Damn the pillow talk opinion you shared validated me so much 😂🤭 I have always felt that the shade was pretty average, and would never suit indian skin tones except people like Alia - who are extremely fair! That's why I never got myself to buy it and now finally someone validated it because influencers have always made me feel so guilty for not owning that one lipstick despite being a makeup enthusiast 😂 Anyways, glad you shared your honest opinion. On that tone, Walk of No Shame seems to be a good shade but I am sure it's available in other brands... If you find a dupe, please do share w us because CT is super expensive and it doesn't make sense to spend so much on an average formula, as you rightly mentioned. Will be waiting for that dupe :P

The thing with most of her lipsticks .. it’s not unique. It was back then. There are some amazing shades. But it’s so sheer that after a drink ( forget food) it goes away. Even pillow talk two is beautiful but not unique. I like the brand a lot but something you gotta state the obvious.

damn so true about the ponds gel moisturizer!!! it broke out my skin like anything. my skin has never reacted to anything like that and i got a big tub of it thinking it would be amazing. i cried looking at the way my skin reacted. guys run away from this product if you have sensitive or acne prone skin. one of the worst product ever.

Thanks a lot for debunking the glory of CT Pillow talk lipstick! Can't go through a day of my life when I'm scrolling social media and no one using any single product from this brand. It's like the must have makeup brand for everyone out there despite it's outrageous price! I believe we need more of this content. And I really appreciate the disclaimer you put into the beginning of the video. I think because of the popularity of social media it's easy to influence someone but to actually spread awareness is becoming more harder.
Love it! Nobody talks about inclusivity when it comes to international products, I feel they work for a very specific type of skin tone and texture like the infamous Pillow Talk lol. A lot of friends told me about the disaster that is the Charlotte Tilbury foundation. Was eyeing the Rare Beauty blush because the packaging looked so cute, will stay put with my Earth Rhythm lip and cheek tint pot for now (a recco I got from you!) Absolutely loving the formulation and getting a lot of use out of the product. I'm super dry on the cheeks and it works for me! Would love to see more videos in this zone! 😍

Completely agree about the Smashbox liquid lipstick. I absolutely loved the shade Bawse and bought the bigger tube. The rate at which it dried up was just unreal and so disheartening.
One product that you'd suggested that did not work on me though was the rosehip seed oil by juicy chemistry. I did use it continuously for about 3-6months but it didn't really have any effect. Also I felt it dried my skin a little - Didn't quite enjoy how it sat on my skin.

I had acne all over the face from 10 years, and when I applied ponds superlight gel it calmed down my acne and cleared my skin in around a month.
Only then i realised my skin needed proper moisturisation that this gel gave.
Have been using superlight gel in all weathers and it moisturizes my skin perfectly even in winters ..
Have used over 70 tubs of superlight gel.
Sad that it didn't work for you.
I would suggest everyone to try this wonder product out once, chances are that will work for you.

Updating my favourite series on your channel! The wit is on point yo 🙌 as overly sensitive acne prone oily skin person, I am hella grateful for your existence on digital space. Be it the plum toner, deconstruct retinol, aqualogica sunscreen, shesha manjal, the just herbs hair mask name it and I love it ❤️ has worked all so well and cannot thank you enough. The ponds cream is kakkas, have never hated a moisturizer anymore and I'll just never buy so many products going by you deinfluencing me from buying them!
I absolutely second on the Charlotte Tilbury, the shades of the lipsticks are no doubt beautiful, but the price is freaking absurd. I use the shade Walk of no shade, it’s definitely not a pigmented lipstick but a sheer one and goes away if you eat food. I love it during my casual dressing day as it’s sheer and clean. Lakmé never suited my skin. I remember using it during my school days, but then hello, I have oily skin and Lakmé was a disaster, however the 9-5 lipsticks are a bomb.

I love that Lakme foundation but it is a very small amount definitely for the price. Also definitely agree on the pillow talk lipstick , i was shocked to see the pigmentation was so poor even though I am pretty fair
I bought juicy chemistry products, their lip balm on recommendations from many influencers including you!! But it's extremely pathetic.. Very costly and lip balm was avg. Moreover their facial oil was no special either. Whom should we trust then??

Bang on on CT pillow talk. It washes out my face. Its for very very fair complexion. Not that creamy also. Money wasted. But I mix it with other lipsticks now.
Within few months we can see D' influencing going a trend content among indian creators. 😁 i wish they give credit. Buying a lot of make up and skincare to try out to review as a content creator is okay. That's your job, i understand that and you guys are putting yourself in danger trying various products. So i have huge respect for you. But a normal person like me littel is enough. But the thing is those trending videos which comes on Instagram where they show off their make up, skincare, collection is also another reason for this over buying. I am glad you did this video. Loved it. We need more of this. As far for me the things i bought by your recommendation always worked for me. So whenever planing to buy something new i always take your suggestion only. Oily acne prone skin. What is the differnce between scars and structure?? I thought both were same. And i am also overwhelmed with the amount of products coming out every month. Glad that you talked about Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk. I never found it to be worthy enough to spend that much money for such a mediocre Lip Shade. Same I have to say about Smashbox liquid lipsticks, minis are worth the money but not the big ones.

