I just recived some stems for a mix, and I was suprised at how good the vocal sounded, since it was supposedly just recorded in the artists home, but sounded much better than some studio recordings I've worked with. I asked how he recorded it and he just pointed at his Focusrite Scarlett starter kit and this thing. Consider me impressed.

It doesn't "wrap around 360 degrees;" it barely covers 180 degrees. It is a hemisphere, not a sphere

Even Aston Microphones can't eliminate the law of physics. The Halo might CHANGE the sound. But does it SOLVE the problems of reflectons? ;)

Would this work with a sony c800g on a mic stand with an extended arm?

As long as the boom arm is set straight up vertically it should be fine. However if the boom arm was set at an angle it would be too heavy. A heavy duty stand is recommended. Thanks

Just learn the lyrics, so that you don't have to read them. That's the best most of the time, because you can focus on the feeling while recording & you can use the "Aston Halo".

Halo doesn’t matter when the mic is faulty. My first Aston purchase was the origin, had a white noise problem out of the box
