    Your math is a little off in the casts. Echo can echo itself, meaning you'll get slightly higher returns on average.

      Really? I had no idea. Thank you for bringing this up :)

      Red Nova Tyrant you know what, your video's math is correct now that I look at the game's ability. The echo has a 25% chance of echoing, but your stats have it listed as 1 in 3, which is effectively what you get when you considered multiple echos.

      echo can echo it'self... this feels like a ghost mage onslaught on steroids

      Hush Let me say it like that Magnolia actually destroyed the final boss by echoing 5 times in a row xD

    Replace Barrage with Full Charge, as MP free in a pinch sets your MP cost to 0 so its always capped.

    This is one of those teams that I instinctively know would break the game and end up only planning in my mind. It was great to see it in action!

    Dude, this build is op as hell, and I love it!

    You can also run the peirce Magic Defense, skill instead of chain spell, you shred almost everything.

  • @mannydani9180
    @mannydani9180 6 років тому +5

    So, you wanna be even more mad at this build? Echo can chain off itself. I found this out while messing around on Providence. I took him down from full, in one turn, because of a VERY lucky echo chain, I got 4 or 5 echoes in a row
    Also you can use late bloomer to get +30% to all stats instead of only +20% to defense if you REALLY wanna break things

      Agh, my heart... it can’t take anymore

    I came up with a similar team, but my tank is actually something I wanted to test and worked pretty well: Valkyrie + Ninja.
    Abilities: Turn Tables, Steady MP Recover, Two-Handed, Prescience / Gear: Ribbon and Brave Suit
    You start the fight with 2 BP, so imediately use Spirit Barrier + Utsusemi. Now you can take two physical hits, the first one will be completely avoided and gives you 1 BP, the second one will be dealt to your mana instead of HP. Thanks to Steady MP Recover, you can spam Spirit Barrier even if you get out of MP in a hit. Worked pretty well.

      This is great! That definitely makes the tank much more useful. I just pretty much abandoned mine, great setup!

    • @ivelten
      @ivelten 8 років тому

      U-huh, I came into this build when I wanted to give Valkyrie some utility. I like the concept of the class and I think people underrate it. Jumping can be done to avoid more damage (boss will get some free TP tough). And you can even use Ectoplasm on your mages and let them die in the fight, giving attack to your tank thanks to Soul Mates. I loved it!

    I think your build can be even optimized.
    If you choose to make Tiz not a Guardian, but a sorcerer instead and give him the following abilities:
    -job ability: Guardian (so you can use Soul mirror, meaning you're immune to phisical damage)
    -ventriloquism (now the sorcerer kicks in: You can use f.e. Spirit Rain and give your entire group the rain effect)
    -reflec-ring (An item that grants you reflec for 4 turns making you nearly immune to magic)
    So basically Tiz is pretty much "immortal" so you can make the rest of your team a
    Wizard (highest magical attack in the game) / Time mage (Meteor)
    This should be even more op

    I tried a sample of this build in my own game, having just one meteor ghost instead of three. I started as soon as I had one character who could use Meteor (in my case, it was Tiz). I'm still going through the story, and leveling up jobs, so he's not optimized by any means (which is probably a good thing), his setup is:
    [job I'm leveling] w/ time magic
    Jp up (1)
    Spellcraft (2)
    Mp free in a pinch (1)
    Full charge (1)
    Equipment is the highest Matk/int boosting stuff I have
    Other characters barely even have to do anything, Tiz will start by using Reraise blast, then repeat Meteor Rain until everything dies, which is only a few turns of casting for bosses. If Tiz talks and reverts from ghost state, I'll have another character with Confection to ghost him again. My damage output is so dumb, I'm not even considering making another casting ghost, this is just the right amount of broken for me.

    Well that's one way to absolutely cheese a boss. XD

    Know I'm late and all but I used something like this to defeat Deneb 4 times in a row with [Rain] Meteor Rain. That time/space sword and shield is awesome but this build is very insane

      No problem, I might need to try this out after I beat the game.

  • @vannoah
    @vannoah 7 років тому +1

    one small problem with this, it has little usage in story as most story fights force players to talk with heals player from ghost state.

    • @RedNovaTyrant
      @RedNovaTyrant  7 років тому +1

      VanNoah Awakening yup. That's a good point. And it makes me happy because I just hate this build anyways :D

      If you keep allies at 1 HP and keep ectoplasm on your mages, you don't have any issues.
      As long as you don't heal in between you stay broken.

    Holy Shit! Tried out this build on one of the sins boss, it was a total pushover!

  • @jdrt10
    @jdrt10 4 роки тому

    i just realized you can mimic meteor rains o you dont need ventriloquism or time magic on anyone, saving you the mp ability for more damage and changing yew's class to something with higher int with the spellcraft ability instead of ventriloquism, even the guardian can mimic that if you want...

  • @fenn774
    @fenn774 8 років тому +1

    I honestly prefer Full Charge > Barrage, and maybe even Crossfire (25% chance to repeat your attack when an ally attacks)

  • @IngusRogeth
    @IngusRogeth 8 років тому +3

    this works better if you just make tiz a kaiser/exorcist with precidence because now you can cast noble eagle, winter storm, and undo action making you take no damage and making your team a powerhouse. lul

    I tried to use this build on the Ba'als and zip got anhialated. I'm not sure what I did wrong. 🤷‍♂️

    • @RedNovaTyrant
      @RedNovaTyrant  4 роки тому

      I'm sorry to hear that. Have you checked to see if your Ba'al was magic immune or if it was a hacked send? Those can be nigh unbeatable.

  • @TrevAtHisBest

    Checking out bravely second after at least a year, how do you have them turn into ghosts if the abilities you mentioned after ectoplasm leave no space for ectoplasm?

    • @RedNovaTyrant
      @RedNovaTyrant  4 роки тому +2

      I’d use Ectoplasm first to turn them, and then swap out the other abilities.

    I love broken teams, but I hate the fact this one relies heavily on the ghosts. Did you find another game breaking build, preferably physical?
    p.s. I did watch your ronin/phoenix build, but still had problems building a team around them.

    • @RedNovaTyrant
      @RedNovaTyrant  8 років тому

      I will have a max Special attack video eventually which focuses on a Physical Special Attack. For now, try Quad Wield (2) and equip four Spacetime Blades, Hyper Bracers, and have the Hawkeye commands open to have Harpoon available, which allows you to ignore P. Def. Hope this helps for now

    • @DJNightchild
      @DJNightchild 8 років тому

      Yeah will try. But it seems to me like they've overpowered the mages; because in the first game, they've overpowered the melee class.

    • @RedNovaTyrant
      @RedNovaTyrant  8 років тому

      Yep. That's why I had no damage mages on my Default team. All they were good for was exploiting weaknesses, which didn't even do that much.
