    Hey, Muzamil!
I know it would never be possible but I still wanna say this. We have an uncle who is basically a lawyer. He was also a businessman. But he was not like one of the people who built empire. But let me tell you what he is. He was a history student and loved to know about everything.
Recently, he visited our place and we had many discussions. I can't even tell you, how amazingly you explains things and it's crazy to know that he knows every single thing in this world. He can sit down with anyone and can talk about the most bold or the simple topics in a way that you will be mesmerized. I wish I could make you both people agree to do an interview. But as I said, it might not be possible🥲🥲
Anyways, you are doing a good job!
    I appreciate your work :) ❤️

one can only wish he was sitting at the role of the finance ministry or maybe even advising them because he knows taking tough pills now can give us a healthier future rather than put make up and perfume on our gangrous limbs and keep praying
Allah is always the one that blesses His faithful ppl but He also says to tie your camel before praying for its protection
we haven't tied our camel and are just winging it
at this point its all about the suffering of millions to maybe save a little bit of political capital for Nl league and PDM

Here is a difficult part of restructuring...have you thought about the other party ? If China gives you a haircut it has to give other BRI participants. If it does that it will have to accept big credit losses. China is not a rich country per capita, even though its richer than South Asia. Ordinary Chinese work hard and save a lot, unlike say many in the west. Can you imagine how their govt will look in front of their people. They will lose face. That's why they are delaying. They didn't give Sri Lanka anything. They did take that port They might reprofile the debt but that will only kick the can down the road. Also the west has a colonial guilt that emerging countries have milked a bit to get aid and debt forgiveness but China has no such background. The challenge will be that the creditors need to coordinate to make the restructure more than a cosmetic exercise. I think there will be a restructure but small and not material

UPA did no structural, fiscal or strategic reform apart from the civil nuclear deal. UPA instead blew up all the good things that the minority govt plus ABVs NDA govt did. Javed Hasan ji need to understand that manufacturing and exports need cost effective and an efficient supply chain network. In spite of Sino - Vietnam war and tensions, Chinese chose to invest in Vietnam and other ASEAN countries because they can easily leverage the existing supply chain infrastructure. Having a Gwadar port doesn't mean Pakistan has the required infrastructure to cost effectively supply goods.
Since road transport is very expensive, India is spending INR 1,20,000 crores to build dedicated freight corridors, which is likely to complete by 2025. This corridor covers west coast (Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat a small portion of Maharastra) and the eastern corridor will have UP, Bihar and West Bengal. India needs to spend equal amount or more to develop freight corridors in rest of India. Other than Mundra and JNPT India has to enhance port infrastructure, all these projects are likely to complete by 2030, assuming no delays. We will still not have the same kind of infrastructure China currently has. India has to further invest in efficient warehouses, cold storage and fleet.
Pakistan certainly has human resources competitive advantage, in the absence of own infrastructure or regional infrastructure, scaling manufacturing for exports would become challenging.
Since India has been building infrastructure, good relations with India will help Pakistan leverage this infrastructure to improve exports

He is right that their country is rent seeking including the public. That's true in India too. Mercifully we have a government that is balancing freebies with infrastructure and structural reforms. If the opposition comes into power in India they have no viable plans apart from doling out freebies. Exhibit A is the pension handouts in Congress states for government employees who are a tiny portion of the population but huge consumers of tax payer resources.

*Pakistan needs to liberalize and open up its economy and create laws that protect foreign investors*
*Then Pakistan can bring in a lot of capital and also improve its tax revenue and create more jobs*
*If Pakistan continues to be overly conservative Iszlamic, then nobody would want to invest in Pakistan*
*Pakistan does not have the luxury that other Iszlamic nations have, which is Oil and Gas*
*Pakistan will have to protect its minorities and stop the forceful conversion of minor Hindu and Sikh girls, because these incidents send a bad message to foreign investors*

No minorities left, all killed or converted. Pappistan should take in all muzlims left behind in Hindustan and let Hindustan leave in peace and prosper

It’s about time to house in order or be ready to lose it altogether. There is no point keep borrowing and restructuring debt when govt is inept to pay it back.
I wish IMF never give leeway so corrupt system can’t get the leeway it gets.

It's crazy how Pakistan has been brought to this place cause of pure and criminal negligence by the few people in power over the years. Never-ending the cycle of taking a new loan paying the payment for old loans and repeating. The average person is bearing the most burden of this and will get worst cause of all these conditions from IMF

There is no opportunity for anyone in China not to talk about Pakistan. Anchor and guest both are talking in air. China doesn’t import finished goods.

Only way is to reduce unwanted imports, reduce expenditure including defence. Focus on education and skill development. Separate mulla intervention in govt. Otherwise no.hope.
