came here to say this. could also be he has one but is backed way too far off of it. no shame in having the mic visible on video if it means we get to hear more than 60% of the words being spoken.
IGN is one of the biggest videogame websites on the internet, if not the biggest-- why can't their podcasts get decent microphones for all it's participants?
What's going on with this podcast quality. There's always an audio issue. On this one, it's mic audio cutting from one side, and at the same time, kid's screaming from the other side.
I'm surprised there is confusion about Concorde. It didn't underperform; it CATASTROPHICALLY underperformed. When your peak userbase is less than 700 players in launch week, there is no path to success. Server support will be a loss and within a month there won't be enough players for matchmaking. It was literally dead on arrival and there's no way to save it.
To pull the plug this quickly they must've been considering canceling altogether but maybe wanted to just see if it accidentally hit first. My guess is that whatever convinced them to cancel Last of Us Factions must've carried over to the other games as a service games they're making right now as "not it" and want to get these developers off of this stuff and onto the stuff that Sony is known for.
It's so interesting that everyone liked Star wars and it is optimistily conflicted. But the opposite is true on starfield. They probably are influenced by each other.
Ladder.. amongst other things like holding a weapon and not being able to move to high ground with it. Etc. Allll of it can be explained with the fact that this is just the Assassin's Creed with a Star Wars paint. I'm sure the AC engine (which isn't just for graphics) was used to build this game. So if you can't go up ladders while keeping the new weapon you just picked up on AC, most likely won't you be able to here.
despite all of the yapping, the only thing that matters came from the guy who said this is pretty much the open acknowledgement that consumers do not like gaas multiplayer games. how many more hundred million dollar bombs have to happen until the industry understands this? hopefully this finally scares away venture capitalist ghouls and shareholder vampires who dont actually care about games and they leave the space.
Part of marketing is getting to know your competition. It's like Concord deliberately disregarded any of the competitors on purpose. It also appears as if they didn't conduct any polls or surveys either because it seems like they're just now becoming aware of all the negative publicity it's getting.. It's almost like they've been working inside a bubble all this time or something. The outcome of this game is just unreal. The game has some aspects on point, but not the main ones that really matter like the general appeal.
No, it’s not a tax write off. If the game were never released, they could write it off on their taxes, but since the game was released, they cannot write it off on their taxes. They tried to go out there and score points. It failed. They have to actually take the loss.
We are in an age where one person can make a game that's a masterpiece, and huge triple-A titles with massive budgets flop at launch. Death by committee.
That’s not deaf by committee no committee voted that this game should fail. It’s deaf by consumer. The consumer didn’t go out and consume your product. It’s not like you can just keep selling it and say buy it anyway. If people don’t want it, you’re not going to sell it and you lose money. Back to the drawing board.
Launching a hero shooter with a $40 price tag with terrible skins and alright gameplay was what tanked it. I'd at least wait for Marvel Rivals to come out before assuming anything about the desire for the gaas market.
9:28 Unless Phil Spencer was lying about Redfall, it is possible that these big companies with all their research and data can still get incorrect or misleading data
Please get Sam a new microphone
Be nice if his employer of many years could provide him with one so we could hear him during his weekly show.
Please don't get greedy with your outlandish requests, it's just the biggest gaming network on the planet after all
He’s new to podcasting.
came here to say this.
could also be he has one but is backed way too far off of it. no shame in having the mic visible on video if it means we get to hear more than 60% of the words being spoken.
Lower your standards. Very low on the lowest key
IGN is one of the biggest videogame websites on the internet, if not the biggest-- why can't their podcasts get decent microphones for all it's participants?
Goose camp isn't ign priority. It should be seeing it's a flagship show with some off the most knowledgeable people in gaming.
And not have children screaming in the background
1:07:55 love hearing the kids fight in the background 😂
Justin raging inside his head. 😂
Dang Sam's audio is cutting out a ton this episode
It’s weird because the rest of the panel can clearly hear what he’s saying…
yeea sounds like he has an Audio Gate on his mic that wont let sound go out if it's too quite.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN PLEASE STOP LEAVING US
Pro tip if your kids are screaming, temporarily mute your mic.
Seriously was that Justin's girls screaming??
That was annoying asf lol
Welcome back, Fridays aren't the same without Gamescoop!
Here is request number 564 for Sam to either buy/or be given by IGN a new mic that's doesn't make him sound like he's podcasting from 2009. Thanks 👍
The kids screaming in the background haha
Man, Nick's knowledge of older games is incredible, considering he was probably born in 92 or 93.
He must have a time machine.
Nick is the GOAT
Well done with the title "Plight of the Concord" lol, S tier episode title. Whoever came up with that wins bonus points
My body is ready...for more SCOOP! Welcome back, gentlemen.
Oh yes!!! 1hr 20 min episode. Let’s goooooooo
Get Sam a mic…please!
Well done on the title. 👍🏻
I tried - Daemon
@@IGNGamesAnd succeeded!
This is one of the best podcast name episodes ever.
Would have loved it Justin got up and screamed in his kids faces to stop then Sat down like nothing happened
My official favorite 4 Omega Cops. 🇺🇸
These guys are the most beautiful podcasters (on this podcast)
The episode title is hilarious, well done.😂
Sam’s voice keeps voluming down that it’s hard to understand him at times… :-/
Kinda surprised about the high praise for outlaws. Kinda Funny really tore into it, and most people think it'd ok
More like Plight of the Audio Issues! Sam still needs a microphone and Justin needs to tell his quiet while I'm podcasting/working!
Concords cancelation is more publicity than it ever had
"People have turned against Helldivers" - ummm what???
What's going on with this podcast quality. There's always an audio issue. On this one, it's mic audio cutting from one side, and at the same time, kid's screaming from the other side.
Super excited for the Castlevania collection for sure.
Not surprised they’re dancing around the white elephant in the room about why Concord actually failed.
I’ve been waiting all week for Scoop to talk about Concord.
The answer to Sam's ladder rant about why would you want to go slow on a ladder is Stellar Blade
Thanks for using the word “kerfuffle” it’s on my list of favorite words.
Love to see the main crew back at it; mark is always cool too though.
Love the podcast but come on, every single week someone has audio issues
We missed you guys.
Justin's kids going off in the background 😂😂 1000% relatable!
Daemon have you seen the movie Longlegs and if so what did yo think
If it's not a gore fest he's not interested, the same reason he plays RE but not Silent Hill 😂😂😂
people didn't "turn on helldivers" it turned on them from discord mods to PSN debacle, nerfing and other things has killed its interests
Ok cowboy
It’s Concordin’ Time!!!
Worth missing a week for this amazing title.
Plight of the Concord is WILD
So happy that scoop is back!!! 🔥
Concord didn’t have any design flaws?…
Sam comparing the stealth in this to MGSV is completely insane lol. The stealth is no where near that level.
Scoop there it is!
The crew is back!
Ign continuing to ignore the elephant in the room but that's why we watch other youtubers
What’s the elephant in the room?
Elephant? We?
That was a great swerve from Daemon, Balatro is peak
SCOOP IS BACK! GLORIOUS FRIDAY!
Back with the pun, Plight of the Concord, fantastic!!
Great Stuff as always!
Knaye once said. SCoop. Scoopidy scoop

