What is the distance between the canister and the wheel well on this truck? They really need to work on integrating this system with a toolbox while keeping it as flush as possible. I’d put one in every truck I own from here on out if they made one.
The canister of the # RTT-80485 extends 12 inches rearward into the bed from the bulkhead. We don't have the measurement you requested, but knowing where the rear-most point of the canister sits will allow you to take a measurement to find the canister-to-wheel well distance. We hope that helps you! www.etrailer.com/Tonneau-Covers/Retrax/RTT-80485.html
Here are some. www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry=louvered+tailgate&furl=-pg-Tailgate Make sure that you put your vehicle information into our fitguide so you get the correct fit!
Why would you drill into the side of the bed? There are. Small drain holes in the bottom of the bed. Make those slightly larger. Less risk of damaging the cab.
If you fast forward to the 8:40 mark in the video, you can see that the truck bed isn't equipped with the drain holes. www.etrailer.com/Tonneau-Cover/Retrax/RTT-80485.html
@@etrailer if this truck is not equipped with them, it is still much safer to drill though the bottom of the bed then to have a loop in the drain tube (water will sit in this u joint looking tube) and again risk damaging the cab. I also didn’t see any paint or a grommet. In short order the bed will rust with untreated metal, and the tube may be damaged from the sharp metal. Simply offering construction criticism. **edit From your video, the drain holes cannot be seen from your video. Stand and look directly down at the bed facing the cab. They are at the front of the bed on the 2022 Chevy as well as many GMC and Chevy trucks (I have a GMC 2500 HD).
My question is why a little bit of loctite void warranty? Make it make sense.
Can you put a magnum back rack on with this cover?
