A fantastic job. I’m glad we have people like Lyle and you to show us how it should be done. Kudos mate.
wow real pretty interior, decent tone pallet too.
4:27 wow! It sounds really good, couldn’t believe how much gain it has on tap past noon. Brad kept bumping it up into and past van halen territory which I was not expecting from the “tonal spectrum 😑” at lower levels. Covers a lot of territory really well, that amp. I hear some poo pooing on here but I think it all sounded dope.
Very fizzy sounding amp, but its working again! Well done. :)
Love those tones. I like how that amp is made. L
I bet it sounds juicy with the Valve rectification, at gig levels that will make it really sustain. The EQ is good . Sounds like a Hiwatt with a Rat pedal.
Looks a lot cleaner, the capacitor juice had travel a long way. 👍👍
Not as nice as the Matchless but I want one, missed one used and ended up getting a Top Hat which is the first amp that’s put my 1969 JMP 50 into a well deserved retirement.
Brad says Kuh-pill-uh Ree, I say Cap-uh-lare-ee; let's call the whole thing off! 💔😅
I started saying "Kuh-pill-uh Ree" after hearing Ted Woodford pronounce it that way. But I refuse to budge on "chassis" and will NEVER pronounce the "L" in solder!!
@@socallars3748 , Kuh-pill-uh-ree reminds me of the Shogun miniseries,, where a Japanese woman says to Richard Chamberlain's character, "you havent *pilloried* in a long time; you must be feeling very constricted!"😆
Thanks Brad ! 😊 👍
When I first saw this Bad Cat in your Repair Que a few months ago, I was really hoping it was a Player Series version . Which was another Tier of Amps, that Bad Cat added to their Line in 2016 . The Player Series Amps were a more attainable PCB based version of their Handwired Models like this one . The Lynx model has been released in 3 different Versions, to the best of my Knowledge . This was Version 1.0 .
Bad Cat released Version 2.0, the Lynx-X, when they added the K-Master to their Amp models .

Version 3 0 came out late last year, after Bad Cat had redesigned their entire line of Amps . Which included dropping their Patented K-Master from all of their Models .
Cheers ✌️ 🤙
P.S. You'll be up from $7 this month to $8.39 . 😉 LOL 🤣

Wow, thanks for the info, mate.
I'm often too busy fixing the bloody things to look into the history etc.
Sounds OK to me for lead lines, but on chords it sounds a bit buzzy and squarewavey, more like a Rat pedal; not a lot of differentiation between the notes in a chord. Good for metal, I guess, but not really my cup of tea.
This is an old LYNX. The new LYNX has a lot more gain. It chugs.
Really? I was surprised how metal this one is even!
@@BradsGuitarGarage Try a TS808 or Boss SD-1 in front of it.
Surprisingly grumpy amp LOL
A great sounding amp. Too bad that the schematic is like hen's teeth.
No Thanks
