Very professionally done video. Our battle will be legendary.
You guys should do a video together
Our battle 🤔 I smell some kind of collab
Your 69 vs his 68
The battle of the chargers
Ya derby Charger battle.
i can't tell you how much I love the jokes. this is about the sketchiest thing we've done in about... today. and "it's been so long... like 2 weeks". even commenting my two cents on a channel with over a million subs. have a great day.
Literally my dream car

Uncle Tony has a T-shirt for you... just sayin'.
I am so glad to see someone rescued that car.
I had one back in the 60's, loved it. Still love it.
We needed a bigger vehicle after having kids so I reluctantly sold it to a coworker. His son still has it.
There are times when I really miss that car.
I loved that body style the first time I saw one at the dealer.
Just knowing it is back in drive-able condition makes me happy.
He will manage to fuck it up like everything else he owns.
We have the same name.

Something undeniably beautiful about an old car sitting defeated like that until she gets another chance at life. Thank you for reviving that piece of history Westen.
Like everyone here, I cannot put in to words properly how much I love tater, and how well the car fits you!
WE LOVE YOU HOOVIE. HOOK ME UP WITH THE PIMP MY RIDE VAN
Damn! I felt in love with that beauty. I would drive it exactly like that. Just getting it street legal for Germany and then drive it every day to the university! 😍 If you ever wanna get rid of this car pls let me know and I will import the car of my dreams to Germany 🤯
Ey up hoovie!
Must love Hoovie for encouraging bad ideas!!
The godfather of Witchita UA-camrs has arrived. Is this why you're selling everything Tyler? To try to buy the cheapest running, driving Smokestang in the USA?
This could have been a 5 part build series but Westen just had to give us in one go😂. Great find, great classic.
i hate when people drag it out. welp today we installed a new steering wheel cover, come back for episode 62.7 of the build series.
@@tylermcguire2163 It needs a middle ground tbh like doing a build over a month is fair so they can make a decent return money wise off of the video, but that being said some youtubers especially bigger ones *cough cough TJ Hunt* like to literally put out a video to announce that next week they are putting out a video
Roadkill
Why wait? 🤣
The sound of that engine is perfect 😩
Yeah it's incredible bruh
Thanks for sharing this Awsome find!! Had 3 69 RoadRunners in my first marriage and I loved mine, drove it everyday. My daughter grew up in it. It was the late 80s early 90s.
Love the old Muscle, they are the Best.
Big Boy got himself some old school American Muscle…looking forward to seeing what beast comes out of the 68’ Charger
Me too

@@raviolibandit8396 Nah, he already did that with the Smokestang. 😛
$1 says he slaps at least 1 turbo in it
I mean he does have a he'll cat he can't do anything on the streets with ! I'm thinking a swapppp
The charger at the brink of death: my time has come.
Westen: The living are not done with you yet.
Well if you take the engine out doesn’t that mean it died

That is a good noise. I hope to someday meet you and taters 🙂 . I'm a 40 year old ND farm boy/grain trucker and I love your channel. I used to own a rough shape white 69 charger that i sold so i could buy a rebuilt 396 chevy engine back in 2002 (still have the motor but miss the charger everyday since ) and it almost brought tears to me hearing yours do what she's been denied for 35 years.
Nice rescue! So glad to see you have saved a classic.
So epic! Well done boys!
Aye looks like the next resto mod build
Hi throtl
you dont want to miss my come up!💙🤞ua-cam.com/video/wp44v4gXbA4/v-deo.html

This shit is so funny. I love the fact that Westin is basically a grown baby. He gets so happy and it lights up my day.
This is hands down one of the best engine sounds i have ever heard coming out of a car. It sounds better than vin diesel's charger. Sounds almost like punishers(movie) black dodge charger. . Loved it. Wish i could have one of my own. One day . Indeed. Gotta work hard . To own one 🤘🤞✨.
having a car that you love that was abandoned basically and you built and put back together has gotta be one of the best feelings bro i wanna do this, restoring an old car i like but i doubt i will but it would be fucking awesome bro
Can we all just be grateful for the fact that Weston took all this time to make one glorious video and not a boring 39 part miniseries.
Honestly, I prefer seeing more of the process. It helps us to appreciate the final product more.
I'm with you. I've seen 100 cars, motorcycles, etc, built, this was nice
No, we need more vids
Would have been good if it was bit longer and showed a bit more of the process. But certainly like the fact he doesn't drag it out over dozens of episodes.
Bold of to assume this is the last we will see of this car.
This had strong Roadkill vibes especially when he brought out the cardboard list board and sharpie. But then when he pulled out a 440 out of a motor home I knew he was going full Roadkill, just in time for General Mayhem to be brought back to its 440 motor home glory as well.
yes but he at least fix the brakes before driving it lol
hell yeah
HECK YEAH
Waaaaaay more effective at motor harvesting....🤣
I was gonna say, as soon as I saw the motor home, roadkill flash backs 😅 🤣
YOU ARE THE MAN !!! I so pumped to see what the future is for that fine ass car. Love your videos!!!
What a car! The "paint job" , the shape, the motor! so nice man, good job!
I wish he uploaded more! This guy is hilarious! Makes me laugh every video I watch The humor is just great!
#paidcomments
Funny thing about his channel, most channels get about 30% of the views of their subscriber count. This guy is constantly in the 85%+ range.
I'm curious what age y'all are?
@@JM-yx1lm I am 16 and have been watching since I was 13 or so
Even in that shape, still a beautiful car. I had one back in the late 90's. Bought it sight unseen at an estate auction. Dude that passed had 14 old cars sandwiched into an old barn. I got lucky and took a '69 that hadn't run in years, was moldy, dusty, and needed interior work, but the frame was good and there was very little rust. Got it at a steal for $2500. The lady selling them just wanted them gone. I was fortunate to have a small group of buddies who were car guys and we put some work into her and got her running smooth. Painted it a really cool burnt orange with some sheen to it. Drove that car for about six years, right up through college. Definitely got noticed and had quite a few young ladies check out the back seat. Unfortunately I had a run in with a drunk driver one evening that did damage and ended with the car wrapped around a large maple tree. Too bent to hell to save. Now that I'm older and have some toy money to spend I'm looking for another one that is either completely redone, or close to it. This definitely brought back some memories.
That's such a tragedy for a car like that to end the way it did. This is a good example of why drinking and driving don't mix, it could end the lives of both people and cars that are loved and cherished by many
This is my dream car and I only wish I could pick up one for that price right now. I don't even want to buy a restored or built piece because I want to put my own time in and make it my own but it seems like everyone finds one and wants to sell a shell with nothing in it for 30 grand or more. I'll just have to wait a while longer.
@@charlesr.4452 The dream. To work on a car and make it truly yours
Respect 🤘❤️
Sad end for a charger, but better than sitting as a collector’s piece unloved and undriven!
That's so freaking awesome!! Well done man keep up the great work much love to ya see ya on the next one
Western .I am new to the channel, just happened to find you a couple of days ago and I have to say that you are the best site's real deal that I have seen lately . You say it and show it how it done and are alive and kicking in your personality.dont stop .Maby one day you could put a blower on a 1968 to 1972 Oldsmobile cutlass. Thanks for all your hard work and God Bless! The patina on that thing is absolutely gorgeous. Glad to see another American classic back on the road.

