    English lyrics:
    Come on cossacks
Wider , wider and wider your pace !
From here directly to the stars
    Wider and wider , cossacks!
    From here to the goal
To don`t get sad on his way
    Cossack have to sing
To don`t get sad on his way
    Cossack have to sing
Hej ! Come on, cossacks , get on horses
    ( Come on , cossacks , hej!)
The russians are stealing our sunflowers
    (The russians are stealing)
Come on, cossacks, get on horses
    ( Come on , cossacks , hej!)
The russians are stealing our sunflowers
    (The russians are stealing)
Near that spring , what attracted from afar
What gave water to drink for cossack , we wrote "I am" with hayforks
I won`t trown spades on heads of them
We will fire only like that , to don`t frighten off our target
We will retake own , we are taking , all is still ahead
I hope , we will push them back through coast in any case
And The Sun will be with us
And skies will be like concert
    To fireworks rapidly
    (Fly we )
To don`t get sad on his way
    Cossack have to sing
Hej ! Come on, cossacks , get on horses
    ( Come on , cossacks , hej!)
The russians are stealing our sunflowers
    (The russians are stealing)
Hej ! Come on, cossacks , get on horses
    ( Come on , cossacks , hej!)
The russians are stealing our sunflowers
    (The russians are stealing)
Cossacks are going form Syan to Don
Cossacks are bringing a victory to home
Cossacks will be in heart , for all time
Cossacks live in each of us!
Cossacks are going form Syan to Don
Cossacks are bringing a victory to home
Cossacks will be in heart , for all time
Cossacks live in each of us!

@@ReactionsbyD Cossacks are a category of Ukrainians who were in the military. They had their own military way of life. They had their capital. Which has been changing its place for several centuries. One of them is the island "Khortytsia" on the Dnipro River, opposite the modern city of Zaporizhzhia. The name "Cossack" means a free man.
modern Ukrainian military identify themselves with their military ancestors who were called "Cossacks". They were famous and respected warriors in Europe. Legendary warriors. Cossacks, as the ancestors of Ukrainians, often fought against the Muscovite Empire and the Russian Empire, which for many centuries tried to conquer the territory of Ukraine.
The history of Ukraine originates from an ancient state with its capital in Kyiv - "RUS" (not to be confused with "Russia", these are different things). "Rus" had the same coat of arms as today's Ukraine - "trident".
"Rus" existed before the Mongol-Tatar invasion (Golden Horde). Further, "Rus" under the name "Principality of Rus" is included in the federation under the name "Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Russia and Zhymoytske". THIS was a direct competitor of the "Moscow Empire" at that time in that area of Europe. The Muscovite prince always wanted to conquer Kyiv, as the capital of ancient "Russia", in order to get his "lineage" from Kyiv.
Later, when this federation disintegrated, the ancestors of Ukrainians formed states called "Hetmanship" and "Zaporizhsky Army".
Then, from the 17th century, Ukrainians became enslaved and divided between Poland and the Russian Empire. Ukrainians live under occupation. When the "Russian Empire" was destroyed, Ukrainians formed their own national state "Ukrainian People's Republic" in 1918, which was destroyed by Bolshevik "Russia" in 1922 with terror and blood.
Next, the Ukrainians were forced into the Soviet Union against their will. Throughout the time of the Soviet Union, most of the republics and peoples that were part of the Soviet Union were there against their will. The Russian Bolsheviks in 1918-1922 killed many Ukrainians in order to seize Kyiv and impose communist rule.
History of Ukraine and Russia, briefly.
Ukraine has its origins in the ancient state "Rus", the capital of which - Kyiv, was already known in 430 AD.
The history of "Russia" originates from the "Principality of Moscow", which was formed around 1200-1300. One of the sons of the Prince of Kyiv, whose mother was a Mongol-Tatar, sat on the throne. In the 15th century, it was renamed "Moscow Kingdom".
The population of the "Moscow Kingdom" is local NOT Slavic, but Finno-Ugric tribes: Merya, Moksha, Meshera, Vesya, Erzyany.
The population of "Rus" (ancestors of Ukrainians) are Slavic tribes: what modern scientists call - "glades", "Drevlians", "Northerners", "Volhynians" (all of them called themselves "Rusyns").
That is, there was ONE indigenous people on the territory of "Russia". And now on the territory of Ukraine there is ONE people, "Rusyns" (Ukrainians), and the second indigenous people, the Crimean Tatars in Crimea.

Hey man! I can tell by your accent (Im pretty sure) you are a fellow NYer. Maybe Jersey? Anyways, I have totally fallen in love with Kalush Orchestra also! And starting to really dig Skofka too. I had to laugh when you said, I have no Idea what they are saying, but I just love them. I can't explain it". I feel/felt the same way. For starters, they are just an amazing group of young men. Not just talented, but genuinely kind, respectful, generous, decent and caring human beings. I dont know if you know this, but they were in NY back in October. And Philly before that. It's where I got to know them and learn what great people they are. I am determined to learn the language. I was hoping to be able to at least make small talk the next time I saw them. But I'm not sure there will be enough time now as they are coming back in March. Nothing confirmed yet in the tri-state area. So far the closest show is in Cleveland. But I cant imagine they wont add at least one NY venue. I mean, Musicians rarely travel half way around the globe to perform in the US with having NY somewhere on the schedule.
You should definitely get yourself to a show and see them perform live. Lastly.....learning the language is hard....really hard, but I suggest you learn their alphabet. Much easier and you will be able to pronounce the titles, even if you dont know what they mean. That part is pretty easy. Hope to see you at one of their shows one day. Since my (Grateful) Dead and Company has announced their final tour, and it sold out in less than an hour everywhere, I guess these boys are my new group. If they come around, I'll be there!

even if you learn the ukrainian language, you still won’t understand what they are singing about, I don’t mean the meaning, but the reprimand, not even all ukrainians understand from the first listening). If this is not a temporary inspiration, but a sincere positive, I wish you good luck, but keep in mind that ukrainian is a very difficult language to master, and most importantly, to speak, I think you heard that we are testing russian deversants with our words, they cannot pronounce them)
