Should've also put optional 3 year contract extensions on all the overpaid players, then immediately activated them to extend those contracts to 2031 - that would've likely truly killed the club. Otherwise a great job in killing off Man City's aspirations for further success!
Thank you for making the video I suggested. I hope that you will do the rest of the series (otherwise there's nothing to compare to and see if you can do better) with PSG, Bayern Munich, Celtic and anyone else you think fits the bill. In terms of what else you could do: Release all the staff, cancel all affiliates, ask for facility and coaching downgrades, and a totally different approach is play a terrible tactic with everyone on the wing, an outfield player in goal and goalkeepers outfield (Play same tactics and lineup whenever possible instructions). and release key players at the start. I hope that you complete this mini-series, especially taking onboard comment suggestions.
My goat with the super thanks. I want to do more, I am thinking of variationd of how to package it up. I can't look past a wheel where everything sucks haha
Great episode Jay, it's almost an impossible challenge though. I moved them to Vanarama North, stripped their reputation to local, got rid of the sheikh and all the staff and any player who isn't English over the age of 19 and removed all of their income and replaced it with small time money. I gave them £500,000,000 debt to try and top it off. The end result is them climbing the leagues with Bellingham, Alba and other big names leading the way, how the hell that happened i have no idea.
Mumbai is part of the City Football Group so they have an affiliation with them in the game. Thats why they all went there on loan. Man United spending 1.625m pounds per week on 3 players, such as United thing to do 😂.
Interesting video! The problem with wealthy teams is that they are almost impossible to destroy, as if success and wealth were hardcoded into them. Doing the exact same thing on other teams wouls absolutely destroy them. Gonna try these strategies on Boca Juniors:))
Problem with City is no matter what you do to break them financially, the board always rectifies it with "sponsorship deals." They're virtually impossible to break. Only real way is to plug in a tactic that forces them to lose and get relegated through the leagues, only sign goalkeepers on stupid money.. but yeah, it's pretty difficult manually!
@@jayhuahua Adding yourself is lame, I mean you could just run the worst tactic with the U18, get sacked 5 times a season and destroy any team with no effort. The transfer and contract tricks are way more fun, and I like the challenge of staying right on the edge of getting sacked as long as possible
Releasing all players is very difficult because there are so many, the editor just lags horrendously because the only real feasible way of doing it is on mass
Howabout moving Celtic and rangers into the lowest possible league in England to see what happens to them, and at the same time, who takes over as the powerhouse in Scotland?
Really enjoying this....I am giving it a go! Think I might add a twist. Purchase the entire Dumbarton side (who are in financial distress in real life) for hopelessly inflated fee's and wages that would excite a Tory and when sacked take over at the Rock and see how far the cash can take them!
@@jayhuahua they couldnt afford to buy other players because of the sky-high wage budget, so they would have no choice but to play the inferior players. By the end of your experiment (before the contracts ran out) the poor players you had signed must have been playing the majority of matches, hence the team doing poorly.
You should have made them play a try hard meta tactic and done well initially until players can leave, so that you could stay in the job until the next summer. Another window of signing conference players would have done it
Hmmm i maxed out wages and had 50% wage increases so would have had no budgets, but maybe I could have done better selling players in the following summer
@ yes that’s true, I hadn’t thought of that. Also agree that another window you could have spammed offering out the players and really get rid of everyone. Great concept, gonna have to try this myself and see if I can do better
Another method would be year 1 swap all players/ finances and/or facilities with random National League team. Then you sre if Random team can get to the prem and how much Man City fall before they rebuild.
I'm pretty sure I know why City weren't really hit that hard financially during this experiment. While doing a save where I was trying to get Swindon to the prem and win the ucl, i began to mess with City by using FMRTE which is an editor and gave their players massive wages and debt with big interest. I'm talking about wages like Kalvin Philips being on 10 million a week. They somehow always managed to overcome the debt even if they were 800 million in the red and got around ffp. That's when I looked deeper into their financials on FMRTE and noticed that they had a sugar daddy that was marked as front end which seems to be the best one and is what other clubs like PSG also have and clubs that have a tycoon takeover happening end up getting. Once I removed that, they weren't being bailed out anymore 😂
@jayhuahua yeah sort of. Everyone is talking about how slot compares and differs to klopp. Is slot ball better than klopp ball?? A comparison/versus video I think would be unique and new. Don't think anyone has done it yet
i did the same with RB leipzig (only difference was that i made myself un-sackable), it was surprisingly hard, they basically had infinite money their benefactor didn't stop saving them (i dont know how much money he gave the club but i think it got into the billions) but at the end i succeeded and they are ruined, it was also some of the most fun i had, if you do this again read through some news articles, there's some hilarious stuff
It took a few years for them to get relegated, having sacked a couple of managers, but if real life, I wonder which manager they would be blaming. Could you imagine the talk in the local pubs 😂. I'd stay out of Manchester if I were you or probably Europe 😂. And why so surprised about the mighty villa 🤔🤣🤣🤣
Mumbai is part of the City Group of clubs. Admittedly it is one of the smaller clubs, but the players you signed are probably so bad they weren’t good enough for the MLS or the Australian league 😂
Are Liverpool not top of football ?😂😂😂 Prem leauge champs league...i always ..being a pool fan at start of new game take over man utd sell best players for pennys.sack all staff. And sign players from glentoran and sorta back hand sponser them. Or ill buy a newly promoted teams worse players. Then i resign.
Yeah not as much longevity in these but trying some new ideas. Some hit better. The wonderkid wheel was a random idea that has taken off so hopefully some others I have cooking hit just as well. I appreciate the honest feedback though 👍
the timing on this 😂

Bayern or PSG would be good to destroy. Maybe sack all staff and employ crap ones on high wages too.
That's a decent ish shout but from a previous experiment i have established staff don't make massive difference. But it prob wouldn't do any harm haha
i did this in my save with psg then left and managed in the refreshed ligue 1. it was quite a fun save idea!!

Very pleasing
I tried this with RB Leipzig once, it's a tough challenge but you were far more successful than me. Kinda want to give it another shot
The key aspect is you get one stint as manager. If you can keep re-adding yourself as manager its a lot easier

Can you release all playes and give transfer embargos to all top 100 or so clubs to see what new gens can do

it’s great i’ve done this!!! ligue 1 became a fun league

Using the wheel spin as a debuild could be fun.
I'm considering this as an option 👍
should have done contract extensions, could have got them up to 8 years
That'd involve the club triggering them and they almost certainly wouldn't have done
@@jayhuahua i'm sure theres an option where contract extensions trigger automatically if they play enough games in the final season?
@twoddgames yes, but the reality is they weren't going to play were they
