I'm a 67 year old female & changed mine after watching your video. Took me 10 minutes & I used a index card to keep the bolt from dropping. Worked like a charm. Thank You😊
Great demo. Thanks! I found a better, surefire way to make sure you don't lose that bolt when removing or replacing it: hold an index card or some other piece of paper inside the hole. That way if you drop the bolt, it will slide down the card and land on the ground outside the door. No extra tools necessary.
So far my son’s 2010 Sonata has broken 3 door handles. That handle is very weak, but thanks to people like you I can replace them with a nice new handle fully painted. Thank you so much!
Today is the SECOND time I've used this video... both rear Sonata door handles broke. This video is great, & was a great help. THANK YOU! Thanks also for the quick tip re: the rear doors in the comments... worked well too!
Thanks. Dealer wanted to "diagnose it" first ($110 first hour of labor). Ordered chrome one on Amazon for $14 and painted the insert to match my other handles. Your video made it a snap. (I added a curved cutout from a water bottle just in case to catch the screw if the magnet dropped it.) YOU saved me a hundreds of dollars!
Hello MTTech. I just used your walkthrough to change both back door handles on my 09 Hyundai Sonata. Wanted to thank you for the help and also mention that when removing the 8mm bolt (At least in the back doors since they don't have manual key locks) you only need to loosen it half way to replace the handles. Once it is loose enough to remove the outer shell, you can install the handles with ease and not have to worry about the 8mm bolt falling to the ground. Just thought that might help you in your future handle replacements! Thanks for the informative video!!!!
Thank you Clinton, I have to replace door handle rear drivers passenger side for comment on not removing bolt completely! Now I have to find paint. Not sure where I go to find that MT Tech said I could get base and gloss instead from dealer. Any ideals?
What is the name of the tool to remove the bolt? (Not the magnetic pickup tool...) I successfully replaced the front door handle using a neighbor's tool but need a longer version of that same tool to replace the handle in the back
Fernando Alvarez Hey, glad I could help. Taking off the inner door panel is a pain in the butt I tell ya. Glad this car doesn't require the panel to be removed, unless you drop the bolt inside. Don't drop the bolt! I warned ya. Good luck!
I am a mom of two mechanic boys in my family and they said I wouldn't be able to fix my door handle on my sonata. Well I did it. Great video! Thank you.
You are a time saver man!! Great video, I was getting ready to head home from the grocery store when I noticed my door handle sticking out. Don't know if someone tried getting into my car cause the alarm wasn't going off or if this is just a common problem with this hyundai door handle, but this video is really going to save me a ton of time. Wasn't sure if I would have had to take the whole interior panel of the door off or not, but this is such an easy fix!! Thanks brother!!
My Door handle just broke a few hours ago and went on youtube to look at a few videos. Honestly, this is the best video, you even showed me the part number to order which i did as i paused your video and ordered on amazon. Finished watching and wanted to say thanks. I am just waiting for the part in the mail and will replay as a reminder. Again, thanks a lot. Saved me few hundred bucks for sure. Cheers!
Glad I could help! Looking forward to how your repair goes. Good luck! **remember to be very careful removing the small bolt/screw and not dropping it inside the door.
+MTTech It will be a few weeks before i get the handle. I bought a magnetic pickup tool similar to the one you have in your video. Many thanks, believe it will go smooth thanks to you!
Thank you so much for this video. My door handle broke off in the big ice storm we had last week in Oregon. I was able to repair myself with your perfect instruction. Blessings!!
Thank you for the video, it took me 5 minutes to replace, used a toilet paper cardboard cylinder to protect against dropping the bolt, worked like a charm. Purchased set of 4 on eBay for $20, assume will need to replace them all. And the black color replacement is very close to dark blue color of car so no paint needed. Thanks!!!
I haven't replaced my door handle yet, but I can't wait to comment on your video. Your instructions are clear and helpful, and I'm confident I can do this myself. My mechanic wanted $300.00 to replace a door handle and a gas strut under the hood. Time for a new mechanic!