Gamescoop is back baby!
Castlevania collection is great, classics!!!!!!
To pull the plug this quickly they must've been considering canceling altogether but maybe wanted to just see if it accidentally hit first.

If they wanted to see if it hit they should have released as free to play, launching at $40 was a death sentence.
@@T.R.A.N.C.E wanted it to hit =/= see if it hits
Balatro has to be Daemon's GOTY. He would have bought it 4 times!
If you say there's going to be a twist, you've already spoiled it
It's business. It's business time! 🎵
It's so interesting that everyone liked Star wars and it is optimistily conflicted. But the opposite is true on starfield. They probably are influenced by each other.
Great show as always fellas, hopefully a regular weekly cadence for a bit 🙏
Why is Damen so shocked...they literally had 600 players at max(on steam) when it was FREE. Charging $40 for it would bring more players?
Astro Bot looks a _lot_ like Super Mario Galaxy. Also, isn't the little Astro Bot guy just a robot Sackboy?
Concord isn’t coming back. Sony is not spending another dime on a game with almost no chance of rebounding.
Everyone said the game would fail after the open beta... its not that "unbelievable"
It’s business time!
I'm glad to hear the Outlaw's and Playroom are both enjoyable
Sam! Get a new microphone 😅
My dream is sam and Justin in a room having to beat a souls game to leave on camera.....i hate this game!!!
Blastoise could be the 5th Ninja Turtle
you guys are recommending Star Wars Outlaws like a really heavy book
Shout out to my home town of Roseville as well!
You're back. Was getting worried ign canceled you guys
Concord will go down in history as one of the biggest game failures. Throughout all consoles

IGN Games, amazing video
SCOOP !
Degree’d 🎉

You'd be incredibly surprised the amount of leeway and exclusive help big corporations have over the common person in that regard...
amazing titleeeee 😂
I’m back in the U.S.S.A. 🎶
BESTIARY NOT BEASTIARY 🤦🏾♂️
Not sure Astro Bot can win over Black Myth Wukong for GOTY?
We are in an age where one person can make a game that's a masterpiece, and huge triple-A titles with massive budgets flop at launch. Death by committee.
Death by Blackrock ESG

The genre combo questions cast too wide a net. Should only be permitted if there is a common thread between the genres.
Justin this game is nothing like overwatch concord is an arena shooter it has more in common with halo or destiny multiplayer than overwatch
6:20
Anthem isn't dead yet. It is just not getting regular updates
What about firewalk they botched it
SW outlaws is a 6/10 at best, and yes, SW in general is not at the best spot (yes, Woke garbage and so, convince me otherwise)
Launching a hero shooter with a $40 price tag with terrible skins and alright gameplay was what tanked it. I'd at least wait for Marvel Rivals to come out before assuming anything about the desire for the gaas market.
Justin discipline those kids! 1:07:56 😂😂😂
Algorithm scoop comment 💪
concord should have been a single player FPS
9:28
Unless Phil Spencer was lying about Redfall, it is possible that these big companies with all their research and data can still get incorrect or misleading data
Daemon is correct Monster Train is superior to Slay the Spire.
Every time the scoop crew asks about genre in 20 questions, part of me dies inside. Please no more!
Great episode!
Other than Mark, Nick has the most sensible takes on this show
It's Da emon by far, everyone else on the show has many bad takes/ taste
