i just loved this whole thing, all the negative stuff going on in the world, bad day at work, weather is awful and some one, or maybe more than one put all this lovely effort in just to share with others. made me do the happy smile face.
A lot of excellent ideas here and I'm glad to see that they actually showed how to use some of the herbs and other practical ideas to clean, save and preserve items.
There are some seriously cute ideas here BUT have any of the people who make these videos ever seen a fully mature basil plant, or tomato plant? Seriously? I cook a lot of Italian meals and can't come close to using the amount necessary to keep my basil plants from getting huge. They live outdoors with rest of the jungle and certainly not on a wall. Then there are the tomato plants, whether they produce Cherry Tomatoes or Beefsteak Tomatoes, they are going to get at least 3' tall, or 4' or 5 '. That is why we have tomato cages, which we also turn into Christmas Trees, but that's another video, at least I think; haven't finished watching this one yet. Who knows what clever ideas might pop up here.
Yesss. Some of the herbs in the first one can grow really big, putting them all in the same tiny space would only limit them instead of being convenient for the kitchen.
Misleading title. It's just 25 ways to do things complicated way. Why not just make whole bench since you already made 70% of it and put two pots beside it?! Someone is gonna get injured unless pots are made of reinforced concrete. Please don't do it
Yeah, just being outdoors, with weather changes and the weight of water and soil in them, is enough stress on the pots. I really cringed when everyone sat down on the pots. Put some legs on that bench!!! Glazed ceramic pots like that are expensive; why ruin them? And, for that matter, why hide them? If you're gonna mostly hide the pots with the bench anyway, then use cheaper pots.
Eva Akhtar I'm not sure when disagreement became "hate". You say, "they probably know this and will change it off camera," -- well, that would mean they're knowingly misleading their audience to make a mistake that will cost them hundreds of dollars. That would be unethical. There are lots of fun, creative ideas in this video. But since they claim these are the "best" ideas, it's important to point out the bad ideas for the sake of being a good neighbour to someone who's watching. You seem to want to protect the makers of this video from any criticism -- but why? What harm is it going to do them for me to disagree with them? Whereas following their advice could do a lot of harm. I'm more concerned that someone doesn't waste hundreds of dollars, and maybe fall off the bench when the pots crack, than to protect the sensitive feelings of the person who had the wild, impractical, and expensive idea of building a heavy bench on some pots.
Goodness gracious! Who made this video!?!? IT'S PROFOUNDLY BRILLIANT! This already made my day! Thank you to whomever made this & also decided to share. Incredibly grateful for your work and ideas. We definitely need more people like you in the world. THANK YOU SINCERELY!
Has LIMITED space, stacks up pots, ends up with limited space in the pots, fills the limited space with ornaments. FML! These kind of people and their logic is what drives me crazy everyday. 😒
Thank you for the herb presentation. It didn't take forever to watch it. Also your tip on the photo album seed holder. I definitely will use some of your tips. 🍒🍒🍒
Wow that garden journal is so nice, I tried making one but mine really came out awful. Still need to work on it. I guess maybe put the things I really know about in it.
4:10 Instead of painting the WHOLE tire.. cut tire in half. Stand it up the way it would be on a car & cut towards the floor. Then youll have 2 doggie beds instead of just 1!!! one for the living room and the other for the bedroom٫ bathroom- my beardie likes sitting in the bathroom w/me٫ hes a weirdo- or garage if you want. I may make one for Spike for when I'm outside in the summer٫ he'll know thats HIS relaxing/sunbathing spot! can also work as a "stay" item. [i.e.] you have a fam gathering + need the animals to be well behaved. Train with a whistle٫ treats + lots of praise! 🐶🐱🐰
Adore the three-tiered terracotta pots~ but I'd just add the plants & no extra decoration. Very inexpensive, tho!! I'd also seal the pots with a safe outdoor sealer... They break so easily from water intake. Paint isn't even enough, BTDT, lol.
I used a strip of fabric, a foam wreath form and twine for mine. I hope it works! I planted seeds in it. I played it on a lid from a 5 gallon pale. So far the water is well contained.
I used most of these in my dorm room at my collage, now people call me "The Fairy Garden" or just Fairy for short. I wouldn't use the tire one mainly because it will kill your plants within days (I had my Mint leaves in there and it died from the tire that I JUST bought). But I would still use some of these DIYS because they are safe for the plants.
