Great insights, Mad Capper. Without whales and spenders, the bills don't get paid! If you can't afford to spend money, then F2P. However, those who can afford to spend but want to complain because they want everything just as fast as spending money would.
I think you're final point is a really interesting one and it's one i hadn't considered. The people who are buying the battle pass and reupping on energy refills on the weekend so they can play longer, or buying a handful of shards to complete the fusions, etc. They are steady, reliable income.
Every game has Whales and some have some Krakens. Raid has a lot of both, but it also has a massive middle and a fairly large f2p base too. I agree to "let Whales be Whales" but have "some" modes (PvP) that it's about skill and no matter how much money you throw at the game, you'll only win if you have the skill to match your wallet. I do believe Simon, and Sham have already stated that they want this and are building it into parts of the PvP (arena) element of the game from launch. PvE content makes no difference to anyone whether you are f2p or Kraken, you are competing with no one except the game itself. The only difference is the speed you complete certain content, or reach end game. It's just when you get there, not if you get there. As long as there is a place for f2p, low, mid, high, Whale, and Kraken alike can compete in a mode that has "value" on an even playing field, then having 10 modes that are Whale, and Kraken only playgrounds doesn't matter at all. Let them have at it and go ham imo. One way of doing this is to have tiered content. Events, Tournaments, and competitions geared towards every level and type in the game. Early game players not matched with mid or end gamers. f2p having their own pools to swim in. Krakens only facing other Krakens. If a Kraken wants to pay to win at the start, lets see who does exactly have the best of the best bank accounts, or are you really only after slapping the Whales around, and gobbling up the small fry. Put your money where your mouth is lol.
Ok so if I am hearing right, high prices, pay to win, don’t listen to community, better visuals and 1hr play time. Then spam ads at everyone humanly possible. Check
Word of mouth is already out there. HH has been a CC for a long time. He has a channel devoted to God Forge. The player base is sick and tired of Plarium's antics. They will be trying God Forge. If GF avoids the pitfalls of a greedy company like Plarium, it will be successful. P.S. Yes a company needs to make money. No duh. Plarium takes their greed to the nth level.
Demo, looks like a copy of Raid and not a great copy of Raid. It needs to look more like Dragonheir and have it's own unigueness to it. Will it fail, no. ACE and IMR are still going, these games seem to never die.
Gonna get blasted for your "Let whales be whales take", and I'm not quite sure what you mean cause you didn't really go into it past "different modes". However, I think there is something to be said for having 'whale bait'. The issue is when new content is created to challenge high spenders, if there is a massive gap between sections of the player base, which is an awful experience.

Haha nailed it!
As long as they were just peasants you were sacrificing, it's all good 👍
They weren't just any old peasants. They were f2p peasants
