- Shout out to Zachary (& his dad), both of whom are super mid-Florida railfans, who travel all around shooting video of the trains that pass through the Lakeland area, and beyond.

I found this spot using Google Earth to find the convergence of the railroad lines. At the highway overpass, train mainlines cross from three different directions! (a big deal in FLA) Also, we were there to see the southbound AND the northbound Amtrak passenger trains (with double-deckers!), each with a baggage car at the end.
At this location, the sidings to all the customers makes for a span of 8 tracks across!!!
KIK Consumer Products (as indicated in the video), in addition to manufacturing household cleansers (Comet, Clorox, Spic and Span) they also make automotive products (Prestone coolant, brake fluid, etc.) and swimming pool products like shock treatment and algae control. That explains the hoppers (lime?) and the tankers (chlorine!).
Riding on the train is fun!
I didn't want to get too close. I have seen other dudes land on a truck or something, but not me.... not yet.😁

@@jackieo8693 this spot is great though, and there are plenty more of these interesting and busy railspots on this line, and I plan to visit them too!!!

It was great to meet you guys, talk about trains and drones, and to shoot video of that spot and see the trains go by us. I'm glad you like the video. I would really like to hear what suggestions you might have about great railspots to watch trains in this area. Maybe we will meet again!!
