  • The Acura NSX is more than just a driver's car. It's more than a '90s supercar, more than a Radwood entry, more than an auction darling. The NSX was essential to the evolution of all supercars.
Honda looked at what Ferrari was building and then set out to make a car that was faster, cheaper, and more reliable. Honda built a new factory just for the NSX project. Honda had spent decades perfecting reliability and clever design and now they had focused those abilities on the supercar. Their leader was Shigeru Uehara, an engineer with a passion for driving. After the NSX project, Uehara would go on to be in charge of the Integra Type-R and Honda S2000. The team was strong, indeed.
The resulting car was incredible. It was so good that Gordon Murray- the man who created the McLaren F1- said he used the NSX as an inspiration for the F1 because he thought it had the best chassis of all the supercars on the market. He then bought an NSX and put 75,000km on it. That's quite an endorsement.
If you enjoy today's supercars that have functioning air conditioning and don't require a weekly visit to the shop, you have Honda to thank.

This masterpiece deserve to be more than 100k, Honda lost money with every car that produced like Toyota did with the great Lexus LFA
