You can tell there’s no soul and love put into this game. It’s a generic mobile game with a PVZ mask on. Everything that made PVZ so loved is thrown out of the window.
PvZ 3 is not made for the PvZ community it’s made for the mobile community it’s a pretty ass decision

The problem with this game is when there's no crowd control you fold so easily, there just seems to be nothing you can do. Like how are cabbage pults expected to take out pidgeons and zombies? While getting no sky sun and costing 4.... It's pure garbage

Even with arena, you dont need to spend money, if you re-invest prizes for more gauntlets, use free plays effectively, and/or watch ads, you can easily get first in every tournament. Including platinum league.(speaking from experience btw)
It's sad to see that this is last pvz video we see on the channe, but i don't blame you. The game's "progression" system is genuinely disappointing, and there is no variety of strategic combinations of plants you can use like how it works in pvz1&2.
This franchise really fell off thanks to the ridiculous amount of things getting behind a bunch of paywalls. But even if this isn't the last pvz vid we see, keep up the great content Matt🙌
Really liked this series in the beginning, but seeing how much you are struggling with the levels and how slow the game is progressing, I think you should move on to a better game. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these videos ❤

In pvz 2 the buying stuff is there but it’s not intrusive, if you are playing arena you don’t have to spend a dime to dominate adventure mode.

Duck Life started as a joke in the channel, but I feel that duck life 9 is going to be a great game with a lot to do and a lot of exploration. Since the demo has that much content, I would assume the full game will be the biggest duck life game yet and in 3D. Unlike PvZ3 that feels the smallest in the whole series, a literal downgrade.
There's a 9th game? I only remember there being 4 and those space ones (1 normal and the other like an rpg).

As I’m posting this I beat the final level.
As someone who beat all 230 levels WITHOUT boosts let me tell you it’s insanely unfair. I would spend hours playing a single level just hoping ZRNG would spare me. I won’t spoil the story but in my honest opinion it’s a mixed bag. Invention graveyard is pretty cool looking but it wasn’t worth the hassle I went through. It’s more of a “in your own time” kinda game than a UA-cam game at this stage.

Honestly don't blame you. In comparison to the other games this one was not as interesting to watch idk if its just the power ups make it less interesting or how they give you no choice on plants.
This is why game companies should be held more accountable when it comes to their fans. PvZ is a great franchise when it comes to its games, but when PvZ 2 came out, the fans didn’t give enough scrutiny to PopCap games and EA, and as a consequence, we got this slop.

you need to play Plants VS Zombies Neighborhood Defense, it's a fan game and its amazing!
Plants vs zombies 1 was revolutionary. It was amazing and perfect. Maybe the money and shop thing could be considered slightly annoying by some, but it was rarely an inconvenience and basically served as a way to choose new plants that match your playstyle.
Plants vs zombies 2 was ok. It had a great artstyle and fun gimmicks that rarely felt overdone, the levels were hard but not impossible, and they implemented more leveling up so every plant had a chance to get better instead of simply becoming obsolete. However, it tripped over itself on all the microtransactions and randomness with the seed packets. If it was like dave's shop in pvz 1, where you simply use in-game currency to buy packets of plants that fit you, and then being able to upgrade those plants with the packets, then I could let it slide. But its not, and thats the big issue.
Plants vs zombies 3 was a trainwreck. The art is good, if not kinda weird sometimes. The story is.. ok. And basically everything else? Gone. Unique zombies and plants? Nah, lets just add powers that you can buy with real money and force you to use them! How about having unique worlds with cool backgrounds, music, and themes? Nah, who needs that when we can paste GREEN FOREST everywhere?? Adding any sort of flexibility to even allow players to choose what plants they want? In our game about plants??? No, of course not!! And just to fuck with them more, let's add lives so you have to leave because "oh no the plants we picked for you were bad for this level"! How about adding any sort of emotion or passion into this project? Pfft, who needs that!? Its a plants vs zombies game! Everyone loves plants vs zombies! Theyll just play the game anyways because they love the franchise!! This is EA, why would we ever want to make a game that people ENJOY!?!?!?!?

Ya know thinking about it, they could have made this game work. The problem is no crowd control... So just reintroduce plant food, doing that would make pre set plants actually be able to beat levels like a pea shooter could then beat a gargantuar and the cabbage pults could beat pidgeons by itself.

Something i would prefer pvz3 if it had all of the original core mechanics back but pre selected seeds should be used as a special level just like pvz2 make the gameplay connect to the story like every location you go has a different gimmick more boss fights that isnt related to dr zomboss the powers up should be the og power ups and also a hammer boosters should be remove except for the rake make the level slower paste so i cant overrun remove the dynamic difficulty

For me it's not gonna succeed newer gen kids are dumb so they would probably just rage quit at dynamic difficulties,hard night levels,wasted their power ups and coins,gets beaten by their parents because they stole their credit card just to buy an overpriced game pass,live system and fixed fog levels so combining all of that people would just rage quit the game without power ups for being impossible just like big wave beach

MATT!! when you play battle cats again if you play a hard stage and didnt get the reward click the treasure radar then double click the cat cpu then play it makes you beat the stage without playing it again but you need to beat it first
The og PVZ will always be the best one imo. PVZ2 was fine but I ultimately didn't like it and the third one looks awful to play. In terms of the spinoff shooter games Garden Warfare 1 and 2 were the best with Battle for Neighbourville not hitting the mark. It's a shame that the PVZ IP has tumbled like this.
Pvz2 was good at the early states but after the laziness of modern day it sucks

It’s a genuine shame what Big Corporations do to good games.
PvZ 1 was a masterpiece, there is no way around that. There is no other reason why PvZ is so loved and cherished than PvZ 1 being a great game.
PvZ 2 was a game that was made to grab some money from the near dead IP that was PvZ. Granted the game actually has decent levels, fun mechanics for different worlds, and tons of different ways to play the game. Hell you can *theoretically* beat the game with just NUT PLANTS.
And then, PvZ 3 is nothing more than a cash grab. Plain and simple.
It’s an evolution of a fun and enjoyable IP evolving in the current world. And it’s upsetting and disheartening that there will never ever be another game like PvZ 1

I think I’d prefer to see Pvz 2 shuttle or one of the really hard Pvz 1 mods. Honestly I love this channel but I dislike the Pvz 3 gameplay… to say the least it’s not fun to watch this game when you don’t have many plants and zombies. In Pvz 2 you get so many new plants and zombies at least every third or fourth and in Pvz 1 you get them almost every level. The only thing I like about this game is the return of Umbrella leaf and plantern.
That’s literally the only positive thing I have to say about this game
I swear this is like the 5th or 6th time this game has been released and they’ve messed up every single time. It completely misses what makes PvZ 1 and 2 fun and is clearly just a way to get some easy cash
