Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 playthrough (Dreamcast) (1CC)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 жов 2024
- Playthrough with Ken, Sentinel and Captain Commando. MvC 2 was the first game in the series not to use the CPS hardware, instead, it uses Naomi. Without the CPS memory restrictions to hold them back, Capcom were able to include just about every character from the previous games in the series, along with adding several new characters (such as Cable and Son-Son) and some extra characters taken from other Capcom games (eg Guile and Anakaris).
Matches are now 3 against 3 rather than 2 against 2, and the controls have been changed so there are four attack buttons and two assist buttons -the assist buttons have one of your other characters come on and perform an attack or technique, and each character has a choice of 3 assist moves you can choose from at the character select screen.
New game features include "snap backs", which let you force your opponent off the screen for a brief amount of time at the cost of a hyper combo guage. Delayed hyper combos let you call each member of your team on, one at a time, to perform a long hyper combo consisting of moves from each of your characters.
The Dreamcast version of the game is still seen as the best one. This is a playthrough of the Japanese version, not that it really matters as there are no win quotes and there is only one ending, which doesn't have any text in it.
This game had 56 playable charecters.... I miss the days when DLC didnt exist
Name Noname *sigh* don't we all. well the older generation.
I'm guilty.
*Name Noname sigh don't we all. well the older generation.*
^Basically this! Agreed fellas.
then 2006 came
DLC's fine so long as it's not exploitative. There's nothing wrong with a game being expanded upon, especially compared to the old days when you'd have to buy a full-priced game you already own to get the updated content (Street Fighter 2). Thing is that DLC should be used to extend the life of a game years after release, not used as a way to charge more money for the privilege of a game being released a month or two early for the sake of having fewer starting characters.
A perfect port. 1999-2000 that brief time Dreamcast had everything going for it. Only the controller was bad.
Shame the Dreamcast's controller was such a mess, because the console itself had some great games for it. Just be sure to bring the noise-cancelling headphones so you can hear the game over the hum of the console. lol
The music is what made Street Fighter Alpha the early Marvel v Capcom games and Street Fighter 3 so great
Can't wait to try this out for the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection when it comes out.
Man they had some legit character choices.👍 I'm seeing people that aren't on MvC3.
I wanna take you for a riiiide
hurricanewinzz lmaoo
WB games should bring back DC vs MK back but with better characters choices.
Oh man, I almost had a heart attack there!
Oh Ruby Heart kinda looks like my boss.
Your boss is a French babe?
This is such a GREAT GAME yo!! Jesus Christ.
Memories 😢
I prefer this one than the one for the XBOX 360
Great game, great video. Thanks for this.
Dude where the F is my Dreamcast
Finally got it for my Xbox
Shoot. You better go buy a brand new one.
this game is like street fighter
made by the same company, capcom
Dillon Mui loool
Excellent answer kid. (LAUGHING)
*the game is like xmen vs street fighter 2
Captain obvious
I'm glad I have 2 copies of this game on the Dreamcast One that I use and it's in awesome condition and the other one new and sealed😉
I miss those days when you can really buy a game and own it.
@@ryukshinigami5106 Shit bro you still can!!
Crazy to think it would be cheaper to import the Japanese version along with the fan disc to unlock all characters, than to buy the US version.
I would avoid the Xbox 360/PS3 versions of Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2 because Capcom's contract deal with Marvel expired, therefore meaning that MvC 1 and 2 are no longer available in XBLA Marketplace and PlayStation Store for purchase and download. My advice to you MvC 1 and 2 fans out there is stick with the Dreamcast versions of Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2. And by the way, the Dreamcast versions of MvC 1 and 2 have Network Battle which means you can play online, but I don't know if the online servers still work or not. If the online servers do not work to this day, then invite your friends over for some offline multiplayer fun.
I got the ps2 version which is good too, I heard the dreamcast version of mvc2 is hella expensive. You tell me, though.
@@mrseq5011 both Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 versions are expensive. I have the PlayStation 2 version. I know the Dreamcast version is the best but I can't with that controller. Playstation controller is better for fighting games.
@@TheHistorianKingI haven’t gotten it but I’ve heard the official Dreamcast fight stick is good
@@admiralAlfonso9001 Yeah the Dreamcast arcade stick is great for fighting games, just not the standard controller.
Way better than the overrated ps2 port.
The PS2 port is considered by many to be inferior to the Dreamcast port.
Why do people love this game so much? I'm not saying that it's bad, but this game was a big deal back then. But people look back at this and it's a fighting game masterpiece. This game was also on Xbox Live and Playstation Network. It's delisted from both services apparently, and it comes as no surprise because Capcom lost their Marvel license and pretty much delisted this game before I even had a chance! That sucks!
+Aaron Velez true i agree ppl actually complained about it when it first came out. complaining about it having 2 kicks and punches lol. i remember. now ppl are just now liking mvc3. its like sf3 series. ppl clowned it back then , now 3rd strike is popular as sf2. although i hate 3strike. i prefer the 1st sf3 and 2nd impact
The game is great!!!!! Clearly side by side with Soul Calibur as the two best fighters of the time. If only it had online play on the dreamcast.
