Light acceleration and cool drive by make a great deep sound... The sound we all look for and come to mind when we think V8... Thanks for sharing, awesome mopar...
I love Chargers. I owned three 1973 Dodge Chargers. The car shown is NOT a 1973 Charger. The '73 has little rubber bumpers. The first skinny rubber bumpers showed up around 71. In 73 they were wider. This car is likely a 1970
I owned a 73 Charger se and it was identical to this one. Even the same color, it had steel bumpers loke this one. 400 block, auto, a/c and was a very nice Charger.
the main road makes this left curve. the dodge came out from a sideway. the line just separates this sideway from the main road. but it looks a bit confusing.
no problem mate :) i know every driver knows that theres a curve and a other sideway but in germany the streets are "idiot safe" ^.^ we have sign for just everything and that sometimes REALLY sucks.
Miss mine but after the 400 I was done with Mopar and I love a big block just not that engine takes more to build that it's worth and still bottom end came apart
ich habe ein 72 charger und mein 400...und das ist gross block....hat fumen...und ich habe ein 383 das geben und es ist sehr schnell und mein farbe wollen ...tor=red gesein .....was i8st farbe von sein auto bitter??? nice auto....dwd
73 Charger was ok.. The 400 was not a very well known engine.. I have never heard anything good about the Chryco 400 as this engine was a Smog engine...
The Chrysler 400 was only a smog engine after 1973, just like everything else at that time. It shares its block and crankshaft with the 383 big block. The 400 just had a larger bore diameter. The 400 actually has the largest bore ever used in a production engine by Chrysler, 4.34 inches (110 mm) which means they breathe extremely well. Chrysler's shaft-mounted rocker arm design is also quite stable at higher rpm's in these engines. This is great because these particular big blocks have a 3.375 inch stroke (86 mm, which is rather short for a big block v8) which means the engine is certainly capable of extreme RPM's if someone were to rebuild one and spend the extra money on good strong lightweight pistons, aluminum heads and a roller cam & valve train that can easily stand up to 7,000-8,000 rpm. A build like that can still produce good torque in the low end/mid range of the power band while also producing a solid 550-600 horsepower no problem. And that's with a basic induction, any aftermarket 4-barrel carb flowing anywhere between 750 to 1,000 CFM and a decent intake manifold with shorter/fatter runners than the stock one.
There's nothing like the sound of a BIG BLOCK 4-BBL!
Wowzer that puppy is running rich!

Was ein hammergeiler Sound!!!!
Muscle Cars sind Engel, die durch den Auspuff zu uns sprechen :D
Although I prefer the 68-70 chargers more, this thing is pretty sick!
Ein Genuss!
"Dodge, the brotherhood of muscle"
What a wonderful alternative to a 68,69 or 70. Just buy a 1971, 72 or 73. Far less cheaper too.
Hey guys. I was looking for quarter window louvres for a 1973 400 magnum. Anyone know where I can find them?
Wow that sounds nice sure wish that would sound greater here in crowley
@Apfelmuuhs sicher ersatzteile und sprit, richtig?

People swap bumpers sometimes to get the look they want, even grilles.
Bill k. this is not a a 1970 charger its a 73 72 or 71 or 74 for the body style of the 3rd generation

The lines indicate the boundary of the road and they indicate you "there is a curve".
YEAH, go MidWest, heart of AMERICA
Jedidiah Scott I don't think that's America
No such engine as a 400 magnum. By 73 -74 the 400 inch motor was a truck motor that found its way into passenger cars. Rated at 240 HP.

You are letting a Girl Drive that? that is too much power for a girl !!!
Kann ich da E10 tanken?

Mein Traum-Auto, sieht wirklich geil aus. Der Sound ist auch Hammer. Aber die Farbe leider nicht.
It looks like switzerland am i right ? That's where i live 😁
in amerika gibts schon seit den 70ern E10!

was für ein Ohrgasmus^^
There was no 400 Mag. The big blocks were either 383, or 440, but there was no 400 big block or small block
400 cubic inches isn't really a big block on this car.
yeah, but it's a big block engine, (383, 400, 426, 440, etc.)as opposed to a small block (318, 340, 360, etc)
+Love Boxxy I'm not sure where you earned your mechanics degree, but you might want to try for a refund.
+Tenolin hahaha... True dat
EINE FRAU AM STEUER?????!!!!
