God bless you and your family as you show your kids the value of working together for the greater good . . .producing high quality food, enjoying & connecting to the land handed down from generation to generation and spending quality time together.

    Hi Pete,
On your possible problem with cows “pawing” at the gravel pile. You could use one of those ‘rope/wire’ reels (smaller the better). Not good for anything too permanent, but when paired with plastic steaks it’s great for no-go zones. And also fantastic for creating temporary roadways and if two people hold each end you can create a moving wire to move animals around.
    I hope this helps.
    Sean.

Burdock seed pods. Annoying, Horses and cattle would come up from the woods covered in burdock seeds. Horse mane's and tails a matted, mess. We would cover our fingers with motor oil. Yup! You would rub it on the burdock and work them out. What a mess. The horses would fall asleep while they stood there cleaning them up. I think it was their secret plan. Thanks Pete and Hillary.