Thank you so much. Replaced my daughters 2007 Sonata's door handle on my lunch break! Some nice person ripped it off in her college parking lot. Only cost 10.00 got the part from amazon . Used touch up paint. Not the best paint job but matches better then black. Shes back in action!
Great video, very helpful, changed 2 handles myself in about 15 minutes. I used a MAGNETIC 8mm nut-driver. No fear of losing the bolt. Thanks for your help!
Many thanks to you man!!! I did this job in literally 5 minutes. I was so proud of myself lol. Avoided the $150+ the car shop was gonna charge. Car shop: “yeah we’ll have to take the entire door panel off and that.” Jokers.
Excellent video! Thanks for taking the time to produce it. You saved me a lot of money as I was able to locate the touch-up paint in a 12 oz. can to finish this project as well as paint a replacement driver's side mirror. The body shop wanted $350 to do the work. All parts and paint cost me less than $100 and it was very satisfying to repair my own vehicle.
Perfect instructions, I dedided to do to Home Depot and bought an extended magnetic wand. The tip was a little larger than your version. So got it loose , then used the magnetic tip to unscrew rest of the way while slightly pulling . Came right out! Uses the reverse to put it back in. Thanks for the video. (2006 Black Sonata, so perfect color on replacement) I also replaced the interior handle last year same door.
I would have never figured out how the Kia Spectra 2006 handle gets attached to the reinforcement plate I kept trying to get the handle on by clipping in the long end and that was my mistake. NOW I GOT IT in the RIGHT WAY... THANK you for being the only one video out of about 20 I watched, showing the right way to install exterior handle.. KIA SPECTRA has a similar handle design and it is the same way to install as shown in the video!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
I just fixed my door handle after watching this video. Thanks. I would like to add that I needed a T30 Torx bit to remove the screw that holds the locking cylinder.
your video actually gave me an idea of how to replace Sonata 2011 actuator and I did it!!! I couldn't remove the inner panel after the door panel removed. Thanks so much!!
Ah yes, I scratched my head the first time I took the door panel off this car in the video to figure out why the window wouldn't go down when pressing the button on the inside, I couldn't figure out how to remove the window regulator even with all the bolts removed. I just removed the window motor, turned the regulator by hand tested the motor, and put it all back together and surprisingly it worked for awhile, but you could tell the motor was struggling to move the regulator. Then came the day where I took off this door handle and dropped the stupid bolt inside the door. I wanted to retrieve this bolt, and found out the hard way that the tiny little bolt was preventing me from removing the window regulator the first time around. Well, I'm glad you found my video helpful in helping you solve your issue. The lock actuator on my 07 Azera doesn't work, and its on my list of things to fix.
Great video, all the basic info at beginning of video saved a lot of time, just broke the handle of my 2009 Hyundai elantra. Your video saved me time and money since I use my car for work.
Wow I did not know it was this easy. It’s the same set up on a 2006-09 Hyundai Azera, my handles have a chrome strip in the middle so painting took a bit longer, very sweet
Thanks, was able to do this in 5 minutes. Mainly because the old handle came of completely, so all I had to do was remove the lock thing and replace, put back and screw back and I used a magnetic socket. Saved me at least $50
Thanks a lot!!! It is so simple and well explained that although I do not speak English I could understand perfectly and it came out perfect. really a million thanks. and the man who repairs cars was charging me 150 dollars for that.
This is a fairly easy job if you take your time. I guess I got lucky because I put a strong magnet inside my socket but the screw stayed in the white plastic like it was captive. I then carefully removed back piece, slid in the new $11 handle (my part came glossy black so no need to paint), carefully put back piece back on with socket over bolt and tightened. Took maybe 15 minutes once I dug out the right tools. Oh yeah, my handle replacement was on a rear door and the dust cap is facing inside the car but it looks exactly like the one on the front door. If you don't want to scratch the paint use a plastic pry tool, Harbor Freight and other places have them cheap. Good luck and thanks MTTech.
