Hi, I will be doing this in AU in the next couple of weeks. The 8020 is the way to go for sure. What size 8020 did you use for the bed frame? From what I've read, plus nuts are stronger, but shouldn't be use for exterior applications.
I had been planning on using the 1010 aluminum but found the joint connectors really chinsy. I was able to snap them with my bare hands. After that I went with 1515 all the way. Also, I wouldn't use plus nuts at all. The require a tight space behind the wall for the plus to "lock" against. Rivnuts stick to anything.
use the 15/15 or in metric 20/20 for main and the 10/10 for less support things. there are hex bold you can use and caige bolts that all will work... explore all option ...
I am working on my step van with 80/20 15/15 and found many ways to do what you did.... I learn 5/16 is the size for most... and bolts are good with it.... take a small piece and just fine ones that slide in ....
5/16th bolts don't work well like other channels say because it is impossible to get the right length. You end up having to grind or saw each and EVERY bolt. My advice is to use the 8020 t-nuts, bolts, and connectors all the way and buy twice as many as you think you'll need.
Batteries bank is on the passenger side in my van, water on the driver side. Even number of 8020 0n either side too after final build. Will post a final build vids soon.
Much better than wood. Great job.
👍

Nice work. Can you say what material The floor panels are ? Thanks
1/2 inch baltic birch. Not sure what else you could use besides would that would also transmit the heat.

All the weight on one side...
Maybe too late, but it looks to me your weight distribution does not look good. Water and batteries on one side may be a problem.

Wtf is aluminum
Are you serious?
@@undertheradarvan it's a joke about how you North Americans do not pronounce the last "I" in the the word aluminium.
Magents...Why?
So the slats don’t rattle or pop off while driving over a bumpy road.
