Never heard of this. But i believe this actually found me. Im going through a devastating time. Im currently in the beginning stages of leaving my abusive husband with our 5 year old child. I have no money, no where to call home. I have been planning and praying and hoping all will go well. This here has been the one thing to take my mind away from this nightmare. I believe i have found a nee love, amongst all my pain… classic old time radio shows. Thank you for sharing this. Its giving me a tiny piece of peace in this current situation im in. God bless you ❤️🩹
@OilOfJoy12 I'm very sorry for your situation hopefully everything gets sorted out soon, we all need something to help get us through life I'm very happy this has helped in some way, good luck to you and all the best.....
Thanks for posting this one. I had no idea there was a radio version. This was one of my favourite comedies growing up. A classic " Ealing classic. " Sends my mind spiralling back through the decades. And Its lovely to hear the dulcet tones of the late, great Donald Sinden. So unique. What a bonus.
This such fun, so many humorous moments. As an English person, I appreciate the respect given to such acting icons by not interrupting with ads! For you younger folks, check out Johnny Morris (the parrot). We oldies grew up with him, in the days when there were only 2 TV channels, can you believe? Don't anyone dare diss the parrot
An absolute gem. Will listen a good few times before I'll get bored with it. Thank you for sharing, it is a joy to listen to. 🎉
@ildikoridley3734 An absolute gem very atmospheric glad you enjoy it...
Wonderful! What a brilliant adaptation so close to the film which I love. Johnnie Morris as General Gordon! Thank you for posting.
Brilliant. I could imagine the film when listening. A superb and radio production. Thank you for posting.