MTTech: Thanks so much for video! I pulled handle on Sonada in a hurry and it broke. I originally bought. I already got handle, just need to get paint, and especially magnetic pick puller. Nice job on capture video for your showing!
Very simple! I wonder: my BF's driver side handle on his Azera appears to have broken off at the base where the gasket is closer to the lock mechanism, as opposed to at the inner latch part as it did in your video. So likely, instead of just the little bit at the end having been removed from the broken handle, the entire plastic arm from the gasket inward is still inside his door. Do you think the inner part of the handle could be removed easily with pliers through this method or does the entire door interior have to be removed in this case?
Thank You! Worked just as you said it would - very easy. My local NAPA does custom paint mixing and can match almost any car paint. Was about $25.00 for an aerosol can. Thanks again, nice job.
Very helpful video. Suggestion: Put a small piece of masking tape over the screw head. That will make the screw a tight fit in an 8mm socket, so it will hold the screw in the socket as you remove it and put it back in place. No need for the magnetic pickup. Hyundai part is available on Amazon for $11.
Hello again MTTech. I just found the part! (I should have looked a bit closer before bothering you. Thanks again for teaching me how to do this. You have a new subscriber.
Great tutorial. I'll be doing this on a Kia Sorento but looking at it, they appear to be quite similar. Great step by step way on how to do it with great explanations. Thank you.
Great footage. 👍 I have to do this for my girlfriend's daughter's 07 sonata & you provided the best detailed explanation compared to the other videos I've reviewed. Thanks for sharing!!
Very good video. I found new handle for $10 from China, made of ABS. Parts stores want $50, and say each one is a different part number! Hyundai wants much more. So I can replace all 3 on friends Hyundai for $30. Good deal!
we found new OEM parts on Amazon for $15 each. just replaced both back handles with the package (ordered Thursday, arrived Sunday on MOthers day) My wife is very happy (Next weekend I will remove them and paint them but at least she can open the doors this week with our 2 small kids)!
Bill Miller ,that's exactly what I did. Ordered the part on Amazon on Sunday and got the part on Tuesday, I wanted to get next day delivery but it was $ 22 more . So I got a free trial and it worked out fine. Total was $13. have a great day.
Clint Blatchford No. Parts come unpainted. The handle comes in a solid black color. it doesn't have the metallic sparkles that would be on some cars that are painted black.
Thank you for the excellent how to video. I am confident I can do this (with the right tools:). I have a 2006 Azera limited and the handles have a "chrome" accent. Any idea as to how to find the replacement with "chrome"? Thanks again.
Hello MTTech! Thanks for the great video. I plan to go ahead and replace my door handle with confidence now! Quick question though I have both the matching basecoat and clear from automotive touchup, however I do not have a primer with me. I've read several accounts of where paint coated on plastic with only basecoat and clearcoat tends to develop cracks or peel in a few months. Is this correct? Was hoping for a few pointers. Thanks again.
The door handle that was replaced in this video to this day is still working well with no issues of paint peeling or cracking. You could scuff up the black unpainted door handle so the paint still stick better. But it's your call. Just telling you my own experience and that the door handle I replaced is still fine. In fact, I replaced the rear handle the same way a year ago. Went straight to paint and then clear coat. No issues yet.
I am told my 2008 Kia Sorento uses a 10 mm bolt. This video says it was an 8mm on this car. Either way, if you do happen to lose or drop it and don't feel like messing with the door panel, the bolts are easy to get
thanks for the video. i saw that you also got the clear coat spray, is it necessary that i order both sprays or i can just order the base coat only and it will turn out fine?
