The ball on the top is called the finial. The truck is the pulley. The tie off is called the cleat. The rope would be your halyard. And the buckles are snap hooks or carabiners. And if you didn’t already, get yourself a Deneve top mounting LED solar light. Easily mounts between your finial & truck. Peace. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅💙💙
What do you think about using a self tapping screw on each pole segment connection point? Do you think it would be a benefit of an eyesore(s). I'm asking because I live in Florida and we are prone to high winds on a very regular basis. Does it seem like the sections will hold together pretty securely? Mine is ordered and on the way.
You could do that if you feel you need to but I have never had an issue with the sections coming apart. The main issue with high winds will be the pole bending near the bottom. I’ve had that happens to two poles in the past. Recommend removing the flag when very high winds are expected. And it is best to fly only one flag. You can fly two if there are no little to no winds.
Hi, I'm having a very hard time getting the pole together, I cant find any proper assembly videos anywhere and this video goes from the box to the flag pole completely together, for the top of the flag pole where the winder/gold ball go, do you just need to screw the screw into the top of the pole into the metal? the instructions are so vague on the manual and was hoping this video would show the entire process from start to finish
The pole with the rope tie off should go at the bottom or next to bottom depending on how you like it. The only other pole that is different will be the very top pole. It will be smaller. Please let me know if this helps
@@edandg I'm having a similar problem with fitting the sections together. There is one section in particular that appears to fit, but it will need some force or manipulation to get the sections together. What do you think?
Yes. This kit did include a second set of carabiners to hold a second flag:) Thank you. However I do not recommend heavy flags. For this pole both flags should be silk and not heavy material, especially if it is windy. Thank you for watching. :)
The poles came one inside the other. Does anyone have advice how to get these apart? We have tugged and pulled, allowed to warm up, but they do not come apart. One is so far inside that we do not have anything to grab to get them apart.
@@edandg Thank you - we did try tapping with a dowel rod and then pulling on the other end.... Not sure how we are going to get these apart.... Did everyone else have this problem?
Hey man I know it’s been a year, but so fixed my issue by getting a screwdriver with no bit and putting it on the inside pipes which i then had a hammer to hit it and i freed both of them.

@@chrismcdade8283 maybe ask the supplier to send a replacement. Or at least replacement for that piece.
Hi Ed, Nice flag set up, question, Is there room to hang another flag below old glory?

Hi. I just realized I answered your question under my other account. This is Ed:)

@@EddieATurner the smaller pole is probably the top part of the pole. Let me know if that helps:)

Try getting a vice to grip the pole then gently tap on the inside pole. Or call for return of item if you don’t want to risk damaging the pole.
