- We all saw the Venom trailer. We are waiting for Venom 2: Let There be Carnage. But, one thing was obvious, that Venom was scared of Carnage. So, why did that happen? Is it because Carnage is more powerful than Venom? Or something else?

My point is, Eddie is worth compromising with and important enough to Venom that he wants to keep him on his side if possible. He's also somewhat attached to Eddie( literally and emotionally lol)

A reason for Carnage’s transformation vs Venoms: Carnage actually merged with Cletus’s entire blood system. He’s not just inside Cletus, he pretty much IS Cletus
The symbiote is mostly cletus blood

Yes, Carnage is the offspring to Venom. And some sources of information state that the Symbiote's offspring is severely stronger than their parent. In the comics, Venom sometimes had to team up with others (mostly Spider-Man) to take Carnage down.

Carnage in the comics has a much stronger bond to Cletus than Eddie and Venom due to the method, and Cletus was its first host. The movie nerfed the bond for plot reasons, but even then Carnage was shown to be *significantly stronger* than Venom AND Spiderman.

I think it’s carnage’s abilities that made him cautious, see venom is more brute strength and although he can stretch his body to attack, Carnage’s body is way more fluid, he can shift his body shape to whatever he wants and he can make both projectiles and actual weapons. Not to mention he’s his spawn making him stronger than Venom, the reason why he won was because Cletus resisted in the end and Shriek helped making noise

First, why do you keep sayin kid like that? Like you'd be usin it like it was an insult even if I was one.
Second, you can be smart as you want in a fight but a difference in stats when larger enough can crush any well thought strategy.
It's why there are weight classes in fighting sports. And it's why Venoms race, in the comics, don't fight their offspring. It's exceedingly risky.

When you see another guy with the same species as you(which is basically your offspring), bonded with a serial killer, has more bloodlust than you, has resistance towards your weakness and can use abilities that you don't have. As the video states, one of my FAVORITE details is the fact that venom comes out to encapsulate eddie. Essentially showing that venom is the power to eddies host. Protecting him. But carnage turns cassidy insode out in order to reveal himself. That beast comes from within. But eddie is part of a team

Carnage was a spawn/child of venom. As far as I know, Klyntars almost went extinct because they are afraid of their children. Their spawn was much stronger than their parent. Venom knows that he doesn't have a chance against a next-generation klyntar.

no venom was not scared of carnage because of his bond with Cletus. it was the specific type of symbiote that carnage was. he is a blood symbiote that can launch projectiles and if you watched the movie he is UTTERLY terrifying.
Hate to break it to you, but venom was technically afraid of carnage because carnage is his offspring and the offsprings are always stronger. Color had nothing to do with it. Each symbiote has their powers which makes them unique. This movie was a total mess, though it was visually pleasing to watch. Love/hate relationship

Carnage is Venom's offspring, in the comics it was stated that each generation of symbiote was stronger than the previous one. And since Venom's offspring is Carnage, he'd obviously hesitate. Also, red symbiotes are natural born hunters and are a lot more aggressive in the symbiote planet. Combine these two with the fact that Carnage bonded with a serial killer, and the result is pretty terrifying. Also, Carnage has bonded with Cassidy on a cellular level, he is literally infused with his blood. So even if you somehow seperate the two, they will still become Carnage.
Edit: There are also alternative Carnage versions that have a different reason as to why they are red, specifically the symbiote infusing with Casady's blood cells, thus turning red. But that's not the case for the movie as Venom already knows what the red color means the second he sees Carnage.

I was thinking of a different reason. Venom is black and he said that he was a loser on his planet. Riot was silver and was apparently a team leader with an arsenal of weapons. And that blue one was apparently the higher lifeform. Red ones are probably the bloodthirsty berserkers, klyntar terminator s if you will. That would explain why Venom would be scared of Carnage.

Carnage has a stronger bond because he refers to himself as "I" instead of "we" which is why he's Venoms biggest enemy but also Venom/Eddie feel obligated to stop Carnage because he is the spawn of Venom, hence why Carnage calls Venom "Daddy Dearest". That's partly true, the bloodthirsty and aggressive thing isn't but yes they are stronger, for Instance, carnage's son toxin is also red and the only reason he was so bloodthirsty was because he still the mind of an infant that had inherited carnages thought process but after fusing with a police officer he became more of a hero rather than that

@@ryckass-leeofficial False. The reason carnage is red when fused with Cassidy, is because when he bites Eddie in the trailer, he gets a peace of venom inside of him. Then when it shows the death serum getting injected into Cassidy, that piece of venom fuses with the death serum causing carnage to fuse with Cassidy’s bloodline. And that’s also why carnage can split open whilst getting shot at instead of showing Cassidy’s body, because his blood is fused with carnage.

