i dont care for them having Bert climb the wall and go upside down, its silly in the wrong way, they should have him jump from high peaks of roof tops using the cables using the cables to carry him distances beyond reality but still close, more modern Parkour style, its would be way better. Not to mention that climbing the ceiling is just dumb.
uh ok,...and its dumb, whats your point? Its similar to fight scenes in modern movies where the guy that gets hit does a horizontal body spin, something that has never happened in real life, but they do it because they can, not because they should, or anyone is demanding another stupid body spin. broadway productions are having Burt walk on the ceiling because its an easy hold for the body harness and the two wires going up to the control gantry....not because its actually that interesting or dynamic. Disney made more effect with stretching the reach of an actual jump instead of going to cheap tricks like this. IMO
Whatyoudo I’m sorry if I upset you or something. It’s community theatre, and it’s a family show and families will like seeing a man walk upside down on the roof of a theatre, ok?
best non-broadway production I’ve seen so far and that’s a really high standard! amazing cast and production design
I really love non-replica productions and this one looks like it could tour smaller theatres! Amazing! Great job on the design!
That scoop up to the F6 was unexpected!
The sets were exceptional and the actors/actresses were amazing and the effects sweet oz
such a great show!!! the tap routine was the greatest number i've ever seen performed in a musical!!!
So many negative comments. Its a great production, Broadway or not, Disney produced or not. It's different and fun.
The musical is so different to the film with Julia Andrews
How did they get Bert to hang upside down like that?! Someone please tell me!
Wires perhaps?
A special harness!
the stage design oh my lord
Band sounds wonderful! who was the conductor/MD?
Can you give me the backing tracks please? I really need it
This isnt the Broadway Show.
Yah. What’s your point?
Julian Robbel nobody said it is...
Look at 4:40. @@gavi3
Julian Robbel when you get the rights, it means that you’re putting on the Broadway show, but you’re not actually on Broadway.

Whatyoudo most productions like to copy the broadway version where Bert does the upside-down walk.

Whatyoudo I wasn’t excising Disney from doing it I was just saying that this production (like most) wanted to copy the ceiling walk.