Technically speaking, yes. If you only use the base coat paint, the handle will have a "matte" smooth finish. It will be easier for this paint to chip/peel off while driving with road debris hitting the paint and witch changing temperatures. The clear coat is there to not only protect the base coat, but also give the handle a nice smooth glossy finish that matches the rest of the car. You could also leave the handle with its black unpainted look as well if you don't mind it.
You make this look so easy! My door handle actually broke off so I can’t do that pulling/pushing method. What do you suggest? I’m afraid to open up the door panel. Thanks in advance!
@@martinagarcia8256 I see. You don't need to retrieve that broken piece, because the new handle will just slip into place. The only reason you'd want to retrieve the piece is to obtain the small clear plastic piece if the new handle didnt come with it.
Yes it will be a problem, as inside the door a latch rides along the clear plastic piece, without it your handle will break sooner than with the plastic piece. I suggest you either contact the seller that sold you the handles or reuse the old plastic piece from the old handle if you have it.
Thank you - just had to use this video to fix my 06 Sonata and was a 2 min fix thanks to this video - scariest part is that little bolt and scared that I would lose it in the door
This video was great! I had a quick question for you. Does the screw on the inside need to be removed if the old handle is already off and the door doesn't have a lock component? I'm trying to put a new handle on my passenger door so no lock!
Yes, If the old handle is already off, you'll still need to take off the other piece by removing the screw inside the door. The handle needs to slide in, so it needs the extra space to slide and snap into place. Hope this helps.
+Cecilia Ajmani Thanks! The steps are the same for the rear door. The only difference is that the Black rubber/plastic cover is on the side of the door that faces the inside of the car. Its next to the inner door panel.
This is also the question I had. This is the best DIY video out there. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. I also appreciate that you gave us the part number as well as to match up and get the touch up paint. I subscribed to your channel...
+Jim Duffy Hi Jim! It's my pleasure to share this easy fix with people like you. A good DIY video is detailed and easy to follow. Good luck with your repairs! I really appreciate your feedback.
My problem is not getting the handle back on the car, but figuring out what I need to do to replace the lock portion that is missing. Any ideas? Plus, with a new lock I guess it has to be configured so my key fits it, no?
My 2008 kia sorento front passenger side handle just broke. So this replace procedure really does look like plug and play. Do your automatic door locks and key turn all work properly now?
Thanks for making this video. Quick question about the paint. Did you sand the plastic door handle before painting? The surface is very hard plastic and I am wondering if it will hold the paint unless I sand it a little
+Bill Whittaker No, I did not sand the handle. I just sprayed 3-4 coats of paint. Waiting 15-20mins in between coats. Then 3-4 coats of clear coat waiting 15-20mins in between. So far, the paint hasn't peeled. Although sanding is a common thing to do. It wouldn't be a bad idea to sand the handle prior to painting. Something I didn't think about when I started painting. Therefore, I'd recommend sanding before painting just to be safe.
Great.. I am going to do that tomorrow. Because the dealer wanted >$125.00 to repair each handle (plus $50.00 to paint it) I have 3 door handles to do. Thanks to your video I will have a car with 4 door handles again tomorrow! Thanks !
Oh and the auto touch up paint you used is fantastic stuff. I did a test chip on paper and the color is spot on to the car. Not sure how they match a car that close when it is 6 years old but they did
+Nicholas J. Rapanotti Yeah, the is a pretty easy part replacement. The hard part was painting the new door handle, and not dropping the little screw/bolt.
You can get replacements from Hyundai, although they'll likely have to order the screw/bolt. You could also go to a hardware store that sells metric bolts/screws. Bring the lock cylinder with you and have an employee help you find a metric screw/bolt that fits.
Hi I have a hyundai accent 2006 hatchback and i need to replace a broken outer front door handle but my car doesn't have the hole to access the inside bolt as the Sonata does. Do I have to remove the whole inner door trim to replace the outer handle or is there an easier way? Cheers
You are correct, you would have to take off the whole inner door panel, along with other parts on the inside of the door in order to reach the outer door handle from the inside. Unfortunately, that is all I know as I don't have a 2006 Accent to give any specific details.
