Epic stuff. I still think Pioline was a very fine player. It's seldom remembered that he played in two GS finals. He was unfortunate to meet Sampras in both, but against pretty much anybody else he might have won at least one. If someone does remember Pioline's GS record, they deem him a loser because he was not good enough to win at least one title. Nobody says he was good enough to reach two finals, and that's pretty good indeed. The case of Todd Martin is similar.
Pioline is the best single-backhander in history of Tennis. His technique and variation is second to none. The most powerful single-backhander Kuerten could not do anything to him. He totally demolished Kuerten's backhand by his technique. The last player Kuerten would like to play with.

u pretty much summarized everything that could have possibly said about him. great player, unfortunate to have played sampras at his peak
Apologies, had to upload again, the first video was not complete.
Pioline's single-backhand treat Kuerten's backhand like a toy. It's like a child is drawning in the river when Kuerten plays against Pioline.
Can you upload the entire Pioline-Kuerten match?
+Voo de Mar I don't wish to upload full matches, sorry.
