    There are some seriously cute ideas here BUT have any of the people who make these videos ever seen a fully mature basil plant, or tomato plant? Seriously? I cook a lot of Italian meals and can't come close to using the amount necessary to keep my basil plants from getting huge. They live outdoors with rest of the jungle and certainly not on a wall. Then there are the tomato plants, whether they produce Cherry Tomatoes or Beefsteak Tomatoes, they are going to get at least 3' tall, or 4' or 5 '. That is why we have tomato cages, which we also turn into Christmas Trees, but that's another video, at least I think; haven't finished watching this one yet. Who knows what clever ideas might pop up here.

      Yesss. Some of the herbs in the first one can grow really big, putting them all in the same tiny space would only limit them instead of being convenient for the kitchen.

    Misleading title. It's just 25 ways to do things complicated way. Why not just make whole bench since you already made 70% of it and put two pots beside it?! Someone is gonna get injured unless pots are made of reinforced concrete. Please don't do it

    • @ayishas4385
      @ayishas4385 4 роки тому +5

      Yeah, just being outdoors, with weather changes and the weight of water and soil in them, is enough stress on the pots. I really cringed when everyone sat down on the pots. Put some legs on that bench!!! Glazed ceramic pots like that are expensive; why ruin them? And, for that matter, why hide them? If you're gonna mostly hide the pots with the bench anyway, then use cheaper pots.

    • @ayishas4385
      @ayishas4385 4 роки тому +10

       Eva Akhtar I'm not sure when disagreement became "hate".
      You say, "they probably know this and will change it off camera," -- well, that would mean they're knowingly misleading their audience to make a mistake that will cost them hundreds of dollars. That would be unethical.
      There are lots of fun, creative ideas in this video. But since they claim these are the "best" ideas, it's important to point out the bad ideas for the sake of being a good neighbour to someone who's watching.
      You seem to want to protect the makers of this video from any criticism -- but why? What harm is it going to do them for me to disagree with them? Whereas following their advice could do a lot of harm. I'm more concerned that someone doesn't waste hundreds of dollars, and maybe fall off the bench when the pots crack, than to protect the sensitive feelings of the person who had the wild, impractical, and expensive idea of building a heavy bench on some pots.

    Instead of painting the WHOLE tire.. cut tire in half. Stand it up the way it would be on a car & cut towards the floor. Then youll have 2 doggie beds instead of just 1!!! one for the living room and the other for the bedroom٫ bathroom- my beardie likes sitting in the bathroom w/me٫ hes a weirdo- or garage if you want.
    I may make one for Spike for when I'm outside in the summer٫ he'll know thats HIS relaxing/sunbathing spot! can also work as a "stay" item. [i.e.] you have a fam gathering + need the animals to be well behaved. Train with a whistle٫ treats + lots of praise! 🐶🐱🐰

    I used most of these in my dorm room at my collage, now people call me "The Fairy Garden" or just Fairy for short. I wouldn't use the tire one mainly because it will kill your plants within days (I had my Mint leaves in there and it died from the tire that I JUST bought). But I would still use some of these DIYS because they are safe for the plants.

    • @ayishas4385
      @ayishas4385 4 роки тому

      I agree. Or add legs to the bench! Pots like that are really expensive, so it's not really much of a "hack" to put a garden bench on top and stress the pots even more than the weather/moisture changes and weight of the soil already will! Looks like a waste of good pots to me.