You'll need one 12oz aerosol spray can and 12oz aerosol clear coat. The 1/2oz and 2oz bottle is literally paint with a nailpolish like brush inside. Which I wouldn't recommend for painting an entire door handle. These are for touching up rock chips and scratches in the paint of the car.
Awesome video great walkthrough I will let you know how it goes. I am worried about the installation losing the magnet, but I will figure it out! Thank you for an awesome video.
You're welcome. You can actually use the socket to loosen the bolt, then hold the socket in its place so the bolt doesn't move, use your other hand to pull out the lock cylinder. You can then use one hand to remove and install the new handle. After, put in the lock cylinder with one hand then with your other hand holding the socket, tighten the bolt a bit so it won't fall then tighten it all the way. Its a balancing act, but that'll prevent the bolt from falling.
I just used this walk through. Wish they would sell prepainted handles. The rear doors are a bit different and a bit more difficult to see, but the same basic principles are present.
Yeah, it would be easier for us if they had prepainted handles, but it would cost more considering they'd have to cover all colors between 2006-2010 as well as the Kia models that use the same handle.
What were the results of the window motor issue mentioned in the video? My window motor went but when it gets super cold out it will work fine! So weird.
Shayla Moffitt the motor itself worked fine. The motor turns a gear which turns a pulley like system inside the door to move the window up and down. The problem was lack of grease on the pulleys and cable wire. I ended up greasing it with white lithium grease. Ever since then the window has always moved fine, although you can tell it's struggling compared to the other windows.
I need to replace the driver door which has a locking mechanism, and the rear door which does not. Is the part exactly the same and does it have a locking mechanism?
I will need you to clarify what you're referring to. It sounds like you are talking about the door lock cylinder? (hole used to put your key in to unlock the driver's door) Are you trying to replace the door handle on the rear door which does not have a lock cylinder? or, are you referring to something else?
I am replacing both front and rear handles on the driver side, which broke 3 days apart. Now that I've got them disassembled, it looks as if the lock cylinder is an entirely separate piece from the broken handle. It seems that you just pull the screw and the lock mechanism in order to get to the handle that needs replaced. So you are not replacing the piece that receives the screw. Now I am just waiting for my handles to arrive and try to decide how to spend the $170 you saved me!
Natalie Ockey Yup! That is correct. As you saw in the video, the par you're referring to is completely separate from the handle itself. The handle for the front and rear door is the same. Steps for replacing both handles are similar. Only difference is that the black cover for the rear door is facing the inside of the door. Once again, do not drop the bolt inside the door, I can't stress that enough. That'll make a quick 3-5min job into a 1-3hr. job. Good luck with your repair!
Here is the door disassembly video for anyone that dropped their bolt inside the door. ua-cam.com/video/8vK26uX0WEI/v-deo.html

Thanks, was able to do this in 5 minutes.
Mainly because the old handle came of completely, so all I had to do was remove the lock thing and replace, put back and screw back and I used a magnetic socket.
Saved me at least $50
Nice work! Glad you found the video helpful.
Thanks for this video, I replaced a couple of handles on my husband's car. You saved us time and money!
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the links for the part and the paint. I couldn't believe the paint costs more than the part!
Haha, yeah. Parts online will be cheaper than buying at the dealership aka "stealership".
Thanks a lot!!! It is so simple and well explained that although I do not speak English I could understand perfectly and it came out perfect. really a million thanks. and the man who repairs cars was charging me 150 dollars for that.
You are welcome!!
Thanks for the tip. Glad I could help.
Thanks for showing how it's done. Saved me a ton of time. Well done!
Glad I could help!
Awesome! Thank you. Much quicker and cheaper than taking it to the shop.
Glad my video was helpful.
