Gary popped up on my radar just before his big boys selection to Leinster and Ireland. He definitely has the O'Driscoll, O'Gara, Sexton type of potential about him.
Epic...BOD would have been proud of that pick up and pass...Ringrose is the full deck. Best centre in NH by a country mile at the moment.

That pick up and pass from Ringrose for the Keenan try was just epic...BOD would have been proud of that 👍😁💪 especially in the 73rd minute after covering every blade of grass and tackling his heart out. To see nobody home in the Racing back field and poke a kick and chase, pick a bobbling rugby ball off the deck and a sublime pass. We all thought the likes of BOD would never be seen again...and the wonder kid step up and takes the biscuit 😁🍪
Ah easy now Kevin...he's 27 or 28 years old..far from a kid now but he is playing very well. He didn't make the last Lions tour and rightly so imo. He has a long way to go to be even mentioned in the same company as BOD

Proper test for Leinster there and again the same worries cropping up in the lineout and scrum, but to overcome that and finish the way they did was outstanding. They badly need a few bodies back for the knockouts but a great win.

Racing is not doing great this season in the top 14. The real test will be when they're gonna face Toulouse, La Rochelle, Stormers, Sharks, Sarracens...
@@olivier-3089 I get you, but at the same time some people are saying Leinster haven’t been tested at all in 16 games in both competitions. Racing put it up to them today.

Poor Garry got fairly nobbled with a no arms tackle in the act of scoring his try. Foul play over the try line never seems to warrant officials attention.

Watched this earlier lenister are getting better played ok today but winning when not playing at there best is just amazing and the french defending brillently dan sheehan is an amazing sight going forward world class
Leinster are just indestructible, every game even when it’s tight enough they dig in and grind out the win, great team
Same was said this time last year and they ended up winning nothing.
They looked pretty destructible for the first 60 minutes; not their finest day - yet still they won. Final scoreline a bit misleading. 😊

@@finnfitzgerald2499 it is a bit disappointing that Leinster is basically and Ireland XV and then a few on Munster and ulster but none on Connacht, which is why we have struggled so much

Despite the score line, Leinster haven’t solved their problem from the last 2 years - if they don’t get clean/quick ball from the scrum and ruck their midfield’s passing and alignment can’t adjust to the uncertainty and they get smashed down blind alleys. For an example in the vein I am talking about - look at time point 3.27 in this video. A bunch of Leinster guys just standing around behind the gain line, nobody calling any shape and Osborne panicking and taking a ‘nothing’ play, cutting back inside and flopping over in the tackle. Nobody following off his shoulder for the pass. La Rochelle, for example, will be primed once again by O’Gara to jackal the hell out of these situations and turn the ball over.

Very valid point. I have seen nothing yet this season to suggest that we will not be left with another bloody nose unfortunately. The big guns are waiting in the long grass and they have the ability to unhinge us just like Racing did for large parts of the first half. Leinster can't handle a team that gives them a bloody nose from the get go and proceeds to continually disrupt their game plan. Oh how I dearly hope they prove me wrong 🤞🤞

When you see them all chatting among themselves, laughing, happy, you’re looking at a Leinster team that is completely confident as a group and individually with total trust in each other. They at the moment are nearly impossible to beat. It’ll take a supreme coaching and playing effort, like Ronan O’Gara with his La Rochelle team last year, to beat Leinster again this year. The only problem that Leinster have this year is with their front row second choice backup players. Could that be their undoing? We’ll know by May 2023.

@@onskyk The only problem is it looked like that last year for long stretches as well. They have been immense this season but one off day in the knockout rounds is all it takes for it to go up in smoke. If they solidify the scrum they will win it. La Rochelle, the stormers, Saracens and Toulouse are capable of winning it too. After last year until the trophies are actually in Leinster’s hands they won’t be celebrating.

Wade has done interview after interview recently suggesting that he is one of the unrecognised greats, somee media types have been hypeing him massively.. but he remains distinctly average in his performances.

@@dubmait As did Russell. Never saw so many missed kicks in a HC game. I thought Ross was good enough, made a few errors but if we start rotating 10's at this stage then we may as well not go to France this year. Farrell and Co need to settle this now and give maximum game time to reserve out half's. Maybe not even have JS start any game and put some faith in the next generation. Think of the impact of being able to bring on Sexton to close out a game. . . .

@@dubmait Given his performance on the day, fair enough, not good. I think IRFU need to back him fully for France 23 and not throw him under the bus, as has been their way for decades now. People talk about the gulf in class between Johnny and Ross. That gulf is even greater between Ross and the next 5 contenders. And that's the real worry for me.

very sloppy first half but the way they were able to blow racing away in a really short space of time was very impressive, very bad day for the kickers also highlights wont show that. Byrne 2/4 and racing 0/3
Yeah, the field goal kicking was pretty dire considering that Russell and Byrne are 2 of the better kickers in ERC. Donal Lenihan, during commentary, expressed surprise at this saying that the conditions must have played a part. Didn't seem to be any wind or rain visible.

Racing didn’t have the conviction Leinster had, missed tackles etc
I see the cheating Leinster scrum half, as usual, appealing for goodness knows what before the first Racing try, in front of his home crowd, hoping to get them to influence the referee. Taught by Peter Stringer, who used to do it all the time for Munster, and when he retired Munster started getting beaten.
It is SO difficult to beat Leinster at home, because of this.

@@PB22559 and so did all the other Irish, English, Welsh, Scottish and French teams bar one.
@@aidanmasterson50 Two saffer teams made the URC final last year- the first time they ever played in the competition and now those saffer teams are in the Heineken cup too.
Gone are the days of easy URC titles and Heineken cups will be harder to come by too.
