I also didn't have the A03 in because the script was written before the release of the weapon. This video was originally slated for a December 2020 release but things got moved around.
I love the lore of the company, but I'm more a Behring kinda guy. Something about the tight groupings of the P8-SC just "feels" like shooting an MP5, and the P4, while boring, it utterly reliable and punches hard. The P6 is a fantastic long range option. I.... I think I need to work for Behring marketing. LOL.
I dig these videos on weapon manufacturers and their lore.🧐 Definitely makes you appreciate the in-game weapons that much more. Tho I think Gemini's guns are cool, I prefer Behring. 😄 Awesome video Paul!
gemini is probably my favorite weapons manufacturer, I carry an S71 and a c54 and sometimes the LH86 pistol for combat. also, i got a question; is the new A03 gemini or is that Behring?
I 3D printed the pistol full scale, I'm a big fan of the weapons except when you hold the pistol in your hands the grip actually sucks. It's not comfortable in the hand. But it looks cool on screen and I guess that's all that really matters.
The art style to me is reminiscent of many of the weapons from Mass Effect, specifically the weapons from Cerberous and Alliance Manufacturers. Is there any lore on the calibers or technology of the gemini ballistic weapons. For example the rifles in Aliens were said to use 10mm caseless, some sci fi genres they used gravity or magnetics in fire arms to propel the rounds. Or is it just traditional style amunition like you have in the begining of the video as we use today?
@@TheAstroHistorian That's kind of lame. You'd think in the future they would have figured out coil guns, or a gravity generator to propel the projectile, or at the very least caseless rounds. Some sort of creative sci fi means to propel projectiles at lethal velocity instead of the archaic 1000+ year old tech. Or maybe that is the appeal of Gemini?
@@rolanders7553 The railgun in star citizen is rather large, and fires a rather large 20mm projectile. I would suggest something smaller, such as a .30 caliber round 7.62mm prjectile. Something scaled down to a small carbine or even pistol with a hire rate of fire. And yes a coil gun in concept is essentially the same as a rail gun, the big obvious difference being one uses a magnetic coil and one uses a magnetic rail.
its too bad the F55 sux so hard beceause of its spool up time. That really breaks the gun. The C54 however, is probably my 2nd favorite gun in the game, and a CQB favorite.
i get that this is a lore video, and its a great one, but the info in it does have some strange points ( i am not saying its you, i am just saying the lore has issues) , like 30m range for a pistol in 2900? the Beretta M9 has 50-100m effective range ( and that depends on the ammo and the shooter) right now, and the effective means accuracy to hit a target, not maximum penetration range, so, maybe someone needs to help out CIG on ballistic weapon ranges.... C54 35m? a Kriss Vector with 0.45 is effective up to 180m depends again on the ammo and mostly on the shooter... just saying that these ranges in the lore are way to low....
Theres nothing like a good blaster by your side but the aesthetic feel of ballistic weapons are another thing
I never knew that Gemini designs were directly Tevarin-inspired. That makes them so much cooler tbh

I really like these lore videos.
Thank You very much for making them. I’ll watch it again tomorrow when I also share it.
"The only line of defense you'll need" haha the lore team was having some fun there XD
The name Gemini still makes me think of laser weapons thanks to Mega Man.
I love these videos from you!! Though, I would've loved seeing you go all in on the alliteration of Polly's positive press 😂
You have no idea how many times I screwed up on the alliteration.
@@TheAstroHistorian I'm so here for it though!!!!
Love your lore videos Paul. Especially the fireside ones. Please never stop making them!
Ahhhh. Yesss!
Thanks! **grabbing a glass and BRB**
I have been waiting on this vid for so long!
Mostly because of the lore I now only Run Gemini weapons and they have never let me down.
thankyou for man. A really professional vid that was a pleasure to watch. CIG should just straight up use these in the game.

I watched this live, and I'm watching it again. Love your lore series.
Love these vids!! Keep up the amazing work!!!

Came back for a second watch - good stuff, Paul.
great job again, Paul
These focused lore videos are my favorite.
great Video, I wouldnt have thought that gemini is coming out of the slums, since it feels noble...

It's Gemini but released after I already wrote the script so I forgot to add it. It was also designed specifically by Clem.
Ah thats understandable, I do really like the A03 look, love the content!
Love this series!
Thank you for another great video! A full Behring episode would be cool too, any chance of that? :)
For sure once I get through the Hurston series.

All human ballistics use traditional calibers for ballistic AFAIK. c54 uses 10mm for instance. We'll know more when bullets are added in game.

@@ramonebrown5704 wouldn’t that be the railgun

This was great. are there going to be others for the rest of the manufactures
would love to see the lore of all the others weapons
awesome!!
I already like Gemeni weapons...now even more so

Nice....
The Origin of weapon manufacturers. 😊
👍
Says "Clem"...
Me: Imagines Clem as a Grineer, rather than a Tevarinn.

A pistol with a pistol grip. How novel.
This is Star Citizen we are talking about...
No A03 sniper, as this is too old. And the C54 has less ammo. Cool vid nonetheless.
I'll update it again at some point.

Those ranges are in game ranges which will likely change.
Something to keep in mind 35m ingame doesnt mean 35 in real life. the scale is different.
First!!