I just had the same experience. Shop wants to charge me $300 for this. The auto repair industry needs to be regulated! Such BS. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video. It took me less than 10 minutes to change my broken door handle.
Glad I could help!
You've helped me twice now. Thank you!
Haha, I'm glad that I was helpful for you. Feel free to subscribe to my channel to be notified of future videos.
Thank you! I was so not looking forward to removing the door panel. Going to order the part right now.
Glad you found my video helpful.
MTTech: Thanks so much for video! I pulled handle on Sonada in a hurry and it broke. I originally bought. I already got handle, just need to get paint, and especially magnetic pick puller. Nice job on capture video for your showing!
Glad I could help with the video. Let me know how it goes! Good luck!
Glad I could help.
This video has saved my life, Thank you sir :)
You're welcome!
Great video. This saved me a lot of time and money. So easy to follow.
Glad it helped!
Good tip! Hope it helps others who watch this video!
Hello again MTTech. I just found the part! (I should have looked a bit closer before bothering you. Thanks again for teaching me how to do this. You have a new subscriber.
You're welcome!
Great tutorial. I'll be doing this on a Kia Sorento but looking at it, they appear to be quite similar. Great step by step way on how to do it with great explanations. Thank you.
Steps should be similar depending on the model. Thanks for your feedback! I appreciate it.
Excellent instruction....I will be doing this as soon as handle arrives from Ebay.
Thanks for the feedback. Good luck on your repair!
Fantastic video! Thanks for taking the time to make this
You're welcome!
Great footage. 👍 I have to do this for my girlfriend's daughter's 07 sonata & you provided the best detailed explanation compared to the other videos I've reviewed. Thanks for sharing!!
That's great! I'm glad you found my video helpful.
Very good video. I found new handle for $10 from China, made of ABS. Parts stores want $50, and say each one is a different part number! Hyundai wants much more. So I can replace all 3 on friends Hyundai for $30. Good deal!
where did you ordered it?
Bill Miller, can you tell us where you find the parts, the link for Ebay in the description is not available anymore. Thanks.
Simple, searched for Hyundai door handle, sound several for about $10.
we found new OEM parts on Amazon for $15 each. just replaced both back handles with the package (ordered Thursday, arrived Sunday on MOthers day) My wife is very happy (Next weekend I will remove them and paint them but at least she can open the doors this week with our 2 small kids)!
Bill Miller ,that's exactly what I did. Ordered the part on Amazon on Sunday and got the part on Tuesday, I wanted to get next day delivery but it was $ 22 more . So I got a free trial and it worked out fine. Total was $13. have a great day.
Great video. Thanks a lot! My Sonata is black. Are the door handles for the black models painted?
Clint Blatchford No. Parts come unpainted. The handle comes in a solid black color. it doesn't have the metallic sparkles that would be on some cars that are painted black.
Great, very detailed video. Thank you. Straight to the point!!
Thank you for watching.
Thank you for the excellent how to video. I am confident I can do this (with the right tools:). I have a 2006 Azera limited and the handles have a "chrome" accent. Any idea as to how to find the replacement with "chrome"? Thanks again.
You need part number 82651-3L000. www.fourgreen.com/store/scripts/HANDLE-ASSEMBLY-DOOR-OUTSIDE-p-826513L000
I replaced the drivers door handle in 2-4 minutes. Thanks I saved $100 in labor. Suggest people buy a magnetic device to retrieve the 8m bolt.
@@MTTech Thank you. That's really good to know!
What are the tools you used, please.
Are you saying the inner plastic piece that the outside door handle hooks on to is broken?
MTTech both sides broke off, I was able to fish out one of them but the broken off part on the keyhole side is still in there.
@@martinagarcia8256 ah, so you're talking about the "hook" piece of the outer door handle that I said I was able to get out by taking apart the door?
MTTech yes sir, the longer side is still in there
@@martinagarcia8256 I see. You don't need to retrieve that broken piece, because the new handle will just slip into place. The only reason you'd want to retrieve the piece is to obtain the small clear plastic piece if the new handle didnt come with it.