There is actually another reason is that if you have read the Marvel Comics before you know that Carnage is actually the son of venom now venom didnt marry anyone and its apparently just how Symbiotes work, and as the comics stated, every generation of Symbiote get stronger and stronger, so thats also a reason why Venom was so scared, because carnage was the next generation of venom
Carnage is one of the most dangerous symbiotes. Also known as Venoms' offspring. Every offspring is going to be stronger than the original parent of that offspring. So yeah, since Venom was the first to be on Klyntar he's essentially the weakest symbiote

For real, I would love to see Venom refer to Carnage as a parasite just to piss him off.
Venom is the product of a symbiotic association of an alien (the black goo) and Brock (played by Tom Hardy). Brock is the host, the alien is the parasite - and the source of Venom's violent behavior.
My biggest problem with the movie is that they don't understand Carnage. I realized this when Venom said that Carnage wasn't truly symbiotic, but that's the point of Carnage, that him and Cletus have a much, much stronger relationship than Venom, and that's what makes him so deadly, and stronger than Venom. Cletus and the symbiote are both insane psychopaths and the symbiote is even in his bloodstream, so they are even physically more attached, to the point where Cletus doesn't even really have a body anymore, and can manipulate himself at will. It just really annoyed me to give Venom an excuse to beat him.
I love how, even the transformation shows that Cletus and Carnage are the same while Eddie's transformation shows Venom as a suit. That's some attention to detail
I think it's because Carnage bonded to Cletus at the cellular level, There's more info in the comics but That's what I could gather.

I think that the “I am Carnage” is actually showing not that they have a stronger bond, but that Cassidy and Carnage are just on the same page so they don’t mind the other being out. The “We are Venom” shows a stronger bond because it is showing it isn’t just the one who is outside is controlling everything, Venom and Eddie allow each other to come out even when in the opposite form.

Parents are way stronger than kids but with age parents become old and lose strength. Therefore venom was stronger but with time he lost strength because of the age on my opinion. Yet he is smarter because he has more knowledge unlike carnage

Carnage always kicked Venoms ass but Venom was never scared of him.
One major ability Carnage has is being able to fire projectiles.

One little mistake i found is that you said “carnage is more resilient to separation with its host” when actually the opposite is true. Because carnage is actually fused with his host on the cellular level, being separated actually severely weakens both of them.
Being resilient to separation means it’s harder to be separated from the host, but yeah once separated, carnage is much ưeaker.
Isn't this why in the Comics Carnages other hosts weren't as powerful as when he was with Cassidy
Carnage is bonded to cassidy's blood, it would kill either cassidy or carnage, maybe even both if they were separated

There's a reason why Venom is afraid of Carnage. Being the symbiote offspring and fully hosting a very insane criminal, Venom is quite strong in his own right that give Spider Man a run for the money, but Carnage puts everything of it on steroids and he is deluded and evil. Kassidy in symbiote form is one of the very deadliest villains in Spider Man. Look how difficult it is for Parker to face him in the 1994 TV series!
Imagine the end credit scene there's a news segment that shows Spider-Man and Venom is like "He's the perfect host."

Sorry but that's false, red means the symbiote is an offspring, aka a child. So it's very dangerous and its only instinct is to kill... Being a predator and all that. Because of it being young it has wild capabilities to use its body like no other symbiote. That's why it had crazy amounts of weapons, even being able to fire parts of itself off. Offsprings are always stronger than the parent, so venom being an adult knows it could have come from any parent, venom is considered weak among other symbiotes. So whoever it's parent is, means it's 3x or more stronger than venom.
Btw it's parent is venom, so it's only twice as strong as him. But venom doesn't know this yet, as seen from his reaction

Venom had multiple offspring in the comics and most weren't red...a red symbiote means the symbiote completely bonded with the host through its blood. Thats why its red. They're bonded to the point where they don't even say "we"...they say "I" am Carnage
