- In this video I will explain disadvantages of a BMS in a Li ion Battery Pack. I will also explain how to balance charge a battery pack with a BMS. Part 2 of this video will come next week and I will show you practically how to balance charge a Li ion Battery without BMS and how to avoid over discharging the battery pack.

Mega power service:- Excellent video on your experience of BMS, I too suffered the same thing, now since from 2 months without BMS using regular cycle drive (48 volts Lithium Ion batteries) 12/13/12 in series parallel, with daily charging only 1 hr, no battery heat, No self discharge, or any other problems, wonderful assessment video, thanks, keep it up, 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Yes ! BMS is very important component for lithium battery pack which is used in various lithium ion chemistry , BMS is used to maintain battery temperature from over heating, The life is extended by using BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM,
If you need high current like 25-50amps or more definitely required BMS for support fast & slow charging or home and public charging from CCS 2 Socket and meeneke type 2.
BMS play an important role in lithium ion battery pack.
Without BMS the battery not survive at long time and risk for explosion due to over heating or fast charging .

It is my experience that cheap bms give more trouble than battery.Good quality bms of required configuration is difficult to procure.

My 17s battery pack is not charging above 69v
I have series 13s and 4s bms
There is a bit of unbalance in the cells about ± 0.05 volts
Also the bms cuts the power at only at 61 volts about 3.56 per cell

Battery life ke liye thodi bahut gyan to lena padega. Nahin to use and throw karna padega battery pack ko.