Looks like we need our Chargers to meet.
The torch has been lit.

@@danielseelye6005 please do!!!
I love how happy he is enjoying his life❤️
You made me cry. It was an awesome and emotional video that car its a fighter.
While that casing is cracked on the Dodge motorhome transmission you want the gears out of it! The motorhomes had lower gears in the transmission. Swap them into a long tail 727. Old drag racing secret. Neat old charger.
Dont know about the industrial 413 though...thats what that motorhome has..read the air cleaner 265 hp was the industrial 413,yes they made them in h.d trucks until the late 70's car 413 ended in 1965..
@@01trsmar Is was a 71 or 72 that was rated at 265 wasn't it?
I have a 1970 Commander Motorhome with the 265 hp 413 in it. I didn't notice a raised water pump with connections to the 2 heads on Westens motor. That is the easiest way to distinguish between the 413 industrial and 440 motorhome engines. The other way is exhaust manifolds.
Sadly Westen didn't really give a good view of the engine until after the two weeks later. Not sure what the 1971 or 72 440 has for Hp but would think about the same as the 413 would be about right. Neither were high compression engines and the 413 was setup for better cooling then the 440 and more industrial applications. Surprisingly they offered the 413 for as long as they did the 440 in motorhomes and in big trucks. I wonder which one was the more expensive engine option. I am guessing the 413 was a more expensive option then the 440.
not true. old wives tale. there was no low 1st 727, that was the 904/999 trans. however, the 727 motorhome trans has a 4 pinion planetary, and more clutch packs. you can get aftermarket low 1st gears now though.
Shes a beauty.. Nice work getting it back on the road
love ur vids
Yup.
For the first time I get excited over a yt video. Good job, guys, you really made my day!
From Winnebago to Dodge, it's like LEGO. Plug 'n Play, man, Plug 'n Play!!!! ... No serious, fantastic sound and work. LOVE IT.
This is where David and mike on roadkill failed when they tore apart their pace arrow for the big block in the general mayhem. They should have just rented a skid steer for about 325$ a day. 🤷 this build is gonna be awesome 👏 😎🇺🇸
That wouldn't have made as much of an episode lol. Then again 🤔
Picture Dave running the skid steer and Mike standing with both fists pumped in the air
I thought the same thing LOL, almost exactly like roadkill
They had to pay a guy to finish it
Westen does roadkill. They had general mayhem, he made general mayonnaise.
Exactly
Exactly
Mayonnaise blew the alternator then the ignition coil said “see you later”!!!!
Nailed it!
Mayonnaise allot of bondo on the assend! 🤣🤣
Man I swear your videos are cinema quality. Love ya big boi!
It's alive!! Aliiiive!! A comeback story worthy of Shelley.
You know, I wondered about the old joke that Chargers of this era were decimated in the late 70's by 'The Dukes of Hazzard', but the estimated butcher bill is about 300 cars, according to Google. So there's plenty more to be found, out there, waiting for second life, given by loving industrious hands. : )
The more I watched this I realized how similar this is to Roadkill's Charger, and it is AWESOME.
I was thinking that when I realised why they had a motor home
Vice Grip Garage bought it I think.
@@Valdemar-Perez-III they bought the Vanishing Paint Challenger i believe
motorhome powertrains are an easy go-to powertrain for old muscle. A big block V8 with a big cam and a sturdy transmission. A 440 and 727 powertrain is what you'd find from a factory charger back in the day anyways.
Motor home 440 power
This literally warms my heart seeing you so happy and I can’t wait to see this build progression I love the content

Does anyone else remember when roadkill did this exact thing ? An brought a 68 charger back to life that episode was a classic
Back when roadkill was still great. I hope westen doesn't fall off his track, being sponsored by dodge..
