Alternatively, Rudy could have gone to a Division II or III school, maybe started for a year or two, and now have memories of actually starting and playing several games at his own level instead of being a practice punching bag. This is what most college athletes do. I was a shot putter and discus thrower at a division II school. My senior year I finished 6th place at nationals in the discus with my lifetime best throw and became a D II All-American. Had I been at a D I school, none of that would have happened.
While the movie is not historically accurate with all of the events it is a movie that is impossible not to get motivated after watching.
the end is actually pretty accurate,..
Agreed. In the midst of all the details that don’t really matter, I don’t understand why they trash Devine. He was a good guy in all this.
Dan Devine let all the seniors play. This movie paints him as the villain. Far from the truth.

Rudy and Dead Poet Society were two great movies in that area of late 80's, early 90's.
Rudy was a freaking beast
Very inspiring!! Loved it truly to this day and beyond.
Stetson bennet the 4th deserves a damn movie. A walk on qb leads a georgia bulldawgs team to a championship for the first time in 40 years!
I'm not even a georgia fan. Your absolutely right though. That was a special game.
Maybe someday
Two
Tears and more tears!! Rudy!!!
by far my favorite vince vaughn movie
only in the movies can an elf beat a giant
Esse filme é maravilhoso
Yeah! Who’s the wild man now!
Good movie but they did a Hatchet job on Dan Devine. He was all for letting Rudy play.
Best movie ever
If only this had ever actually happened.
Great clip!!!
Its really funny hearing Joe Montana talk about Rudy and those moments 🤣....not quite the same as the movie.
Yeah, Joe kinda of laughed at the movie and said it was a couple of guys that carried him and nobody else.
