Seems she already change Whitney's Song name to " I will always slay you" by actions.
I absolutely love Ailee and I still listen to her early stuff to this day. But I wish she did more diverse title songs. They are undeniably good, but all of them are either about breakup, "I'm over you" or "you gonna regret leaving me" type of songs. And she deserved so much more than she's had.
Ailee, ohhh I love her voice even though I don't know anything about her. I knew Ailee through a variety show in Korea called 'Amazing Saturday' (nolto). I initially watched with the intention of watching Seulgi. In that episode, Seulgi participated in nolto with Ailee and Chuu. And the end result is that I love both that show and Ailee. I am now a loyal audience of the show, I don't need to have someone I like attending to watch. I watch every episode!
As for Ailee, I was completely captivated after her performance on the show and decided to find out who she was!

I got into KPOP in the summer of 2012 and I came across this song about 3 months later. I had only been deep diving into three groups before coming across this song. Until I found IU in 2015 she was my number 1 solo vocalist. Now she is a close second. She's originally from America and born in Colorado and raised in New Jersey. She tried hard to break into the industry here in America, but moved to Korea in 2010. Last I knew she was married and lives in British Columbia when not working. She had a real struggle when changing companies later and I haven't liked her newer stuff under the new company. I hope in your 12 songs you do Reminiscing which is real different from most of her music as she does Skat in it.
She still didn't married, but may be next year,
she has an anouncement on 19th March this year.

wait until u get to her most recent song.. gay realness. as well as when u check out her killing voice. like her live voice has this more of a idk.. deeper? heavier? lower? sound to it. especially when she belts like the way i can explain is if her jaw drops to the floor while she belts and creates this tone. its so hot.. like she is one of the best voices in kpop. its sad shes not as popular as she should be considering her earlier songs being quite known and gave her a diva status in kpop with her songs and vocals.
Ailee has always been a soloist.
Also I agree with you on the interpretation of the video for Heaven. But I interpret the lyrics as about someone who is unhappy/depressed and falsely believes that a romantic relationship will fix them and make them happy.
