@@aethy1x406 drake just tries to get an album out every year instead of actually perfecting his albums. kendrick wins album of the year almost every time he drops an album. so tell me how drake has better albums💀
This Album cemented Drake as THAT GUY in the game. The first one was a bit shaky but this album showed that he was here to stay, and stay at the top at that.
It introduced a lot of people (at least me and my friends at the time) to Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd and also exposed some kids to the great Andre 3000.
It had one of the most influential songs of the 2010s in Marvin's Room. And probably the most honest and vulnerable Drake song ever in "Look What You've Done" (there is an argument 'March 14' as well)
The idea that a rapper can sing & be accepted. Thats what this album did. Kanye & Bone Thugs did it to a certain degree, but noone was doing ballads like this
Take care will forever be in my top 3 drake albums of all time. And its timeless too , i was 14/15 when the album came out , now im 26 and alot of these songs i can definitely relate too personally . Drake is forever the Goat .
After watching your dad’s reaction to Marvin’s room I can tell he relates to a lot to that song, and joking about it to not show too much emotion. Love watching you two react to it
His reaction to Marvin Room killed me 🤣 the fact that song means so much to us and he wasn't feeling it at all, made me laugh so hard. I felt roast 🤣🤣🤣❤️
W pops!! A lot of OG’s would hear this album & be like ahhh soft… but pops was actually digesting the album how we all did for the most part which was mad tight. Respect to you both!
“Lord Knows makes you wanna run through a wall” 😂😂 allllll facts, I’m loving that y’all are getting into my man. It’s great to see someone’s fresh reaction to this album. One of his best but not the best, I agree with you. Please keep going 🙏🏾❤
Over My Dead Body always gives me such nostalgia and takes me back to the good old days 😩🥲 I love watching your videos. You guys are awesome! Keep them coming 😁
Just picked up the vinyl of this masterpiece. It’s got so many of my favorite Drake songs over my dead body, hyfr, headlines, make me proud, take care, underground kings. I’m glad your dad loved this album! You guys need to react to “if you’re reading this it’s too late”
Let’s go!!!! I had commented on your last video about reacting to this album. Very excited to see what your dad thinks of it. Have a great day both of you!
Your dad listening to THE WEEKND would be nice. Especially if you describe hes like a darker hurt version of michael jackson especially the voice. That was what sold me on WEEKND when he first came out and also my dad
Weekend and drake aren't cool anymore lol. So that aint gonna happen. If they do patch things and he makes a take care pt 2. That needs to be his final album. Past albums he has been making have been ehh
this album takes me back to college for sure, also little side note Drake's dad Dennis Graham used to be a drummer in a jazz/funk band forgot which one but he was a jazz musician so he did his fair share of touring in his day.
I’d love to see y’all react to Views or Scorpion next. I love seeing a son put his pops on to his favorite albums. You should have pops do the same for you as well every once in a while. 💪🏽
This album grew on me didn't enjoy it at 1st but listened to it during last year of the high school this album you listen to when you're depressed or during a break up
Lmao your dads reaction to marvins room was hella ruthless 💀. Fr tho love your guys reaction, appreciate how you guys actually break down the lyrics and catch on to most flow patterns. I know I’m just another comment but you guys should definitely consider running “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” or any Joey Badass album
this is my fav drake album! ooh the memories! 🤯loved your dad reaction as always! keep it up brother! P.S. you should show your dad "house of balloons" from the weekend. its before all the fame and he sounds really great!
56:58 pops caught a glimpse of Drake's ability...but he talked over the very next, very powerful bar 59:55 please....please show your dad Maybach Music 3
this shit is so classic, “But I might talk that real if you ask me what I care about. Rap and bitches, rap and bitches, bitches and rappin' Rappin' and bitches until all of it switches, I swear” is such a fucking funny line
The Weeknd only made 5 of these songs. The were fantastic, but I don’t think it’s fair to say he made most of the songs. He got writing and production credits on 5 songs and was featured on 2 of them. Kudos to him for his contribution to the album
Saying he "made" them also isn't the right term to use. He co-wrote them, yes he came up with the initial form of the songs but without Drake those tracks wouldn't be the same as the final product. That's why it was a collaborative work. The same way Drake came up with "I'm Single" by Wayne, then gave him the song with the hook and first verse and Wayne added two more verses and finished the song. "Crew Love" and "The Ride" would not have Drake's verses. I'm sure Drake must've done some minor changes to "Shot for Me" and "Practice" as well, including the rapping bit of course. The other one is "Good Ones Go" but The Weeknd just did the background vocals, it wasn't his song.
Woah woah, I can't let the Drake take care writing disrespect start, the Weeknd was involved on 4 songs, the 2 he featured on, and 2 songs, Drake and the weeknd CO-wrote on. There's like 20 songs on the album. Drake said so himself,.on an IG comment
The second verse of Look What You’ve Done is about his Uncle not his Aunt, that’s why his Grandma says she’s sitting here with her son, Drake’s Uncle who help raise him a lot
When Kendrick said, Drake had no classics he couldn’t be more wrong because this is the definition of a ***classic***
No matter how much insult he receives, Drake will always be a legend. Neither Kendrick nor anyone can take that away from him.
