they feel. They've won so many awards, yet stays so thankful each time. But in conclusion, even after how much they changed and grew as artists and as they aged in years, they never seemed to change as amazing people.

As for how bts new songs aren’t as good as their old songs, hear me hear me. It’s a matter of taste in truth. They’ve obviously grown as artist and are at a stage in their career where experimenting with new sounds without hindering their popularity. Everyone’s allowed to have songs they like more and less. And that goes for every artist. But obviously on a broader view considering that their fandom is still one of the most rapidly growing one, their music still doing its thing to please the masses.

I agree, I joined BTS in the early 2017 and I loved them (I still do) but overtime something just doesn’t get me jumping around crazily when they upload a new song. Don’t get me wrong they are still powerful, talented and beautiful it’s just feels different from the old times.
I like that they're trying new things because if you just put out songs that have the same style and are similar to each other your songs are not gonna do good because they're gonna be the same vibe as your other songs and no one is going tune in if it's just gonna be the same stuff over and over. So I like how they are trying out different concepts and styles of music because the songs are doing really good. And you don't want ur fans to be bored.
U know taehyung doesn't always have to smile and be goofy and laughing. He was since his DEBUT till NOW called blanc tae. He was ALWAYSSSSS like this. And I just say this BECAUSe ive been with bts since the beginning. But other people not and immediately think tae has mood swings or smth.

Here's my take on jeno. Yes, he does get love and praise and is able to show off his skills in which cznnnie appreciate. BUT, in our fandom, we tend to focus on focal points of the boys. In jeno's case, everyone looks at him and all they see is his visuals, "jenojam", and sometimes tend to look past his talents. They acknowledge them, but nobody ever really talks about it. The fact that he can rap, sing, and dance and in general is literally an all-rounder and good at everything, is looked over. People see jeno and think of that one boom fancam. So basically what in saying is that even though everyone tends to acknowledge him and his presence, its not common that you'll see someone take their time to appreciate him.

I personally think he really has changed, even the members said he doesn't talk much and has been really quiet these days, even telling him that if he needs anyone to talk too that their there for him. I'm sure some of it has to do with him maturing, but he has no spark anymore, he's just quiet all the time, even on weverse he said he wished he could be happy, so he literally told us he's not in a good place right now. For the past idk year maybe, he's been like this and never seems to genuinely be happy anymore, every time he laughs or smiles it seems forced, just for cameras.

I don't know for the other groups but red velvet were also bashed on their debut too. Fans from sm's senior groups said they were privileged by the company, they don't deserve their fame, they came from a big company so they are privileged in terms of popularity, same as txt. And I think other groups from big 3 have lived same critics in their debut. For txt, they are the first group from bighit after bangtan, so the critics are huge. It's so sad, I really like txt they are so talented and they don't deserve the hate they have. But it's the beginning, they will shine in the future I'm sure about that

Taehyung did say he wanted people to start seeing him as more mature instead of a childish personality. That really has nothing to do with their fame. He even stated how his "Hwarang" brothers seem so much more mature, and so he wanted to be more like them and come off as more mature too. Also to add, the guy lost a lot of people while striving in his career. For some people, it could really take a huge affect, so he could be one of those kind of people too. Their stage performances though, I don't get. Cause their performances just get better and better. They always performed big, and use up the whole stage, so I don't really understand what that claim is aiming for.

And it's still happening with older groups to this day.. I can kinda understand why because it's true certain groups *have* more exposure than groups from less known companies but I hate it when people make it seem as if groups from bigger companies are automatically successful (it's not that simple) and didn't work hard to get where they are. They still have their individual struggles and meeting up to the standards of so many people is one of them. EXO actually 'failed' to do this at first and were known as SM's biggest flops because of that.
Anyway, txt doesn't deserve this and I really hope people will be able to acknowledge them for who they are soon and won't just see them as a group that's only successful because they're from the same company as BTS. They are still humble, kind, and caring people who want to give inspiration and comfort to those going through tough times. We can't expect people to be the exact same as they were 6 years ago because people change as they grow up. All Rosy Jen said was that they hated how Koya Swerve had to be careful when stating his opinion about BTS because there is a high likelihood that he would be hated on for saying something that irked ARMYs. I can't see anything implying that Rosy Jen doesn't like BTS.
