Love the video. Reminds me of my time in BC. I was living south van and would ride my scooter back and forth to work in Delta. I had a Yamaha BWS50 that I put a 80cc kit on. I would drive on the highway with my scooter. It was super sketchy at first but I figured it out. I also never paid for gas for over a year. I would fill the under seat storage with cans from work or ones by the road and cash them in for gas money.
as some one who lives in Abbotsford would you recommend this for like 20km commute im looking to get something cheap and would it work for someone 6.2 and heavy set
It would work, yeah, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you get it registered and insured as a LSM. Insurance is cheap. But at that point, just get a cheap motorcycle. These, with the mods I did to get actual performance, you're looking at going about 5-6k into it. I sold mine, and got a KTM RC390 a few months ago, and love it. Don't need to worry about range or anything.
I ride my Daymak Rogue every day in the summer (weather permitting) to work and back. It's only a 15 minute ride. Four years old, just replaced the batteries. Hoping for four more years. If I see a cop I flip the switch to speed one and all's good.
Cool !! I'm lucky (?) lol 90% of our city's roads are 60 and under. I can ride along in traffic like anyone else. :) You're right about the hills... I usually opt for the most gradual or the least busy ones if I need to. But, you can't beat riding a bike around for 5 or 6 bucks in electricity costs per month compared to the same price daily for gas and maintenance. Gotta love it. :) Cheers, and ride safe !! :)
Most of the areas in my city are 50 zones, where this fits perfectly! But on the way to work, the only two ways are both highways unfortunately. But it's still a lot of fun! I'll be trying out the EM4 too shortly (hopefully).
I live out in pitt meadows I've gone 47k from pitt meadows to abbotsford on 1 charge but it's literally dying when i arrive so a full 10-12 hour charge time before i can return. I sold it last year because the battery doesn't last more than a year or so and it was either sell it for 1,800 or shell out 1000 for a battery. Looking at getting an em4 now because the extra range and removeable battery is worth giving up the sporty e2 style. If they figure out a way to get an em2 with removeable lithiums, i'm down
Hey, I also sold mine. I upgraded to a Armada Predator. From that, I swapped out the motor and controller for higher end ones, got it registered and insured as a motorcycle, and will be doing a 72v 40ah battery upgrade in about a week. Hopefully this solves some of the issues. However, I also just dropped a $500 deposit on a 2022 KTM RC390 which will be here in spring.
I HAD TOO MANY PEOPLE AND POLICE PROBLEMS NOT UNDERSTANDING THE EMMO EM2 IS AN EBIKE. SO I SOLD IT AND WENT BACK TO MY OLDER, DAYMAK KINGSTON INSTEAD. I WISH MORE PEOPLE WERE EDUCATED ON THIS MATTER
I agree with police on this actually. These should not be considered E-Bikes in my opinion. The EM2 has a 2000w motor, and gets around 60-65kmh, is 240lbs, and looks identical to a motorcycle. Personally, I'd like to see something sim to in many US states, where you don't need a license to ride these, but do need insurance. I'd rather have insurance in the event of a crash. Which is why I got rid of my EM2 and got something which can be insured.
By getting a motorcycle license, and getting it registered and insured. But also, via the all, you can change the settings. There's a forum for it. Google it.
Is 32 km fast for the bike only 32 because I want it to be legal but is the legal speed alright like it’s not to fast or not to slow is the bike speed good??
Just get a motorcycle license, or get a normal bicycle style. These as "Ebikes" are trash and should hopefully be made illegal soon. Unfortunately some people ruin this for everyone. These should at least be considered LSMs, which requires a license and insurance. I converted mine over to a motorcycle.
I had the same issue unfortunately, due to the limited space there really aren't many that would work. What I did, was get one with the rubber/elastic parts that covers the corners of the phone, then I took off the backing, and used zip ties to secure it to the triple tree. I'll link you a picture here once I can get one to show you what I mean. But I also got a new phone mount ordered on Amazon, which should be here tomorrow.
dam its worth the upgrade.... for that far of a work horse.... grab some ponnies and take the M class... u can still keep ur bike just take the battiery out and pop a engine in...
Hey, this video's a bit old. I ended up getting my motorcycle license after this, got rid of this bike, got something better, with significantly more range and performance. And got it registered and insured as a motorcycle. I have a few videos on the new bike.
Unfortunately there wasn't a saddle bag mount for these. So they are just "Hanging". Definitely not ideal. But I'm ordering some hard bags for my new bike.
that is the problem ...you have when buying this bike.....you are always wondering not to make a mistake ,,wondering if the police are around...you dont want to draw attention to yourself being careful...etc etc ...i wanted this bike back in the day....but i went with the enduro bike that goes up to 68 mph which is 110km but i still feel like this about my bike ...
It's a aftermarket one, it's a CT-22 from AliExpress. Had to take basically the whole body off the bike to install it, but I prefer the look of it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the time to stick on it after I turn the bike off for a while, and the speed is not accurate. But the stock one was the same way, so it works out. On longer trips I just set the time before I go and it works fine. For speed, I usually have Google maps on my phone mounted, and that shows the speed.

Take your lane on slower streets or during rush hour commutes. I’ve noticed it’s actually more safe when and if possible you can keep up with traffic.
Nice ride to work I also do the same I also live in Vancouver
Also in Vancity, I'm looking to pick a used one up soon. Do you still recommend this at about half the retail price?

What phone mount do you use I bought the same bike from a local retailer and can’t seem to find a phone mount that fits

What are the saddle bags you use mate
Those were some generic ones, I'm currently in the process of ordering custom made hard case mounts for my new bike.
@Bryce - YTS I’m interested in where the hard mounts are from

@@YTSBryce ouuu that's still good thank you bro
@@YTSBryce You can calibrate that speed by the way...There is a potentiometer inside of the display
Wow long ride but nicei live in Dt Vancouver but just ride close by
That's definitely a better use case for this bike, but this shows longer rides are definitely possible!
