SUPER well done. I lived in Kentucky for a decade and telling you this is well proper the way you did it.
Thanks for the feedback Matt, I really do love this sauce and make it a lot.
Made this sauce tonight using Bulleit bourbon and Vermont maple syrup. Came out amazing to go on some grilled pork chops. Out of this world good!!! Great recipe, thanks for sharing 😁
That looks delicious.
The glaze looks amazing on those ribs
Quality channel mate. Great lighting and audio and well produced.
The glaze looks good.
Thanks Jared and hope you give this one a go.
Great video production
Cheers Aaron - tasty sauce needs some tasty b-roll!
and another sip of Bourbon !!... lol
took all night to record this one :)
Stay hydrated 👍
Always mate, can you get Jim Beam in Japan?
@@RedSmokeBBQ Absolutely, they sell it at the supermarket 🥃I have also matured enough that I don't ruin it with coke
The second you emphasised how important it was to stay hydrated I knew this was kinda recipe for me
Haha, most important step in the process 👊
when did you add tomato sauce?
So I just made this sauce and it came out super thick like thicker then honey. I feel that isn’t correct? I’m thinking it got to hot? Can you maybe be more clear on stoves temperature control?
Hrmm possibly to hot, I run my gas stove top in the lowest setting possible. I’m not sure what temp that is but I have never had an issue with it being to thick before
@@RedSmokeBBQ I just made it as well...made a double, and it came out really good. Thanks for posting.
How long does it last in the fridge?
Hard to say because when I ask it for the family it seems to disappear overnight 🤣 I would think it would be fine in the fridge for a few weeks
Where does the ketchup come in?
Just add it into the mix with all the other ingredients on the list.
Loving your vids very well made, good info, but please for the love of all that's good in the world throw that maple FLAVOURED syrup in the bin and get some actual maple syrup. The flavoured on food products is a big red flag.
Haha fair call, had a few ppl comment on that, was working with what I already had in the cupboard. Thanks for the support though, much appreciated
This didn’t work out for me, it just turned into a hard sticky lump. Ended up dumping it in some pit beans….
That’s strange, I have done this sauce more times then I count and never had that issue. How long did you let it simmer and what heat?
@@RedSmokeBBQ i timed mine for 20 mins and came out perfect. 20 mins after it got to simmer that is...
Why not use real maple syrup instead of your fake maple flavored syrup ??
It’s what I had available in the cupboard at the time, by all means use the good stuff if you have it on hand.
Please don't use trash quality bourbon like this... Why waste the time making something if you're gonna use nasty ingredients? Either follow the quality in= quality out formula, or just buy bbq sauce...
What Bourbon would you recommend?
Maybe that’s what they like?
