It costs you so much less for so much valuable things. However, I need to remind you that you should move all the empty containers to where they supposed to be before filing them with soil etc.. That saves your energy and muscle for longer lasting service 😉

i love your ideas but one problem -- you planted those rootbound lantanas straight into the soil - never loosened the roots or pulled them from their circular habit into a looser one. i think it's important when in front of people who may or may not be veterans in gardening, totake every opportunity for that proverbial 'teaching moment.' otherwise i love your ideas - thank you
I live in the tropics ....so using garden scraps in the pots creates a haven for all types of soil pests...we have to use chemicals to rid pests in soil which kills plants easily. As well as old leaves etc also breed fungi which can kill plants. It is expensive to grow plants in the tropics.

I use my kitchen scrap leaves from garden on the bottom of all my pots . And during the summer burry my eggshell in the pots for add food😊