My handles didn't come with a didn't come with the little clear plastic piece. Will this be a problem?
Yes it will be a problem, as inside the door a latch rides along the clear plastic piece, without it your handle will break sooner than with the plastic piece. I suggest you either contact the seller that sold you the handles or reuse the old plastic piece from the old handle if you have it.
Thank you - just had to use this video to fix my 06 Sonata and was a 2 min fix thanks to this video - scariest part is that little bolt and scared that I would lose it in the door
Haha, yes I totally agree about the little bolt. I learned the hard way. Glad you were able to fix your handle.
Thank you for your excellent video! I was able to repair my door handle myself in 10 minutes.
Glad it helped!
Thank you! This information is extremely helpful.
pseudo invert You're welcome!
great video! How do I do the rear door?
Great video thank you .now I will be able to do it myself.keep up the good work
+Yolanda Rivera Thanks! More to come.
My 2008 kia sorento front passenger side handle just broke. So this replace procedure really does look like plug and play. Do your automatic door locks and key turn all work properly now?
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, after replacing the door handle, everything works perfectly.
Thank you so much for helping me save $200. I feel a great accomplishment for doing it myself
That's great! Glad I could help!
thanks for this video. changed out the door handle in 5 minutes (2008 Sonata).
Glad you were able to do it yourself!
Not sure how they match a car that close when it is 6 years old but they did
Good luck on the repair!
I agree, their color matching is near if not spot on.
This is great! It looks easy and I am lazy! I thought I had to take the entire door apart. Now I an order the parts and do it myself.
+Nicholas J. Rapanotti Yeah, the is a pretty easy part replacement. The hard part was painting the new door handle, and not dropping the little screw/bolt.
Just done this today thanks for posting this video.it was helpful
You're welcome
Can’t wait to try this soon as I get home
I wish you luck!
perfect... had same year, same color, same door. ya saved my ass.
Haha, glad I could help man.
Question: if you drop the bolt, can u get replacements or you have to take the door apart?
You can get replacements from Hyundai, although they'll likely have to order the screw/bolt. You could also go to a hardware store that sells metric bolts/screws. Bring the lock cylinder with you and have an employee help you find a metric screw/bolt that fits.
A piece of PVC pipe together with the magnet and ratchet works also to prevent loss of the screw.
How much paint do you need to coat the handle? They offer 1/2 oz bottle or pen, 2 oz bottle, or 12 oz aerosol spray can.
Looks so easy good job thanks
Thank you very much bro, you saved me a lot of money, and I appreciate that you shared your experiences 👍 😀 .. best regards
You're welcome!
Great video. Worked like a charm on a rear door. Even *I* was able to do it. Thanks for posting. --Signed Most Repair-Inept Man Alive.
Glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching.
what size/type of paint did you get for one handle? what do you recommend for 2?
Looks like I missed/didn't see this comment. If you still need help...one aeresol can will be plenty for two handles.
Yeah, it would be easier for us if they had prepainted handles, but it would cost more considering they'd have to cover all colors between 2006-2010 as well as the Kia models that use the same handle.
hey I was just wondering if the Hyundai Azera works the same way to change the handle
Charles Mills If you're referring to the the 2006-2011 Azera, it should be similar. I'm not sure about the 2012+ models.
This was super helpful and well instructed. Thanks!
No problem! Glad I could help.
Thanks for making this video. It really helped a lot.
No problem!
Ever since then the window has always moved fine, although you can tell it's struggling compared to the other windows.
you saved me a bunch of money...with the money I saved I can buy my girl some flowers...thanks
Glad I could help
Leaning a lot of you thanks
The cap that surrounds the lock, doe it just snap on?
Yes, but the lock cylinder has to come out first.
Did your droplight burn out?
I don't own a drop light.