It's mostly the roster tbh. And seriously, that many characters in a game released in the literal turn of the new millennium was practically unheard of.
que tiempos aquellos de el dreamcast
JOEY ALBERT
I love playing as the Hulk,Ruby Heart or Boobie Heart and Morrigan the Bat Girl. I like being a big green macho man with 2 hot chicks.
I never updated my iphone 5s just to play this game. Lol. MvsC2 has the biggest roster of playable characters to this day. I don’t know why the makers are too cheap to add more characters in the capcom vs marvel games on Ps4 and newer consoles.
What's the best team/strategy against Abyss? When he becomes the big red thing he knocks me out in less than no time.
Just started playing this can someone tell me how you switch characters on Dreamcast lol I know stupid question
I know your comment is literally one year ago and you probably found out by now (at least I'd hope) but you switched characters by pressing two buttons that were adjacent to each other.... I think. I haven't played the game in like 15+ years.
I cant do the triple combos, like super move, x3??? Anyone know the controls for it??
both assist buttons at the same time, i think it’s like L and R
Does the setinel Flip you off when hes attacking while mid air
So a question for anyone who played MvC2 on real hardware. Does anyone have trouble playing on the daytime version of the desert stage? Whenever I play on it, it crashes the game.
I don’t have this game but it sounds like an issue with a scratched disc, because of how Dreamcast discs are more tightly packed than an average cd-rom disc scratches tend to do more damage to the game
@@admiralAlfonso9001 Its actually a burned disc. I was wondering if it was a problem with others too, but it might just be exclusive to me
MARVEL VS CAPCOM TWOOOOOO
+Rage Quitter 87 How did you unlock all the characters in the Japanese Version?
I own the Capcom fan disc, thankfully. From what I've gathered it's much harder to unlock characters in the Japanese version when compared to the US and European verisons. I did unlock all of the character legit in the Euro version back in the day.
+Rage Quitter 87 Yeah, the problem I have in the japanese dreamcast version is that; to unlock certain characters you need Network Points that you only got while playing online. Which means that I'm pretty much screwed on that regard. Now the European version; is there any chance you might remember how similar it was to unlock the characters in that version compared to the American one?
I think the American and Euro versions are the same: keep beating arcade mode to get the most amount of points. If you're willing you can leave the game on training mode overnight, then quit and that gets you points as well, but I don't think it gets you that many.
It was over 10 years a go since we did it. My and my brother played this game a lot, I think by the time we'd unlocked everything we'd played it for more than 50 hours in total.
I doubt this will help you, but with the Japanese version, I believe you could plug your VMU memory card into the actual arcade unit and that will also get you points when you play it in the arcade?
a mi si me gusta
better than ps2 version? I have both.
dreamcast is the actual arcade hardware. playstation is a port. big difference there.
@@Video-Games-Are-Fun well I don't see a big difference at all. At least when it comes to gameplay. The screens also look the same as the PS2 version, I own it and had a good time, yeah well sucks to need to unlock all characters but at least the controller was better imho :P
@@mrseq5011 Dreamcast port is arcade perfect. The PS2 port is trash in comparison.
guys how do I unlock all characters
dlc? or beating the arcade mode?
TheScrubMaster64 lol if u buy the m v c off ps store all the characters are there lol or by the ps2 version come on people lol
Que buena intro 👍
how come the speed goes fast when the building collapes? i was on the ps2 but the stage collapes slowly idk why 18:32
PlayStation 2 framerate was bad (not awful though). The Dreamcast was the best version according to sources because the framerate was like arcade perfect. I have the PlayStation 2 version but it's not much of a difference to me at least from Dreamcast.
@@TheHistorianKing ps3 and Xbox 360 has a fast speed in marvel vs capcom 2 when the building collapsed
@@swager6402 Yup but they're no longer on XBOX live or psn.
@@TheHistorianKing I want them to remaster marvel vs capcom 2 on PS4 or PS5 or PC
Does anyone what narrator says after selecting your characters?
"Select your assist type." "Cool decision." "The chronicles of battle will now unfold. This is Marvel vs Capcom 2."
For Player 2, after picking the assist type…
“That’s what I expected.”
GAMER9PODEROSO🕹🎮: JUEGO TAN BACANO NO JODA
how to unlock all the characters ???
+ArcherMV Master By beating the game in the arcade mode/score attack you earn points. This points can be used to spent on the "SECRET FACTOR" in main menu, where you can buy new characters, colors and stages....

SIR HOW TO UNLOCKED ALL HIDDEN CHARACTER PLEASE HELP
You have to buy them all in the shop. Keep playing the game over and over to unlock points, you will have to play it a lot to unlock everyone
wow this game has awful music
scir 91lol your gaming pass is provoked lol
(Laughing)
its cool because you would expect the music to be aggressive but no... its jazzy. I love Jazz music and fighting combined
You either love it or hate it. I personally can’t stand it.
