My mother used to sing this song. Decided to Google it tonight and found this. Takes me back to a simpler time, being a kid and listening to my mother sing as she worked around the house. Feels like a long time ago and just yesterday.
I met him when he was a guest on a TV show at a station where I worked. He was SO NICE!!!! Sincere, a regular guy. Hung out with us, even stayed after the show to sign autographs or have pictures. It was a fun time with MMM. We were excited to see him since Wildfire was a favorite of ours growing up. Loved it!
This song reminds me of my 3D/2N stayed with cowboys and their families in Springerville, AZ in 1994. We slept under the stars, sung some cowboy ballads, went on a cattle drive and branding. It was really great fun except for the branding where I had to put the hot iron onto the calves and slit their ears.
I just rediscovered this wonderful singer and song writer. I am so glad he is still out there doing great. I loved the story here and back ground he shares. Wonderful!
This was a favorite song of my Dad and his Dad.
We played an instrumental version at my Dad’s memorial service last week.
My dad used to be working in the garage fixing things and sing these songs. I wish I could have shared this with him.
Thank you, Michael! I've been listening to you for 45 years, and I love your cowboy songs!

Thanks for keeping the old cowboy music alive. They are fading fast