Except the luxurious packaging there's nothing special about pillow talk. I passed it on to someone more fairer

Hi Shweta, thanks for the video. After your recommendation, I had bought 2 bottles of JustHerbs Gotukola Indian Ginseng serum, however, it didn't change anything on my skin at all. 😔 I had the exactly same experience with Ras Luxury Oil as well.

I can't buy Smash Box but that happens with my Wet and wild lipstick which is my most favourite nude shade of my entire life (give me mocha) 😭 After opening the seal it dries up so quickly even if I'm not using it still is dries up 😭 And I keep on buying it because there is no dupe/ alternatives 😭 I found very few lipsticks which is similar but these are very pigmented. Not for daily use 😭

Finally someone brave enough to debunk CT Pillow Talk which I have always found a very unflattering colour for Indian skintone. Your de-influencing this product was a bliss amongst the barrage of vlogs praising this shade and also coming up with dupes for it. Also agree with the smashbox one as I too have bought the small one instead of the big size. Its also worth investing in the bullet lipstick of smashbox though as I love that formula.
I agree with the ponds review. Didn't work for me either. I have combo sensitive skin and honestly it gave me an allergic reaction.

Just Herbs lip and cheek tint is also nice.
I am highly inspired by your colored eyeliner looks and i bought many for myself from Faces, Lakme. I love experimenting with my eye looks now so much.
Also, trying new shades of lipsticks from Faces and I am liking it❤️❤️

Products that haven't worked for me:
Earth Rhythm tinted Spf lip balm- too patchy and doesn't stay nor hydrate my lips
Earth Rhythm lip butter (the one in the tube) - i have dry lips and it didn't at all moisturize them. My lips get so badly chapped if i use this.
This is again my opinion, it may work for you but sadly didn't for me. Lots of love Shweta❤️❤️🥰🥰😘😘

Pillow talk and rare beauty and also smashbox one came as a shocker..coz not one person got anything negative about these. The video was refreshing amidst the other influencers. Like an eye opener. Kudos to the courage and the thinking.❤❤❤❤✌
What works for you may not work for others and what works for others may not work for you. I live by this simple rule. And if you haven’t tried out new ingredients for your skin, you will have to go through the trial and error method to find what works best for you. Personally, Ponds superlight gel worked wonders for me. It gave me hydration without making my skin oily and the dewy finish without breaking me out. And I have a horrible acne prone skin that is just depressing when I use products that don’t suit my skin. This one has mild and minimal effect on the skin hence it is a perfect go to moisturiser for me. Nuetrogena hydro boost on the other hand broke me out a lot. So its bio individual everyone. At the end of the day, read the ingredient list, make sure to not purchase a product that claims to fix everything, try to work on the target issues and accordingly buy what you need.

My skin reacted very badly to it, it has Phenoxyethanol, perfume and it's hero ingredient doesnt even gets absorbed by skin. If you live in a cold dry or hot dry area it will do the opposite, it will actually take moisture from your skin and gives it to your surroundings. Hyaluronic acid is such a scam.

Ponds ultra light didn't work for me either i broke out like shit. Well after i did my research and i found it has an ingredient named stearic acid which is highly comedogenic.
A lot of skincare products have this ingredient it helps in that smooth texture of the product. So now check the ingredients before buying anything.

Plum 15% vitamin C serum for my dry sensitive skin was complete waste of money and it burnt my skin☹️. Surprisingly Requil ceramide and HA moisturizer helped my skin to calm down after that🙂

Juicy Chemistry is an overhyped brand..and also extremely overpriced. It's products aren't as good as influencers claim.
I used 10 different products from juicy chemistry some 2-3 years ago.. most of them were amongst their bestsellers.
Not lying.. not a single product worked for me..
In fact the products made my skin look dull and I lost so many hair in 6 months because of their hair products and serums.
I wasted so much money on those 10 products just because every influencer was pushing the brand so much.
I still feel sad for getting duped for my money..😢

Only foundation that works for my super oily skin is Lakmé mousse foundation!I know this doesn’t give full coverage but it’s the best foundation for undetectable no makeup makeup look!
Benefit GoGo Tint. It works but too costly and drying on my lips. I am sure there are better products in the market at lower price point. Clinique plum pop lipstick washed out on my skin tone. Stay was poor as well. I gifted it to a friend who has a lighter complexion. Even MAC bullet Matte lipsticks are okayish.
