01/13/2024 - Hollerwood Ride Easy? Lots of Green trails today

On this day we’re with Friends and we wanted to do a bunch of Green trails on this day since we are not very familiar. Jim & Sherri aer on these trails often and offered to lead us and another Friend Cody. Lots of trails today, 5/7/8/Shortcut/11/12/Part of 15/back out 12/more of 5/3 and out Sand lick road. Trailview is the official map/app. I was using OnX and it has the trails mapped but not the difficulty.
Trailview has the difficulty in colors and depending on how long it has been since they have been maintained they can get rough:
Green = easy
Blue = medium
Black = Hard
Purple = Extreme

There is a lot more than just the Byway. Hollerwood's trail maintenance can leave something tube desired so I would't go it alone.

Great video! I haven't been to Hollerwood, but used to do the trails before it was a park. Just finished a trip last week through Slade/Beattyville area and then down to Windrock TN. Hopefully we can do Hollerwood this fall!

Thanks for this. Been to the Gorge a lot, but never to Hollerwood. Always wondered how good it would be. Are you all gonna be down there Memorial Day weekend or the weekend after?
