Good to know 😃 Do they color swatch their labels with the actual inks or are they printed? After watching lots of videos looking for ideas they said the colors were off on several of the labels. This way I don’t have to pull out my swatch book 😃

I am poor and I went to the Dollar Store and got the 14 small crates and cloths pins. Already have the paint and glue, also a small 4X4 lazy Susan. and 5 of those inks fit in each crate. You tube tutorial: Dollar Tree DIY Amazing Ink Pads Storage" by Faithful Designs By Christy. My Oxides are in a White/Teal tower, the Inks are in a Black/Tan tower. Look awesome and Stack up and you don't need to take the stack out, they are separated and one can be taken out without others coming out. Also with Velcro you can stick the pads next to them ready to go.

I am poor too. That unit she bought is twice the price in Canada @$44.00. So am going to make that storage unit you mentioned. I saw that video also and love it. The only idea I would do is to tape a full sheet of plastic at the top over the sticky pads to keep the dust off. Then just flip it up to take off the pad..
Hi, love your ink pad storage! It is beautiful! I just use regular clear tape to cover the ink and so far so good. I also store mine upside down even though Tim says that is not necessary. Tfs. Have a great day!
Thank you for letting us know about this system. It blends in perfectly with the system from ctmh. I have my new ink pads stacked on the carousel base as I only have a tiny space & by using the carousel I can turn it around to get to the rest of my inks. All my original inks are still in the ctmh box I bought at the beginning 10 years ago which I actually prefer to be honest as it keeps the dust out & is easy to pick up & carry. My oxide inks are in a case my grandson was throwing out but I need a new system as I have just about outgrown the case which came with two microphones in it originally, so it isn't large but it is beautifully crafted. I recently had to take my distress oxide inks out of the case & put them into an icecream container as a temporary measure!! 🤣 I can see that I am going to have to reshuffle some things so that I can add this new shelving system to my room.

This is a great video, thanks for some great ideals with storage and labelling, however i have tried the 'dome' shape blending sponge and you have to really push it into the space which isn't ideal so i would use the flat blending foams as you mentioned. They make the ink pad a lot more flat for storing. 🙂
I’ve owned my Distress inks and Oxides since they came out. My paper labels are very, very worn. I highly recommend you laminate them somehow. I’m trying to figure out how to remove the old labels so that I can remake them. It’s kind of a mess trying to get them off.
I was popping on to say try the same thing. There are lots of adhesive removers but maybe test it in an inconspicuous are to make sure it doesn’t negatively affect the plastic. I will definitely put the tape over mine. I hope I don’t regret doing all four sides of the ink pad 😂
Would you recommend putting the Distress Micro Glaze over the oxide ink to seal it? How are the swatches holding up? Your idea is brilliant and I already ordered the labels to do this!
That is a good question but unfortunately I do not have an answer for you as I have not tried the micro glaze. I have been using clear label tape to protect them. I wish Ranger would sell them with the labels already on 😊

Hi Gail, these were labels I bought on amazon and then followed the manufacture's instructions to print the them. I had heard feedback from a few others who had difficulty getting them to print correctly. Now there are better options available where you can print out the labels already colored. That is a great question. Most companies make holders for their own ink pads. There may be some out there more universal than others but I don’t know what that would be. I always recommend you find an ink pad you like and collect the colors from that line.

Ranger sells the labels that fit the oxide, inks and paints.
You can use a gel plate and brayer to ink your labels.

what do you think about covering the label's with clear embossing powder?
That is an interesting idea. Maybe test it on an old worn out ink pad to make sure the plastic can withstand the heat.

There are many different shape and size ink pads my ink pads are a different shape some of them are oval can you get storage for all types of pads ?