This good when have your own residence; but if renting 1 room from a big house the owner won't allow you've though placed in pot cuz says destroys the sceneries. You have such nice ideas that gives gardeners especially good exercise; but this tires scents kills some plants but good 4 some animals couldn't bear the odor. Actually, some what you do does them when viewers was living way back home in some Asian countries. Thanks 4 your specified demonstrations & those that helps you materialize this clear screen video be seen.
Someone please create that journal and make template pages available online for us non-artsy types? It's so cute and such a great idea to plan and keep gardening tasks organized. Please, pretty please?
Very cool Vid!! All these other haters really only came here wanting to complain about something. Sheesh the internet nowadays, so toxic. I'll be implementing a few of these ideas in and around the garden. PS loved the extra ideas, besides gardening, was like a little bonus ;)
Uh... plant pots aren’t built to support the weight of a person, let alone a bench full of people. If you’re going to do that, just make sure you get a proper pot that can actually support weight like that.
I agree. Or add legs to the bench! Pots like that are really expensive, so it's not really much of a "hack" to put a garden bench on top and stress the pots even more than the weather/moisture changes and weight of the soil already will! Looks like a waste of good pots to me.
I'm not sure how that vertical pallet garden is made. it was really fast and a lot of black was used so I didn't know what I was seeing. is the entire pallet filled with soil in between the fabric?
It's rubber sheeting not fabric. And yes. The pallet is basically filled/wrapped with rubber then filled with dirt and sealed at the top. Then you cut slots to insert plants.
Back in February (2019) I got an English Lavander plant (I LOOOOOVE LAVANDER) that was REALLY healthy. However, a month ago, it died! I watered it twice a week and I gave it PLENTY of sun! Any theories on how it could have died???
haleybrooke did you plant it in the ground? I love a potted plant, but unfortunately, they don’t want to be confined. Try planting it in the ground and it should thrive (mine has!!)
Yeah, a great way to destroy $50 glazed pots. Would be a lot cheaper and safer to add some legs to the bench so that the pots aren't taking any of the weight.
I think you have genius ideas but i feel like you must do work cleaner for example with outlining the tools it makes me feel troubled and irritaded but maybe im the only one.. oeeh and i`m in love with your journal
Y'all got be over exiced my eyes bout to pop out my head a lot of ideals I wish I would have did the garden bed how y'all did I think I'm gone add on thanks and God bless.
I watched the whole video and it had a lot of unique ideas for gardening in general. It is nice not being an extremely whiny person with an attention span shorter than a sound bite on the news.
I like how you "blink" yr fists to make the glovers pop on, reminds me of when my pops would show me this really old tv show called bewitched, apparently a popular show during the time of the ancients
@hack number one, while some of those are shade tolerant it is my understanding that some of those are not and indoors will be more difficult for them.
YUP. They already have a limited life if they're out in all weathers, with the weight of soil and water in them, the change in humidity which will eventually lead them to wear out and crack. Why on earth would you add stress on those pots? If you want them in a bench, then make the bench self-supporting, PLEASE!
Damn it 😂 I thought hmmm out of all these, the stacking pots would be the one actually good to do. Because the rest, don't look like it is actually the right thing to do. It lost me at using masonry drill on wood.
The young lady who showed the garden journal is amazing! What a talented printer , writer, drawer and all free hand !! ❤

Thats exactly what I thought! Thanks for bringing that valid point.
I was just thinking that. My cherry tomato plants grew almost my height last year. It doesn't make sense to plant then in such a small area.
@Charlotte Innoecent woah, who could have guessed people that grow tomatoes live mostly in the tropics???
@@lucimaralves490 I mean I live in Canada and I grow relatively thriving cherry tomatoes.
Yesss. Some of the herbs in the first one can grow really big, putting them all in the same tiny space would only limit them instead of being convenient for the kitchen.
Please don't hang that wreath over your stove or anywhere where it'll be exposed to a ton of heat!

too much weight for those pots and yes very expensive pots

@@linhfphung7867 Because tires release carcinogenic gases

Super
Awesome idea cheer up the drab dorm rooms! 😁 Started growing a few flowers after getting some Poinsettias for Christmas one year.
That bench was cool ..😍. But I would rather keep planters on it .. won't take the risk of sitting...
why do it simply
here it is difficult

Ah yes. A dog. My favorite plant.

For the tire one you could also put blankets then cushion and use it as a seat
I love all the great ideas and think I will start a garden journal to document all my ideas at least. Thanks for sharing😊👍❤.
yup that would be a good idea. i have a journal ready to be filled up.
