That is Zizi Strallen. It is a shame the mics are so poor, her voice is amazing and just not done justice here.
Her sister played her too years ago and it's amazing how similar they sound!!
I originally wasn't that much of a fan of Zizi as Mary Poppins at first but after watching a few more performances of her as Mary Poppins, she is amazing
Weird seeing her play Mary after her being in Rock of Ages where she wore very few clothes!! lol

We saw her as Mary recently, I can't tell you how much better she is than this one performance. Seriously, the talent she has is unbelievable. There's another number later in the show where she literally sings, dances (like this,) and then a solo tap dance. Honestly, just amazing!

Such a fun and colourful production. I took my daughter and granddaughter, who dances, to see this when it first opened.

I saw Charlie Stemp a few years ago in half a sixpence and I said to my daughter he's the one to watch in the future. So far I haven't been wrong
Sat here with the biggest smile on my face. One of my most favourite musicals, been lucky enough to see it twice on tour. One day I'll see it in London!

Went to London to watch this a couple nights ago It was fantastic. The children are all so talented for there age as are the adults. Best night ever.
Mary Poppins is one of my favourite stage musicals from Cameron Mackintosh, I saw it with Zizi Strallen, Charlie Stemp and Petula Clark at the Prince Edward Theatre in London on Saturday 14th December 2019, it was brilliant and they were amazing
I'm an expat Brit living in the US. On a recent visit home, my son surprised me by meeting me in Leicester Square, with tickets to see Mary Poppins the same evening!
Its always been on my bucket list to see Petula sing live, so this was just one of the best evenings of my life. The show was stunning, loyal to the original film, but with new songs and new plot twists, absolutely fantastic.
Amazing performance by all. A massive shout out to the 2 Kids cant wait to see what the future holds for them

come back to watch this as my favourite show leaves the west end today :'( I hope one day they bring it back with the same cast, they're all so good and the joy this show brings me is just indescribable. I'm gutted I couldn't see the show once more before it left prince Edward theatre. I suppose at last, the wind has changed..

Saw this show tonight - Absolutely adored it. I had no idea that was Petula Clark til now! She was great. Beautiful production, astounding.
The adults are great and it's a given. I'm amazed that the kids were able to match them at a young age. Saying their lines and choreography in front of an audience.
They're probably stage school trained.

I saw Zizi Strallen who did Mary Poppins performed live at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford during the UK Tour in Yorkshire in England in the UK in 2016.
Seen the show in London on Saturday past.. Made a spur of the moment decision to go see it and bhoy was I not disappointed.. Absolutely incredible cast and performance.. A must see if your in London

I'm not sure about this production specifically, but I know the production my high school did several years ago had the Bird Woman doubled with Mrs. Andrews, and given that it's Disney, I think it's reasonable to assume that was Disney's idea & therefore the way all the productions are supposed to do it.
She just plays the bird woman and she's brilliant! :)

For some inexplicable reason, Petula is a CBE, not a Dame. Let's hope this is rectified while she can still enjoy the honor.
@@hnc52 Ikr ! Actually, as a french speaker, I used "Dame" as a very strong mark of respect for Petula Clark. In french, Dame is not an official title like "Lady" in english but a classy way to call someone :)

She really hasn't. I watched the show in London a few weeks ago and she was brilliant! I think being on the stage outside plays a part in poor sound. And she's probably shattered from doing every show!
Petula plays the part beautifully with meaning to every word..she has been acting for 75 years since her early childhood films and is singing in a lower register of course but still with her trademark inflections and magic
