      It's funny but you know what? You're gonna be tracking and mixing vocals onto a beat. You get to see in real time the difference while music is playing. I'd say that was genius.

    Just got mine today it's definitely not what i was expecting(in a good way) it looks like it's made out of thick foam which I thought but it's actually like a super thick egg carton material..it's super sturdy and not too heavy like my previous rockville shield that was ALWAYS weighing my stand down..good pickup I highly recommend if u got the $300 to spend

    It’s easier to set up than it’s competition and less weight on your microphone stand so as to not tip over. I’m impressed. I love the fact, that being it’s light weight it can be used inverted from its conventional position.

    • @archiebeatz
      @archiebeatz  4 роки тому

      I totally agree. It’s killing the competition and I trust it with my U87 any day of the week. It’s versatile on different stands as well.

    just bought it cus of that review, was skeptical about micscreens, but i think this one sounds pretty good, since i have a small room wich is already treated with rockwool panels and basstraps but i still get some unwanted roomsound from the ceiling corners and i got a big window in that 8qm room so i thought getting hands on this is a good idea in the front the aston halo in the back a treated wall. cant wait till it arrives and hopefully i can finaly concentrate on making music instead of being frustrated cus the raw material sounds trash even tho ive invested over 3k in equipment. thumbs up man good channel anyways keep it up, greetz from germany!

  • @szatek16
    @szatek16 4 роки тому +2

    I wanted to buy this but i think it won't do the job in totally untreated room. I built a rockswool reflection filter based on simillar shape but covering more area around the mic than aston halo and you definitelly can hear a room with it. It is better idea to spend those money for room treatment first.

    • @archiebeatz
      @archiebeatz  4 роки тому +4

      Honestly, it will help out even if you didn't have a treated room. A lot of songwriters & producers I know record in there hotel rooms with the Aston Halo. With that being said, a treated room still helps.

      Either or honestly. The IsoVox blocks more outside noise and sounds more like a booth. The Halo allows some room noise in. They both get the job done. It's honestly all about what your budget is and what you want your songs to sound like. I hope this helps.

    Question for anyone with a Bluebird SL Microphone.
    Do y’all have a problem with the Bluebird being too heavy for the shockmount it came with? Been dealing with it for about a year and a half just haven’t looked into getting a new shockmount.

      @@archiebeatz Hey Archie! Updating this so that if anyone else is having similar issues, it can help them out.
      So I reached out to Blue and they sent me a replacement screw for the shockmount holder. Unfortunately, it didn’t resolve my issue and seemingly made it worse. The mic was still leaning forward!
      Each screw has a single rubber piece, I took the rubber piece off of my original screw and added it on the new screw, so now I have two rubber pieces on one screw! It seemed to have done the trick too! Now my mic is holding in place with no issues.

      It's included. Instead of screwing a shockmount or mic clip on ur actual mic stand like normal u instead screw the halo on it. It's a universal screw size for all mic stands so the halo fits every mic stand. Then ur shockmount or mic clip screws on to the halo itself instead of the actual mic stand. Thts the part he shows in the video & yes it's in the box w/ the halo. The halo is prob the best of these vocal iso options but it still just works OK. I've used it for years & like it but don't love it

      Hey Noel. There’s so many great DAWs out there. I use Avid Pro Tools mainly for recording and mixing but now I use Universal Audio Luna about 20% of the time for recording and mixing. I would look at different videos of DAWs like Ableton, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools and others and see which one calls to your creative workflow 🙏🏽
