- What a game by young, 23-year-old Charles Barkley.
Game 1 from the 1986 ECSF series against Milwaukee Bucks.
Charles was unreal with 31 points, 20 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals and 2 block shots in 46 minutes.
76ers won the game 119:112, but eventually lost the series 4-3.

Chuck in the 80s was damn graceful
Keep those Barkley games coming. Great uploads.
"That Charles Barkley - we just don't see any like that!" - Oscar Schmidt, 1992.
The GOAT PF!
tim duncan is... even charles say's tht.
Tim Duncan plays more like a center. Prime Barkley was better at almost every aspect of the game but Shot Blocking/Interior Defense.
Defender80s it doesnt matter what he plays like hes stil a PF... Thats like saying a score first pg isnt a pg because he doesnt play like one
@@rumisfordrinkingnotburning T.D is a center even POPOVICH says it...
@@jassnaj7443 ???? wrong he is still a CENTER..no matter what position they register him...
Young 76er Chuck is my favorite version of the guy.
Most underrated baller ever, legendary hooper 💯
This is just insane. Just raw athleticism with great instincts. Reminds me of Giannis rn
We haven't seen a really good PF emerge in the league since the '90s with Duncan, Garnett, and Nowitzki. We don't have great centers either these days. Watching Barkley makes me nostalgic. He was a monster.
how about demarcus cousins?
This man was a true beast. Could you please upload the other games from Barkley this series? He was amazing in this playoffs, maybe if you can post the Bullets series highlights could be really interesting to see! Very rare!
The most unique nba player in nova history teams win championships he did the best he could simply manificent
Luv seeing barkley during his 2nd yr. how he developed & all, fun, exciting. Timely as well,w/ injuries 2 toney & (just b4 playoffs) malone.👍👍
Amazing 😆 what a player.
Charles had some hops.
monster
Its crazy to think Charles was 6'4
Charles would average 50 today
One of a kind
I tell you this sixer unit from 86 shouldve met the celtics 86...ECF
No Moses Malone this post-season though. Chuck was already carying them in his 2nd season.
Best Power Forward ever, bar none. Beast during Golden Years. Unstoppable. Duncan, he's great but his style of play is more of a Center even if he lined up at PF AND his teams were always stacked. Dirk...better than Chuck? Get real. Shooting from outside only but then he played in softer, easier to score time. KG, naw. Malone, stats boosted by playing with 2nd best PG ever
Maybe Stockton's stats were boosted by Malone. I'll take Malone's career over Barkley any day. So much more consistent. Better on defense.
Malone had a better "longer" career as he was much bigger and Charles started getting slowed with injuries and was 4 or 5 inches shorter, but Charles used to dominate Malone is his prime years, way to athletic. In his prime years he was neck and neck with Jordan as the best player. Charles was the better than Malone up till about age 32, then Malone was a lot more productive from that point.
Mark Tarver when did Barkley dominate Malone? When? Was he better in some years? Sure. But Barkley was neck and neck with MJ because of his defense and his dedication was often questioned as well. I see no indication he "dominated" Malone. Maybe in a particular game but that's it.
I watched those guys, read up on every game that was not broadcast back then. Head to head he got the best of Karl Malone from the mid 80s up until 91 or 92 nearly every time. After that Malone had the better seasons due to Charles loosing his athletic ability which he depended on being the shortest PF in the game (I've met him, I'm 6'4" and he may be a half inch taller than me). Charles could do a lot of things Malone could not do with his ball handling ability and was simply un-guardable. Malone ran the floor well and along with Stockton were great tandem that fed off of each other. Charles was much better at creating his own offense. The other thing about Charles was when there was another star in the game he seemed to always out pace them. In all of his game where he face a Shaquille O'neal team and even though Charles was much older he would put up better stats in the head to head. Charles's peak years were really 87 (when he led the league in rebounding) until the 92-93 season. Malone peak seasons were from around 91 or 92 until 96ish. Tim Duncan, Karl Malone had better, longer careers. But if they all played each other in their prime you would see Charles putting up 3o to 40 on them and out rebounding them, getting them in foul trouble (if the other team was crazy enough to put them on Charles).
Mark Tarver according to this link Barkley DID NOT dominate Malone every time early on. Barkly dominated Malone in the 87-88 season. That's it. Barkley played some small forward and was a better ball handler but even in the early years Malone was a better defender and more durable.

Too bad the Sixers didn't get Barkley one year earlier. Then he would have a title.
Tenacious.
Had he been more of a high volume shooter could have scored a lot more if he wanted to
chuck is like draymond green but better
They only thing Charles Barkley is better at than Draymond is scoring and rebounding nothing else
Much, much better. Green isnt on Barkleys level at all. Prime Charles was a freaking beast. Its a shame he wasted so many years on some terrible Sixers teams.
+Steph Curry The G.O.A.T you mean, the TWO things... not only. And Barkley isnt just better, hes light years ahead of Green in both of those departments. Granted, his defense is average at BEST... but he had a lot of steals playing the weak side passing lanes. Green is a solid player, but hes not on Barkleys level..
+Benniefranchise Only similarity is that they're both undersized PFs. If you were to compare Barkley to a current player, he is probably most similar to Cousins except Barkley was way smarter and more efficient.
+Ernesto Hendrix i understand where u coming from... But imo cousins is like a mini shaq and like u said low iq version too 😁
fucking terrible camera work. btw im working on a barkley highlight video and i will be stealing your videos
